Pokemon in the Real World News Stories

So me and my friends played this game where we thought of scenarios if Pokemon were in the real world, what kind of accidents and disasters it would cause. We went off the Pokemon, their moves, and abilities, but not Pokedex entries because some are just crazy. Then we said our idea like a reporter bringing news to the rest. It was pretty fun.

For instance:

Disaster today at the Ichiban Sushi Bar when a Magikarp in the kitchen evolved. The Gyarados attacked and killed seven of the restaurants' employees and injured twenty-six others. Poke-Rangers were able to capture it after twenty-two hours of battling. When questioned, the owner of the restaurant, Mr. Pokemon, claims that, "The Magikarp have always been Lv 5 and lower when bought. They are fed rare candies to help improve flavor. The attacking Gyarados must have been caught at a higher level."

Oh, this sounds interesting. Of course, it wouldn't be much fun to think about what the legendary, Titanic Pokémon would do; practically all of them have powers to destroy the world.

But then again, such Pokémon would probably never be seen, because I assume the 'real' world won't have ten year olds with captured Poke-deities.

No but police will be looking for a 10 yo with a poorly trained charmander seen fleeing Viridian forest shortly before it went up in flames. It took 3 weeks for firefighting Pokemon to contain the blaze. The wildlife casualty numbers are inestimable.

Yeah, I can get behind this.

"Emergency services joined forces today to tackle a blaze that struck Eterna City Pokemon Gym after an incident this morning. Reports suggest that a trainer challenging the gym brought with him one or more fire-type Pokemon that, for reasons as yet unknown, went out of control and caused a fire in the building. The grassy interior only helped to stimulate the fire. As a result, three people, including gym leader Gardenia and the challenger involved, received minor injuries. Experts say the incident is likely to spark an investigation into the quality of fire safety procedures in similar gyms."

During the gameshow "Are you smarter than an Alakazam," the contestant, James of Team Rocket, was Skarmory-lifted to the hospital after becoming immobilized when an Electivire in the audience zapped him with a Thunder Wave. Witnesses in the audience say a weird-ass dude in a lab coat was seen fleeing the scene with a man in an eyepatch. Officer Jenny of the Jubilife Police Force was first on the scene. "Who the hell uses a Thunder Wave on a game show contestant? This isn't the Reborn region!"

"Top stories for tonight, the urban legend of the Vanilite line's snowbodies tasting like Ice Cream have been proved untrue by one dumb or risky child. Said kid is in the hospital now, being treated of Pneumonia due to the Vanilite's attempts to knock them away despite the child's tongue being frozen stuck to the Icier body underneath. Luckily, the child will likely recover, and the Vanilite has agreed to stop attacking after it learned the Scald-treatment would free it from the child's tongue. More on this story as well as others to come."

Breaking Mews!!!

A massive explosion occured today at the major baseball game between the Kanto Rockets and the Kalos Flares! An one-eyed witness tells us that the explosion happened right after a ball was thrown and hit by a player's bat. There must be some bomb mechanism implanted into the ball, and the only information we have is that it was red and white with two dots resembling eyes. The death toll so far is 101 people. Fortunately some fans were saved behind what seemed to be the invisible barrier created by a... Mime in thea audience!

The events are surely electrifying! Stay tuned for more information by Gossip Gardevoir at 20:20.

Cinnabar Island Gym to undergo heavy repairs:

When challenging Blaine, the Fire leader of Kanto, one would think that not much could go wrong if you bring your Swampert along for the battle. However, after one trainer repeatedly used Earthquake in their battle, the roof collapsed. League Officials are debating whether or not Earthquake belongs on the Ban List.

Follow-up news:

It seems the Earthquakes caused by Swampert were not the cause of the collapse, since Blaine's gym fits all the safety quota. Apparently, there is a family of Diglett that have migrated from Vermillion using a branch of the tunnel that led to Pewter city, and ended up right below Blaine's gym. The perpetrators were caught having also emerged from the abandoned mansion at the west side of the island. People of Cinnabar are afraid of bigger disasters to come, especially with recent reports on the region's volcano being active again.
