Swampellow
the evolution final forms have 2 alternate routes. it also says that theirs a secret to them like rockruff. so maybe version exclusive final forms? that would be the first time we have ever gotten something like that. if this were to happen (which is very likely now that we have gotten confirmation of the rockruff thing) that would mean we have 6 new pokemon from the 3 starters. And regarding Lycanroc, from what we know so far, the two forms function more similar to Meowstic. As we have not gotten confirmation that they have different stats, which many people are speculating they will despite us having zero clue except for pokedex entries(which we all know aren't always great *ahem*Pigeot's speed for example) as all we have right now is that the forms are version exclusive and have different move sets, which is pretty similar to Meowstic, who has 2 different forms with different abilities and movesets. So that means if the starters do have the same "secret" then maybe the 2 versions of the starters will have the same type and/or the same stats; who knows? We certainly don't. Chase
I can tolerate LuchaLitten a whole lot more if it's a Sun- or Moon- Litten evolution type of deal. The thing that should be clarified though - is that while Lycanroc has two different forms depending on the version - that both Middayroc and Midnightroc are called "Lycanroc" - this means that if we're assuming the version exclusive evolution paths are similar to Rockruff's we're dealing with only two Pokemon for each starter, but they will share the same name with it's other version form. (For example, let's say Litten evolves into "Luchaguar" or something ... The correct way to refer to both forms would be Midday-Luchaguar / Midnight-Luchaguar.) Jmanultrax1
if anything, the possibilities are: 1. same name, different stats 2. same name, different types 3. same name, different stats and types. more likely its the second option in my opinion. Pocky
If you survive that then you're game since you can either hit superhard with last resort reminder that you need to use all your moves first in order to use last resort. and sure, last resort does 240 bp, but you'll most likely be running a baton pass set so you won't be able to even use last resort, so you should just stick with double edge and return. also stated in my analysis above, eevee can't sweep unless its checks are eliminated, like metagross and easily tank any hit and fire back with a hammer arm, ohkoing it, so it's more of a late game oriented sweeper with its z-move. not really broken at all. not to mention that taunt can easily shut it down, as you cannot baton pass your stats to another pokemon now and forced to attack. Sheep
Smogon bans baton passing more than one stat anyway (the exception being ancient power boosts) so I don't think it can do anything like that outside of VGC. If it wants to sweep it's gonna have to do it itself.

I feel like it's better to run a special set personally, though, because its special pool is enormous compared to its physical pool, which only have normal type moves, and bite, which is its only other physical move to use. Sub is probably going to be useful, and wish for recovery.

Sub is probably going to be useful, and wish for recovery. So basically all it needs is a Pursuit trapper for Ghosts and it's set. We will have to see how the Z-moves are treated in general and discuss later about what happens to a random Eevee. Ironically, the really sad part is the lack of new eeveelutions than the z-move itself.
Chase
The biggest problem for Eevee would be Steel types defensively - not Ghosts. Eevee has access to Bite - and that should be on any Eevee set with the intention of doing anything. Unless it gets something like Superpower or something too - then Eevee really just needs to Evoboost at the right time and it may get a lot of opportunities. In higher tiers though - it may be forced to run Sash in order to do anything. Eevee may get the LC ban - but I don't think it makes it out of RU best case scenario. Chase
That's true too. I don't know. On the one hand, getting sharp boosts in everything is incredible - but it may only get to do so against opponents it outspeeds or against ghost types locked into a Ghost type move. Maybe it DOESN'T break out of Little Cup.
NickCrash
It most certainly will. Steel types will be forced to be dent, much like Cro-Snorlax used to do with the Body Slam spam. A check in Eevee's moveset revealed the possibility of a special set with Hyper Voice + Shadow Ball + Rest + Sleep Talk/HP of your choice. Shadow Ball also gets it past Steel types, unless it's a Bisharp, Lucario or Cobalion (and their respective Devolutions) so the set or team members could be adjusted. The lack of item is nothing compared to the insane boost it gets from its Z-move.
Imperial
Did you see that ?! http://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/en-us/pokemon-refresh/ It seems friendship will have more effect in battles, like increasing evasion or make the pokemon to survive a KO. That's nothing new, it was a thing in gen 6 with pokemon amie. Also it is not friendship but affection.

Global Mods Ice Cream Sand Witch Posted September 28, 2016 Global Mods Share Posted September 28, 2016 Apparently a new trailer was shown recently that showed a move called Dragon Hammer. Alolan Exeggutor used this move.

BIGJRA
We saw that move in the original trailer, didn't we? It smashed an Exeggute. Yeah we did, I suppose it was just a little bit of confirmation that it was in fact a new move instead of say, a new animation for Slam or something. Alolan forms are getting completely new level-up moves, right? I mean Exeggutor will get all of Exeggcutes psychic TMs/eggmoves/level up moves, but what about like, Sandslash? Bessi
that move we saw could be something between slam and wood hammer or even dragon rush(i am 100% sure that alolan exeggutor will learn)

Global Mods Ice Cream Sand Witch Posted October 3, 2016 Global Mods Share Posted October 3, 2016 Did we ever find out what that tweet with Zubat and Dragonite that said to stay tuned was about? Dragonite was in the photo feature (I forget what it's called) but I don't think we've seen anything about Zubat yet. Maybe it'll be shown tomorrow. Lucky98
I don't think it will have an alolan form. We've seen Team Skull use a regular Golbat in one of the trailers, if I remember correctly. Since they only seem to be giving gen 1 pokemon alolan forms, I don't think they will give only Crobat one since it's from gen two. That leaves three other possibilities that I can see: 1) The most likely is that it will also be able to be seen using the Pokemon Snap feature like Dragonite is.They were listed together after all 2) The Zubat line could get an exclusive Z move. If they did this, I would hope they give this to Crobat since Golbat without eviolite is pretty bad and zubat is just terrible to begin with. Maybe they will give one to Dragontie as well. That would be cool. 3) The last thing it could imply is that both Crobat and Dragonite will get Megas. Since the two are listed in entirely separate categories form new pokemon and alolan forms, they are not either of those. I really don't think this will be the case though. We don't know about any new megas being in Sun and Moon. So unless they decide to reveal some tomorrow or in the upcoming weeks, I'm starting to think we will not get any new ones. It is pretty much confirmed old megas will still be a thing, so maybe Game Freak is keeping new ones a secret or something. You never know
