Shamitako
Oi, yo. So, hopefully most of y'all have noticed the Pride of Sheep by now. And, like, even if you're not joining I recommend you keep an eye on it since I intend to throw in a good bit of backstory about the Plane of Pride and a couple of the gods
Code: PIRULUK
K_H, big problem. Your attack is scientifically unsound. It's not possible to retract your cables to the point where they're "taut" because Kagarin is currently in motion, and will constantly be in motion until her movement is stopped. The distance between her and Ricochet is constantly shrinking, and therefore the cables are constantly becoming slack. Even if you say that the speed at which you are reeling is faster than that of her approach, you'll add more forward momentum, which means you need even more force to kill the charge, and the moment you stop reeling the cables to turn, the cables will be slack again. Even if you continue reeling them in even as you turn, the reeling action combined with the jerking movement will generate forward momentum, meaning her direction wouldn't change. If you try to retract your cables, the most you'd be able to do is pull her into a collision with you. Adding on to this, if the cable isn't taut, it's not possible to exert enough force to kill her forward momentum and generate sideways momentum, so your attack is physically impossible to execute. IntSys
Hahaha~ You chose to retreat safely, so you'll have to deal with the consequences~ The next time Tai engages Mommo, it'll be a swift and almost guaranteed KO if you don't make up a plan fast! Sutoratosu
Well, you know what they say after all: Come with a plan, or leave in defeat... And I for one always come with a plan...even when it seems I don't have one.
Bfroger6
Wha-wha, is that a threat? D: I'll have you know my Firepower's still a 6! And that 6 is the best number ever! But alas, I was doomed from the start of the fight. Now I've better listen to Aries and develop fast so I can have Mommo think straight (gah!) for a change. Shamitako
Oh, IntSys, I just noticed something. You don't really need to change it since it's so old, but you do need to be aware for the future approaching at five times the speed of sound There's no way you can do this. Aside from some lack of acceleration that I'd be fine with handwaving, it also jsut doesn't fit the mechanics. Now, I didn't explain it previously so you wouldn't have known, but Blink has 15 speed and she maxes at just over mach

Sutoratosu
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCebJodm0lY&index=1&list=PL6RfbQhFwG2ZzwieDEM5al5RFv_xV7x89 Behold, TTG god themes So, was a little bored and thought I'd compile these real quick (and pick out the ones I hadn't yet). They tend to give subtle hints to the god's personalities and/or battle styles. So let's play a guessing game! Try to figure out which song applies to which number god. If anyone gets it right, then their character will get a special bonus interaction next travel phase (otherwise I'll just pick who gets the bonus randomly, but games are much more fun desuwa) Well, seeing as how no one really made much of a shot at actually taking this challenge... well, given we only have knowledge of the ids of around half the gods or so at this time (being Lord, Sleeping Bear, Swagillicious, Ares, and Blink...), I'm afraid for some of the themes I don't really think fit those who have debuted so far. Regardless though, here are my best guesses, and the reasoning why... Swagillicious: I mean, come on, I might as well start with the easiest, right? The electro theme and pop vibes give off heavy feels of the dance floor in a club where the liquor is flowing like water and the party is poppin'. And Justin Beiber I mean, Party Lord Swagillicious definitely feels like a solid match for it right from the moment that bass drops and the real tune starts. legit serious, I'm 95% certain on this one. Lord: This has a very grandiose and triumphant feel to it, lending an atmosphere that bespeaks of being worthy of only the highest of world champions... I mean, this is like the shit you would hear when you're just 150lbs from podunk nowhere Mighty Mac trying to go up against the one, the only, Mike-Mother-Fucking-Tyson. And given that lord has never lost a fight before, at least according to what Black Idol mentioned of how she became a god... it would be very fighting that her theme suggests an uphill fight way out of your league Though, hers is a bit tougher though, given there's another theme I feel embodies many of the same aspects as well Not only is the title a heavy nod towards a being who has surpassed the odds every single time and became the first and highest of her race, essentially holding a place equivalent to the ruler of the gods in many mythologies, but it also has an even grander atmosphere than the one above. At the end of the day, I'd have to give either one a 50/50 chance of being right Ares My reasoning for Ares selection is rather simple, yet kinda deep. Dance of Thorns incorporates both classical and rock/semi-metallic elements, as if it is intended to juxtapose the romanticized version of war many of the days of old held and the stark, brutal realities of the affair, and given the guy's alias is literally the name of an ancient god of war from old earth... not only that, but Combat, something I think likely for a god of wrath to have a pretty decent level of respect for, is often described romantically as a deadly dance of skill and grace between it's occupants. Add in the fact that Ares is clearly mentioned as being far more level headed than his subjects, even capable of resolving disputes between a bunch of aggressive and defensive people before things get out of hand and unrest begins... and well, did I mention the classical elements mixed with the rock? Good, that's important. another 95% certain from me Bear Call me a crazy fox for this, but... Now, let me explain. This right here... the title, the rhythm, the impending sense of dread, the godly proportions of the encounter lying before you... this, is Sleeping Bears theme. Just think about it ya'll... he's probably the laziest bloke around, yeah, but he's also likely the smartest. His observance is 3, he catches basically even the smallest detail like it's nothing, he is a master of the ancient art of Battle Meditation, and just look at his ability, fucking glorious. You see, Bear does not sleep during matches because he's just lazy, persay... no, it's because, there is nothing the likes of you can do to pose a legit threat to him, so why should he even bother? He'll just sit there and soak up your hits with that beefy as hell armor rating, while