Global Mods Ice Cream Sand Witch Posted July 13, 2016 Global Mods Share Posted July 13, 2016 First one is Geara The second one I assume is the Ground leader (the fact that he's there and the first one in the folder who hasn't appeared yet is part of why I think he'll be the next leader) I have no idea for the third. He /kind of/ looks like this person from the characters folder (same head and hair), but the outfit doesn't completely match: Fourth is definitely Grass leader, who I think we'll face in V9

Shad_
Since you started with V7 i'd say beat Venam and then switch to V8

Valyrym
Damn Janiel, back at it again with the status thread~. This is going to be an interesting version because this update isn't a very long one (In fact it's one of the shorter ones.). Thus, I think it's a perfect time to do the last of the remodeled maps and be done with it. We can all move on and enjoy new content for the rest of the game's duration. Hooray!!! That being said, whether or not this takes as long as Version 7 will be up to how ambitious I become with these final map remodels, and you'll be happy to know that due to the positive feedback from Version 7, I went on a mapping rampage and already mapped almost every single area needed to be remodeled (With the exception of one area, but there were many many many maps). So thank you all for giving me the motivation to keep on making content for you all! Jan was filled with determination! Guzam
Honestly, Imma guess the grass leader is next. Js tbh fr tho, but it would be extremely odd to fight the grass leader any later in the game at this point imo, because of we fight her later, she'll be a cakewalk for sure. I'm guessing she will be this episodes leader, or the nexts. Just a hunch based on how effective certain types are.
Milotic
I think you underestimating grass types a bit, there are alot of good ones. If Jan really wanted to make the grass leader OP, he sure as hell could lol. And it seems like all gym leaders from here on will have megas. Mega Venusaur or Mega Sceptile would blow us back, and what if she has an Amoonguss, that shit aint dyin lol Edited July 14, 2016 by Milotic
IntSys
Mono-Grass faces a lot of troubles against Fire-types. There's only so many 'mons that can be used to tank SE Fire hits, such as Mega Venusaur and Cradily.
boneezus
I would imagine the grass leader would use a chlorophyll team that would more than likely be a big problem. Also excited to see if Angie returns sooner rather than later. Edited July 14, 2016 by boneezus

Not only do we have access to lots of fire types, but loads of flying types and lots of ice types too. There's no way this field can even make it as powerful as crawli either. "It weakens fire, ice, and flying" wouldn't even be enough to stop the decimation some mons would cause. Grass types either can't bulk a hit, or can't hit hard enough. I just see no way to the make the grass leader a threat in the late game.I would imagine the grass leader would use a chlorophyll team that would more than likely be a big problem. Also excited to see if Angie returns sooner rather than later. And this. Fire types would destroy the leader in this field, js. Even with the added speed, there'd be nearly 0 ways to OHKO any and all fire types. Not to mention the player also has access to grass/POISON types with chlorophyll as well. Chlorophyll works well on paper, but not in execution.
Sarun
Grass-types aren't that weak though. There are still several Grass-type mons such as Breloom, Ferrothorn, Whimsicott, and Serperior that can wreck face when played well. The issue here is that they generally require some finesse and strategy to work properly rather than raw power so they're sub-par when played by an AI. Imperial
Chlorophyll Liiligant with Growth and a field that double it's effect. Sleep Powder first turn, then 2 Growths and even a Charizard could hardly resist a Petal Dance (already verified that while training a Lilligant in Reborn's Grand Hall). Mega-Venusaur isn't weak to fire and can learn Earthquake. You can also set up rain with Ludicolo. A well placed Serperior. Even a Rotom-M for birds. There are plenty of possibilities, especially if you have a good field.

All types have their disadvantages, but like I said before, if Jan truly wanted to make this leader OP, it is definitely possible. Also since when has having pokemon with adventageous typing always meant cakewalk? And the field effect possibilities are endless lol, Im sure Jan has taken all the disadvantages of a grass type into account. but I guess we'll see
