Tempest, the place where mortals can become gods. It is an unfriendly place, full of trial and tribulation. The seven planes of the wind are inhabited by men all struggling to reach godhood. This feat has been achieved by nine so far, and seven these nine now preside over Tempest as its rulers. It is said that a new god cannot arise until one of the current gods steps down or is killed, as a god must have a plane to rule and there are only seven. However, be it by glitch or miracle, a man has proclaimed himself the tenth god. the other gods, angry with his proclamations, tried to assassinate him. However, he showcased his godly powers--abilities which prevent any god from being killed outside the Rules of Immortality which state that all attacks on a god must be "absolute." In other words, fighting him in any way other than a fair one on one challenge will result in death. Unwilling to risk themselves against him but slowly losing followers, the gods had to come up with a plan. So they put out a challenge to the entire realm, a contest to determine the strongest. Whoever won would be sent to fight the tenth god and, should they win, granted godhood over their choice of plane. The contest would begin with individual challenges. For thirty days after the announcement, participants were to challenge whoever they could find and rack up as much Favor as they could manage. The top 8 would then by invited to a tournament across the land to fight for who was the greatest warrior

This RP will be about those 8 people

Setting:

Unsurprisingly I'm sure, the planes are each based on one of the Seven Deadly Sins. The following list has them in order of lowest ranked to highest ranked as of the beginning of the RP. The percentages represent how many Tempest residents follow the presiding god

Plane of Sloth 1%, Ruled by the Sixth God

Currency:

There are two types of currency in Tempest: Favor and Dirks. Dirks are small, manmade coins that come in several values and are used to trade for items and services. Favor is a purely electronic currency that can only be earned via mech combat. They are spent when modifying mechs. Since the players are the top 8 mech fighters, neither of these matter too much, but you should still know

Phases:

This RP will run in three phases, which I may cut off should they begin to take too long. The main one is the Combat phase. This is when fights occur and things take forever. Since it's the most important, I'll give you the most time here. Next up is the Travel phase. During this phase you'll be able to interact with the others as well as make modifications to your mech. Finally, the Audience phase, during which you will be granted a short audience with a Plane's god. The phases will loop Audience>Combat>Travel

Everything is Combat:

Keep in mind that everything about this RP is about the tournament. Even social interactions are in fact social warfare. Thus, this RP is going to have a bit of disruption to the immersion in favor of mechanics

Mechs:

Each character will posses a suit of battle armor, usually a humanoid not much larger than they are, unique to them (think like IS or Accel World) which is usually referred to simply as a mech. No mech is ever at a truly unwinnable disadvantage to another mech, however there is a system in place for helping determine the basics of a mech's strengths and weaknesses. The following are the ratings you will be asked to provide. There will be a bit more info on this in the character creation section. But for now just know that the standard "meta" is to have high firepower and high armor with a defensive special ability

Speed: Pretty easy to comprehend, gives an idea of how fast you can move. Keep in mind that this is about mobility, not reflexes every mech is even when it comes to the speed of their joints

Melee: A mech's affinity for close ranged fighting. Takes into account strength and weaponry combined, so keep in mind that a high melee mech may still be physically weak or that an unarmed mech may still be able to overpower you in melee combat. Also keep in mind that melee weapons basically just means "not guns." Weapons that are thrown or have a long reach such as knives or flails still qualify as melee

Firepower: How much a mech can shoot. Lasers, projectile weapons, and explosives all go under this category

Armor: How much of a beating a mech can take. Most mechs have all-purpose armor, but there are specialty armors which can be used to keep this rating deceptively low for certain opponents (EX: anti-projectile armor that is useless against anything else is a low rating, but a projectile only user will be in trouble) There are also forcefields for dealing with energy-based attacks such as lasers and explosives

Special Ability: An ability more or less unique to each mech (there's multiple people who can fly and stuff like that, but generally Tempest's residents go for more unique abilities, especially in the Plane of Pride) This ability can be used to cancel a weakness, play to your strengths, etc. A mech comes built in with an ability when a person activates it that is meant to fit that person, but the ability isn't hard to change with enough Favor.

Signature Attack: Much like the above, but specifically an attack. A lot of people use this as a large finishing ability, but it can more or less be anything. The only catch is that it must have specific conditions under which it can be activated, thus the common condition of, "I'm going in to finish them off."

