TaciturnPhoenix
Just like the title says. For me, it was during finals of sophomore year of high school. My Physics final was two days long; One day for multiple choice, one day for two essays. I knew I aced the multiple choice, but I was terrible at the conceptual essays. I had planned to go home and review, but I got distracted when my friend called me over for Smash. I got home at 11:00 and completely forgot about the essays. After falling asleep, I had a dream that I was reading over two prompts for the second half of the final. Well, it turns out that the prompts in my dream were the same EXACT ones that were on the test. Only person in my entire grade to get an A on those. Pocky
I'd have to say almost dying in a fire. I remember back when i was a wee 2nd grader a fire started at the place we lived in, and luckily we woke up when our dog was barking madly. We woke up and found out that there was a fire burning and it was really huge, so we quickly took the things we needed/wanted to save and ran the fuck outta there. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the doge
Ironbound
I never did think much of luck/fate/what-have-you in my life, so I can't really recall many such incidents. But I vividly remember one. When I was a kid, I used to go poking around woods, lakes and beaches on family trips. On one such trip, I found myself alone on a hillock near a coffee plantation, and had unwittingly stumbled upon a king cobra. I know, it sounds fantastic, but I was face to face with what must have been at least a twelve-foot serpent, hood flared and raising a third of itself off the ground so it was looking poor little eleven-year-old me almost eye-to-eye. We both faced each other immobile for a few minutes, when the thing finally lowered itself and slowly slithered away into the underbrush. It was a hugely lucky break from almost certain death, as I later realized. That thing has enough venom in one bite to kill 25 people; I would have been unable to dodge or outpace it, and had it bitten me, I would surely have succumbed to the neurotoxins in that lonely place, far before anyone could have found me. Case in point: no more solo-hikes into remote, wild places. I also see that this thread is going much deeper than Physics finals

Guest
the one time i was at the beach with my family and this huge wave came outta nowhere; i don't remember much because i fainted, but when i woke up, turns out my brother had saved me from drowning by jumping in at the last second, holding me and protecting me from the impact of a huge boulder at the coast. (maybe it was the impact that made me faint?) he was all wounded as well as a result too.... thanks bro, you've always been the cornerstone of the family in times of need. Cobalt996
Ever had snow? Ever had ice? Ever tried breaking said ice with a sledgehammer, while standing on more ice? Let's just say I'm glad my arms lock while I'm falling.
Anthony810
I guess I might as well...... When I was a kid I don't remember how old I was, I fell down stairs and busted my head open and I was lucky to be alive. Years later I drowned. I was reckless when I drowned. And I dare not ever wanna experience that again. When I was helping my mom at where my mom worked I was blowing a balloon up with some of that substance that keeps the balloon from deflating the balloon popped and some of that substance got in my eye, and it hurt like hell luckily I shed my eyes out, and I nearly swore infront of customers when the balloon popped. Thank god I was only there for a short time.