his fleet of slave drones will pick you apart like Laser Firing, Machine Gunning vultures. I mean, god dayum, the firepower on that motherfucker! and then, just look at what happens if by some Pride given miracle, you actually evade the drones and manage to land a hit hard enough that it doesn't just bounce right off! He wakes up, and he turns into a legit bear, chasing you down and mauling you to death like a force of nature. There is no escaping the bear, there is no defeating the bear, not unless you can literally get on his level. The bear is life, the bear is love. Lastly, If I were being chased by a giant mechanical bear as this played...I would shit myself as sure as the sun rises. I'm sure this is the same terror cheeky foes felt when they thought they were clever, avoiding his swarm and attacking him directly, only to find out... they really shouldn't have fucking done that. Blink this one is the one I have the weakest evidence for, but... Well, it's rather simple why I chose it. Namely the correlation between the title and Lexi's description of Blink's reflexes being enough to control a "Whirling disk of insanity". Not only that, but it's rather fast paced, and cheeky too in a way.... kinda like everyone's favorite god of Envy, who absolutely gives no shits what comes out of her mouth, be it calling a guy 'Floppy Dick' or straight up burning a little girl so hard that she would need a damn rawst berry for it if this shit was pokemon. I mean damn, when she called Hiroki a little bitch like that, I think the polar ice caps of old earth would've melted from that heat wave. ((I still question how exactly she could know the exact stiffness/flaccidity of Adam's er... johnson, but, regardless, not important right now...)) and that's my five guesses based off what I've seen so far. Let me know how right, or terribly, terribly wrong, I am. I might try to take stab at the unknown gods later on too. EDIT: I have just been informed that I failed epically here... Eh, screw it though XD It was worth a shot, and it gave me the excuse to spend an hour or two just listening to some tunes.
Shamitako
So, looking at it now, asking for all is silly. I much prefer just a few. So if you get all of: Lord, Seeker, Swag, Bear, Aries, and Nil then you win Wait, scratch that. let's just say any five (including the freebie if you like, but brownie points for not using her) Also Ima go ahead and give you Blink because TBH you'd never get it Blink is 300 violins. That probably sounds odd, it's nowhere near as fast as she is. But lemme explain. Firstly I mean, this is like the shit you would hear when you're just 150lbs from podunk nowhere Mighty Mac trying to go up against the one, the only, Mike-Mother-Fucking-Tyson. Yes, exactly, except Blink is the Mighty Mac who's gonna overcome Mike Tyson. Sure she may lose to him once for every time there's a clap, but she'll beat him by the end of things. I picked this song because it's motivational and feels like it belongs to someone who never gives up. It's fitting for someone like Amelia, someone who has been told all her life that she can't. She refuses to give in, and sure she might "cheat" in some eyes, but to her, all that matters is that she succeeded in defeating the odds It also fits into her very rhythmic fighting style. It's not apparent to her opponents because she moves at such high speeds, but it is there. Try playing it at 2x speed (or better yet look up a nightcore and run that at 2x speed). That's what it's like to be against her Also, Blink happens to be a violinist Swag Your logic makes sense, but you missed out on one thing: Swag isn't actually Party Lord, he just fakes it His fighting is very bouncy and hit-and-run, with a focus on enjoying himself Lord So, your second guess is right. Although I suppose you did say fifty-fifty so it's less second and more just there, whatevs. You're most certainly right when you talk about it being a nod to becoming the highest of her race. Lord is on top and will always be there. The only time she's lost was because her opponent literally built themselves to counter her, and she turned around and beat that opponent the next day Aries So it's funny, because you made a mistake here that's actually right anyways. Aries is not a god of war, he's a ram. But I did that on purpose, because his name is supposed to hearken to Ares as well. The zodiac symbol is often related to Mars, the planet, which is named after the Roman god of war whose Greek equivalent is Ares, which sounds similar to Aries. But sadly, you are incorrect beyond that Aries is most certainly a god of war, he's a guy who fights to win above all else. But unfortunately for you, this is not his fight song Bear Well I gotta hand it to you, you nailed how Bear fights, but this theme is not his. His theme does look to embody some of these elements, but it's more peaceful, recognizing that Bear is completely calm and prepared. And when you do finally wake him, he launches forward in his full majesty and you have less than fifteen seconds to live

Shamitako
K_H, I don't think you know what disengage means. Because it means you disengage from melee range and get farther away from your opponent, not dodge a bunch of ranged attacks by jumping into melee range Also you did way too many things in that post. You can't dodge every attack and literally jump over your opponent without giving them a chance to react. You also can't sink down some forty feet (I don't have an exact measure, but it was described as being very deep, if anything that's a low estimate) and punch through a five(ish)-foot-diameter pillar of densely packed dirt and rock without giving your opponent a chance to stop you or change positions
Code: PIRULUK
There's also the fact that it would probably be impossible to output any significant amount of melee arm strength while underwater since water resistance is a thing. Certainly not enough strength to punch through an island's base. If you've ever tried to punch someone underwater, you'll know what I mean.
Shamitako
Yes, being underwater would weaken him, although it wouldn't be so significant as to maker the task impossible, just even slower than it already would be
K_H
Fine. I'll fix it. [EDIT]: I just remembered, but if you look at Code: PIRULUK's IC post involving the cables, you'll notice that she mentioned that LOLI_HUNTER got next to Ricochet. I thought that each pillar could only hold one full mech, as mentioned in the first Battle Post? Edited August 19, 2016 by K_H
Code: PIRULUK
I figured Kagarin landed within Ricochet's guard, so her legs are "in between" his feet. @Lexi tell me if you think that's unlikely, thanks.