Rules:

  1. Keep calm. I know you don't want to lose, but you're going to lose. If all else fails I can flip a coin to decide a winner, or you could try to work things out calmly
  2. No metagaming. This one is pretty big since metagaming is actually sort of in the rules. Keep in mind that, unless someone tells them, your character will only know the ratings of the other player's mechs, not their exact abilities. So even if you know that their "melee" is actually shuriken, don't have your character go in expecting attacks from afar
  3. Try to keep Suism to a minimum. Instead of the default "no Sues" I'm going to keep in mind that Suism is a fluid concept and that there's no line where things go from "not-Sue" to "Sue." So instead, just try to keep yoursuelf in check. I'll certainly let you know if you go overboard
  4. No godmodding, powerplaying, and etc. The other generic RP taboos. Just because I'm not going out of my way to explain them doesn't mean you should do them
  5. MURDER I mean, um, have fun and stuff

Character Sheet:

Forum Name: [Yes, this is necessary]

Character Name: [Aliases only are allowed in the case of a concealed identity]

Alias: [Your character's professional name, usually related to their mech's appearance]

Age: [should be no less than 14 and no more than 30]

Gender: [Gender, that thing where you generate derp]

Sin: [Which of the seven sins your character is most guilty of, limit two of anything because otherwise we'll have to much of everything]

Appearance: [What your character looks like]

Mech Appearance: [What they look like in their mech]

Personality: [Doesn't need to be extensive, but do use complete sentences]

Motivation: [Why your character joined the tournament]

Mechs Stats: [You have seventeen points to distribute across these stats, we've been over them so I won't explain them again. These can be modified slightly over the course of the RP. Put points into each and then explain what the mech has to fit these ratings]

  • Speed: [six point bonus: Teleport once per fight]
  • Melee: [six point bonus: Instantly disengage from the enemy once per fight]
  • Firepower: [six point bonus: Auto-land a hit once per fight, overrides character dodges but doesn't prevent blocking such as with Armor's six bonus]
  • Armor: [six point bonus: Become completely invulnerable to any and all attacks once per fight]
  • Signature Attack: [Note, costs two points and may not be removed once added, although it may be altered]
  • Special Ability: [Although not hard to change, you will likely not be granted to opportunity to do so]

Character Stats: [surprise! Your character has stats too, well, more like abilities really. These are inherent and cannot be changed. You only have three points for these. When using limited-use abilities, please use brackets to note that you've done so]

  • Observance: [How much your character notices things. One point allows your character to learn another character's age and gender, even if they are behind a mask or other disguise. Two points lets your character to learn the conditions for an enemy's signature attack after they've used it once. And three points allows you to learn what sort of weapons your next opponent will use during the Travel phase]
  • Reflex: [How quickly your character reacts. One point lets your character almost instantly switch between weapons if they have multiples. Two points allows your character to avoid any non-signature hit in a fight no matter how unlikely, once per fight of course. Three points allows the two point effect to occur a second time
  • Social: [Your character's social skills. One point allows verbal warfare during combat, letting your character attempt to psyche the other out. Two points allows you to dodge any and all questions asked of you, letting you keep your secrets--albeit seeming a tad suspicious in doing so. Three points lets them discern another character's Sin after a single conversation]

Other: Anything else to share?

And that should be everything, feel free to ask questions because I'm sure I forgot something

Forum Name: Adamance Ascendant

Character Name: Yukimura Hiroki

Alias: The Hellfire Knight

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Sin: Wrath

Appearance: A girl with fairly light skin and a rather small frame, even for her age, standing at about 4'8" or 142 cm. She has the unusual combination of somewhat large violet eyes and fine, hip-length silver hair. She's about as well-muscled as you'd expect the average fifteen year old teenage girl to be. Overall, her face lends itself to an impression of looking rather refined and aristocratic. She generally wears a dark-colored skirt with a lighter, long-sleeved top, both with violet accents to complement her eyes. She will occasionally pair this with leggings, and if she's feeling particularly adventurous (which is rare) she'll get a shorter skirt to achieve grade B zettai ryouiki.

Of course, this is when she's not trying to hide her identity. She will wear platform shoes and a drab cloak that covers most of her body, and avoid speaking if at all possible. She wears a device on the left side of her face, running from her throat to her chin. Just below her chin is a speaker; the device picks up vibrations from her throat and acts as a voice changer, turning her small whispers (so no one hears her real voice) into a clearly artificial voice of some kind, which she changes on occasion.

Mech Appearance: Hiroki's mech is quite bulky, making her appear larger than she really is upon initially sighting her piloting it. Its most striking features are the large cannon mounted at about the elbow of the right arm, and the "wings" that are actually an array of thrusters and guns. The cannon is orange and has a hexagonal shape, extending almost down to the feet in a neutral position, with the distinctive yellow and black "caution" pattern in a stripe at the end of it. There's a squarish panel on the back underneath which many of the important systems are housed, though this is of course covered by the heaviest armor. The plating overall is a dark gray, with faulds protecting the waist area. The chest and legs are divided into four plates each. The outer and inner edges of each plate on the chest have blue stripes along them, and similar stripes are found along each joint of the mech. An orange glow can be seen leaking from underneath the plating. The mech also features a somewhat angular helmet covering her whole face, the visor leaving just her eyes and nose visible. The visor darkens in response to intense light. Finally, it also has two shoulder-mounted cannons that can be set to automatic fire or slaved to the main gun.

Personality: Contrary to her elegant appearance, Hiroki is rather jittery and easy to upset, and doesn't appear to handle stress particularly well. However, she's also stubborn (though easily frustrated, this will rarely cause her to actually give up on something) in the extreme, doubly so if it involves winning an argument or otherwise proving herself correct. She's also in possession of a rather fragile ego. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, she's determined to prove that she's at least equal to everyone else, if not better.

Motivation: See above. Hiroki's stubbornness and determination led her to striving for greater and greater heights in this tournament, and this is one of the few things she considers herself competent at.

Mechs Stats:

  • Speed: 2. It actually hovers off the ground slightly for most of the fight, but it's really, really, really slow. More accurately, it has very poor acceleration and therefore maneuverability, though its top speed is actually quite high in comparison and floating makes it possible to strafe - though how useful this will be is questionable given the speed it will typically be moving at.
  • Melee: 4. The mech lacks any truly specialized melee weapons, but the powerful servos make the mech capable of delivering punishing melee blows. The cannon was also designed and built with being used to club opponents in mind as a secondary function. Being able to float off the ground also frees her legs up to make kicks much easier to deliver. The sheer mass of the plating also adds that much more force to the blows.
  • Firepower: 6. The mech's main cannon is incredibly powerful and the mech's powerplant is more than enough to match. Alongside this, it has auxiliary cannons mounted on the backs of the legs, and the "wings" are mostly an array of more guns and thrusters for control. Overall it's capable of firing an absurd number of low-powered bursts or concentrated, powerful beams. Some of the wing-mounted guns are slaved to the main gun, aiming and firing together with it. The leg guns essentially respond when Hiroki kicks. The main cannon can fire beams, bursts, or exploding packets of plasma, as well as creating a short ranged "plasma cutter" for melee.
  • Armor: 5. Heavy plating and strong joints allow the thing to physically take quite the beating, and the majority of the wing-mounted cannons are controlled by an internal targeting system for the purpose of point defense - attempting to shoot down incoming projectiles. The plating is also designed with energy dispersal in mind, able to take a number of energy-based attacks before failing.
  • Signature Attack: None. Hiroki's strategy doesn't rely on a single finishing blow; rather she simply batters down her opponents with a withering barrage of superheated plasma.
  • Special Ability: Hellfire Mantle. The mech can direct its power into a superhot field of plasma surrounding itself, and this field can be discharged in a chosen direction allowing for a burst of acceleration or as the opener to a barrage. It takes a moment or two to form, however, disables the usage of all of the guns, and can't be maintained for too long due to the fact that it overloads the mech's cooling systems.
  • Character Stats:
  • Observance: 1. Though initial conversations with her might not reveal this, Hiroki is fairly intelligent.
  • Reflex: 2. She gets hit, a lot. She tries very hard to not allow this to happen and has gotten much better at it.
  • Social: 0. Any attempt at trying to wage psychological warfare would probably just end up with her flustering herself.

Other: She's also a pretty good singer. (She's an alto.)

I'm using anime rules on appearance, shh. Also not sure if the special ability costs points, or if the Speed stat should cost more or less.

When you say mech, do you mean 100 feet tall giant robots that look like they come straight out of the Power Rangers? Or do you mean a sort of "full body suit" that the characters wear, like an exo-skeleton of sorts?

Edit: Read over it again and I answered my own question, so ignore~

The ability does not cost points. The speed is fine as-is.

Oh, also, I forgot to mention. These are going to function much like Infinite Stratos where the mech simply materializes around the pilot when they summon it

Just gonna slap up this reserve post here real quick while I work on getting a sheet together.

Forum Name: Stratos
Character Name: Solomon "Sully" Ryke
Alias: The Revenant
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Sin: Pride
Appearance: A dark-skinned male standing at a rough 5'9", bearing a well toned and powerful physique. His hair is darker than the night itself, bound in dreadlocks cascading down around his shoulders and upper back and framing a diamond shaped face with an upturned nose, almond-shaped amber eyes so vibrantly deep they nigh appear the shade of dying embers, and a tightly trimmed goatee. His outfit of choice is a black muscle shirt displaying his thoroughly sculpted arms and the myriad of black tribal tattoos scrawling their way down their length, along with charcoal grey trousers bloused into similarly dark boots at the upper calves. The pair of sleek, silver and neon orange safety glasses resting on his head is aren't an uncommon sight, nor is the charcoal gray jacket tied around his waist

Mech Appearance: The Mech is slim and sleek in build, it's armored-form darker than the night itself, accented in the deepest of crimson linework flowing down it's limbs with swirled patterns arcing across it's chest and back. It bears elongated projections on either shoulder, serving as built in pauldrons as well as concealed storage docks, while it's chest armor serves as the centerpiece of the body, bearing a similar elongated form. It's Triangular Helm has a singular, diagonal projection arching forwards from it's center, with a visor burning with the same sinister crimson light as it's intricate accenting work.
Numerous small, spherical devices, "Tesla Spheres" as Solomon calls them, lie visibly docked into depressions in it's limbs and body, and exert a constant, electromagnetic field which both powers the mech's needs as well as enhances it's combat abilities, while a large, metallic sheath lies fixed diagonally across it's back, often bearing Solomon's main arm and weapon of choice, the Katana called Ragnarok, though at it's hips there are two smaller sheaths, housing a set of twin plasma sabers. It's sleek arms end in just as sleek fingers the color of fresh blood, Hidden in the palms of the mech's hands are a pair of laser cutter aparati.

Personality: ISTP. A friendly yet highly brash fellow, never one to back down from a decent challenge. He's not afraid to admit fair and square when he's been bested however (or, for that matter, to boast and brag about things if the outcome is the otherway around), nor is he afraid to voice his mind without filter, calling shit exactly as he sees it with little concern over whether or not it's exactly "Tactful" to do so at that moment. Having dealt with more than just a few bullies as a boy, he sees the act of actively trash talking or using verbal warfare against an opponent as a cowardly tactic that only signifies the true extent of the hidden weaknesses and insecurities one hides in one's own heart. The only thing worse to him than trash talking is the use of cheating in order to win a challenge.

As loud as he often is, the only thing that speaks even louder than his words are his actions, and he won't hesitate to back up the former with the latter if needed...

Motivation: A bet he made with his girlfriend (and on-again/off-again rival of sorts) Sasha over a few drinks one late evening at the shop. An advertisement for the tourney played over the airwaves, and after a bit of his typical bragging about how totally sure he was that he could conquer the other competitors with his eyes closed, to which Sasha countered she'd kick his ass long before he ever got that far. Never one to back down from the lady's challenges, he didn't hesitate to accept. The terms were very simple, by the end of the first thirty days of individual conflicts, whoever had the most Favor between the two of them would be the winner.

Except they weren't that simple. By the last day of the challenge period, both Solomon and Sasha were evenly tied for the exact same amount. There was only one way to settle it... her guns versus his blades. the victor would go on to the inner circle, the loser would have to swallow their damn pride and stay home.

Sasha... didn't talk very much to him that night as she helped him pack. He was nice enough not to brag like an ass for once.

Even with the only victory he really cared about under his belt now though, the mechanic didn't see any reason to just take it all the way home, see it all through to the end since he'd already gotten so far, plus he always was one to appreciate a good challenge. If he won the whole thing, then great, if he lost... well, at least he'd go out of the competition with a bang.

Mechs Stats:

  • Speed: 6 [The mech was built with speed and maneuverability at the forefront of Solomon's mind, and as such special attention is given to fine tuning the efficiency and power of it's legs, while measures have been taken to reduce the overall weight of the unit. The fact that the electromagnetic fields created by the Tesla Spheres embedded in the mech can be manipulated in battle to further augment their already impressive performance by amplifying any motion Solomon makes only makes the mech that much more of a speed demon.]
  • Melee: 7 [Melee is the unit's strongest claim to fame, affirmed by the high-powered, modified servos granting it mammoth levels of strength, twin plasma sabers lying dormant at it's hip, and the Twin Laser Cutter Aparati concealed in the palms, all of which commonly used to tear, slash, and slice away the opponent's defenses in a frenzied, merciless onslaught of flashing energy. The pride and joy of the unit though, is none other than Ragnarok; the large, circular blade reminiscent of a chakram, bearing three diagonal projections along it's edge and as crimson as blood rain. Outfitted with a high frequency cutting blade, it is far sharper than it's mere appearance might suggest, capable of easily being swung with surprising speed using the momentum of solomon's limbs and using electromagnetic manipulation to greatly augment the force and speed of his movements, as well as even spin the weapon in place like a saw blade or throw it like a high speed projectile whose trajectory can be freely controlled by the Tesla Pulse.]
  • Firepower: 2 [The unit has no true designated ranged weapon, however the Tesla Sphere devices can be used to generate high-power electrical blasts; while such blasts may scorch or mar the surface of armor plating, they are far more likely (and actually intended) to damage and temporarily disrupt the internal wiring and systems of the impacted zone rather than actually managing to penetrate and destroy the opponent's armor. The Laser Aparati in the palms on the other hand, can be used as sweeping, ranged beams if needed, and pack an incredible amount of actual destructive force behind them compared to the electric bursts.]
  • Armor: 2 [solomon's mech employs a specially built dampening field which heavily buffers energy-based damage, sitting over the top of the mech's exterior like a sleek skin of defense. The weight of the generator of this field however, comes at the cost of having to sacrifice quite a bit of physical plating in order to maintain the ratio of speed to mass. As a result, his remaining armor can do little against kinetic attacks, forcing him to largely rely on the Tesla Pulse in order to mitigate this weakness, and even then only being effective at warding off Metallic attacks and projectiles]
  • Special Ability: Tesla Pulse. By manipulating the electromagnetic fields emitted by the Tesla Spheres, Solomon can concentrate their energy to form small scale EMPs as well as powerful repulsion and attraction fields. the EMPs can be fired towards opponent units to temporarily disrupt and damage their electrical systems and interfering with processes such as targeting, visual input, audio feed, movement, etc. to create an opening for him to close in; however, while they are more effective at disrupting systems for longer than the mech's raw electrical blasts, EMPs come at the cost of requiring a significantly higher amount of power to be drawn and diverted from the mech, and overusing them will easily result in Solomon's own mech unit becoming virtually dead in the water for a time as the spheres work to build up a sufficient enough power supply needed to operate it again. The Repulsion and Attraction Fields meanwhile, require very minikin energy to maintain, and can be used for a variety of purposes, from repelling metallic projectiles and even melee attacks by repulsing them, amplifying solomon's motions and strikes by actively propelling his mech's limbs in a desired direction using a repulsing field, to forcing back opponents that draw too close or drawing them in even closer for Solomon to Attack, as well as propelling his own unit in a given direction at incredibly high speed.

Character Stats:

  • Observance: 1. Solomon's an incredibly intelligent bloke, that much easily becomes obvious the moment one sees him working on a mech or other piece of machinery, and while he's not about to go out of his way to try to dig up info or lean every little detail about someone like some obsessive stalker (feeling that doing so takes away from the suspense and rush of a fight... plus it's "kinda fucking creepy", as he likes to put it), he is at least observant enough to spot subtle details such as the way one carries themselves, physical stature, body language, etc. when he encounters someone.
  • Reflex: 2. The training with his old man when he was a kid did wonders teaching him the fact that if your reflexes are shit, you're gonna get hit; how can you expect to beat a damn bully if you can't even block or feint out of the way fast enough? Those same training sessions proved more valuable than even gold when he finally became old enough to move up from fist-fights in the school yards and streets, to actual mech-combat.
  • Social: 0. Talk is cheap. That's honestly all Solomon has to say to those who enjoy verbal warfare. "Talk shit, get hit" has always been among his favorite mottos.

Other: He's a mechanic, studied under his father and has been working on mechs among other devices and machinery for nearly his entire life. When the man died a few years ago, Solomon was left to run the garage himself. He knows the technology better than the back of his own hand.

He's also well versed in the art of how to put away one's liquor...

I'll reserve a spot, I suppose.

Better to waste time on something than nothing, and it's about time I got to join an original story, and not one that's based off of some franchise ~

alright, I've finished my sheet. I've done what I can, so... yeah.

The personality will probably change a bit though, as I fine tune things and figure it out a bit better, but for the time being what's already present should be more than sufficient enough to give an basic idea of what I'm going for here

If that's a legit denial and that's the only reason why, I can easily just change the alias to something else, I've got a list of like five or ten potential ones lined up already. I just felt Jack the ripper was the most appropriate given how he goes about the act of combat...

No, I was joking. As I said, I haven't read the sheet yet so I can't comment on it seriously

However, I was thinking about it and I should probably mention that there was no real Jack the Ripper in Tempest. So if it's intended to hearken back to the famous serial killer to instill fear or anything like that, it won't work

you where also wrong Lexi Jake the Ripper only appears as a Loli when summoned under the Assassin class. :P

and just from looking through all this there really isn't a reason to put points into the other stats for the pilot other then reflex since they don't really effect the battles at all. or at least as far as i can tell they wouldn't effect the battle as drastically as reflex does.

It was more of an absolutely shameless MGS: Revengence reference than anything else. Solomon honestly gives no damns if his professional name scares people or not.

Anyway, I've changed it to one of the alternatives on my list. Still fits just as aptly in its own way

And then you realize that Reflex is bad because #FADMeta

Reflex is only useful if you have low Armor and/or Firepower. The ability to know an opponent's worst sin (and use it against them because social ability 1) or how they're going to try to fight you (keep in mind that everyone is fighting their battles at once, so no watching and learning their strategies) is a lot more powerful than ducking a powerful attack unless that attack is going to one-shot you. On top of that, things with low F and A will often have one of the point bonuses from speed or melee, which can be used effectively for dodging and perform a secondary task at the same time

Think of this like a Touhou game. Would you rather play the main character who has to dodge meticulously, or the enemy who can just destroy the entire screen and take a butt-ton of hits. Then assume you're the latter, what use is dodging over shooting more bullets or tanking more hits?

Appearance: A lightly tan skinned girl with a slim and somewhat athletic build while standing with a fair size of 5'8, Morgan has shoulder length jet black hair along with a pair of yellow eyes and a set of round glasses to accommodate for her poor eyesight. Her outfit usually consists of a simple red shirt with a tan jacket covering it, a pair of jeans, and a pair of red sneakers. However, this may slightly change to fit in with the crowd better.

Mech Appearance: While Morgan's mech is pretty bulky, it's not really meant for strength enhancing purposes. A lot of the bulk comes from the numerous built in jet boosters and weapon holsters. The rest is for the armor. Strider has a large generator on it's back that draws in a lot of excess energy that is accumulated, which can be used to distribute said energy throughout the rest of the mech, or it can all be put into the large cannon on the back of it's right shoulder, which, when extended, is actually drawn and aimed over the right shoulder. The color scheme is mainly red with thick blue lines running down the sides and various blue patches on various joints throughout the body. The helmet shape looks like an upside down U and has another blue line running down the middle and sides. The mech's visor consists of two circular, glowing blue eyes that seem to just stare right into your very core.

Personality: Morgan is, for the most part, both a kind and shy girl. She'll try her best to help others in almost any way, shape, or form. But at the same time, you'll usually be the one trying to start up any sort of conversation. That being said, you'll have to ask her for her help nine times out of ten. Despite Morgan's kindness, she gets pretty competitive out of both jealousy and the fact that she wants to become better at whatever it is that makes her want to compete in the first place. Not to mention that she hates to lose. She also has quite the short temper when it comes to inflated egos and showoffs.

Motivation: Morgan's abundance of envy was the very reason that she signed up. Not because she wants to be better than the rest, but because she wants to get rid of all of that jealousy and anger that's followed her throughout her life. She doesn't even really care about this promise of godhood and ruling over the planes and whatnot. She's really just doing this because she feels as if once all of this is over, she'll finally be able to let go of the burdens of negativity that she's been carrying all of these years. Her Goal is to climb as high up as she possibly can and be happy with where she is in life. If she wins it all, then she knows that she'll be able to leave it all behind. If she loses, then hopefully she'll be able to accept her fate and find some other way to rid herself of the envy that's been haunting her.

Mechs Stats:

  • Speed: 5. Strider has various jets built in throughout it's body that allow for speed, strafing, and some aerial movement, allowing for quite a bit of flexibility in combat.
  • Melee: 1. This mech doesn't have much for melee combat. Strider just has a pair of spiked gauntlets that allow for it to attempt to repel the attacker long enough to get away.
  • Firepower: 6. Strider's equipped with numerous weapons. The mech has two heavy machine guns built into the arms that are mainly used at short to midrange and when strafing is required, a shotgun with cryogenic rounds for when Miss Belle really needs to get up close, and a railgun for mid to long range combat.
  • Armor: 3. Strider's armor is made up of a durable, yet lighter metallic alloy so the weight of the armor doesn't cut back on speed and maneuverability as much as it should. While the armor does provide a solid defense, there are definitely others that can do it's job better.
  • Signature Attack: Revenge Blast. Using the cannon that's directly hooked up to the generator on Strider's back, it will use all of that excess power to fire a powerful laser that deals double the damage that it took while it's EAS was activated. The conditions for this attack are "take damage while Special Ability is active."
  • Special Ability: Energy Absorption Shield (EAS). Strider boosts its armor significantly at the cost of some firepower and speed... usually more on the latter than the former. But at the same time, it also gains energy from any damage that's inflicted to it, which can be used to temporarily boost the mech's current parameters as it's pilot sees fit, or initiate Revenge Blast. The energy that is gained with this doesn't have to be used right away, but it will start depleting if it's held for too long.

Character Stats:

  • Observance: 2. Morgan's glasses have opened up a new perspective for her (literally... she would almost be blind without them), allowing her to keep a sharp eye on her opponent to watch for any suspicious moves and/or reactions to gain the advantage.
  • Reflex: 1. Ms. Belle has a bit of a sleight of hand when it comes to switching weapons, allowing her to have a bit more flexibility in combat.
  • Social: 0. Being as shy as she is, Morgan doesn't have very good social skills. Nor can she really keep a secret. She's practically an open book, to be honest.

Other: Morgan is very fond of many kinds of music. When you put together a good style of music with the right vocals, she'll practically go into a trance as she sits idly with her eyes closed, allowing her to better focus on the melody that plays before her.

... She also has a bit of a weakness to sweets surrounding the strawberry-flavored variety.

AAaaaannndd... done... I think. Hopefully, that's everything. Let me know of I have to change anything and all that other signup jazz than I can't think of... unless that was actually it. I might change a few things here and there, but this is it for the most part. Until then, it's back to the Excera drawing board for me.

T-that's really similiar to what I was gonna do! Alas, first come, first serve, it is my fault alone! *scrapes his mental blackboard clean and grabs the chalk again*

Oh well, gonna have to go with sloth then, or greed? I suppose ~ Thanks for helping me choose

Just FYI in case anyone didn't catch on, I've only been giving slots to people who've posted sheets (at least WIP sheets) Since I want to see that people have put in at least a little work before giving them a spot that someone else could have used

I'll look over sheets tomorrow morning, this evening is for bingeing

Well, my sheet is completed as much as necessary, but I might or might not make some tweaks based on the feedback I receive.
