1989, Taylor Swift Theme Squads

Hi everyone! Before anybody starts asking... no, this is not a teambuilding workshop. It's a compilation of teams that I've made and tested this year. I started things off with a theme. You can't do something without a reason, right? When I started this, I knew I wanted to build around Taylor's 1989 album. I enjoyed the majority of her songs on that album, so I thought having sixteen different teams that were based around her album, would make the teambuilding much more enjoyable.
If anybody has any questions regarding my teambuilding process for a certain team, shoot me a PM or something, and I'll get back to it! Some of the teams may look strange at first, but I can assure you all that there's a reason for everything on each team. Also, feel free to also ask me questions regarding EV spreads and such as well!

Below is playstyles that each team should have a decent matchup against when played well. They're not supposed to counterteam or autowin against these particular playstyles or anything, but if you have trouble against a specific archetype, this would be useful to see what I use in my teams that allow me to check threats. ORAS metagame right now is too big to cover everything in one team.

These last two teams are my favorites. Couple of friends use them in smogon tour games, so friends can vouch for the viability of the teams in this ORAS meta.
Bonus teams at first glance:

This team originally had TGRD Manaphy, but Kamina and Void suggested that TG+3 Attacks was better, so I rolled with that.

I originally had special defensive Heatran, but I needed a faster spread so I don't lose to offensive fast sd scizor.

i personally really like your builds tbh, sometimes some of the sets used can be improved on a bit but that's a minor issue that's easily fixed. overall very nice and solid teams, keep it up

here's a nice replay of me using the first bonus team in some random tour. one of the more standard builds you have, but still really solid.

All of these teams are solid, I have used many of the teams broadcasted here in numerous tours on smogon and have won with them (just look at most of OU fruitdealer replays). I would like to congratulate you on your 1000th post and also that it is really nice to see you improve a lot as a teambuilder and have more confidence in your teambuilding from when I first met you.

Also, nice list of teams which do well vs certain playstyles. ORAS is heavily match up based competitively, and if you have the better match up you are more likely to win than your opponent.

so hoopa-u, with it's jesus like type coverage and high offensive stats, has been banned from OU. I have edited some of the teams that may or may not be influenced by Hoopa-U's departure, good or bad. will actually have to do some tests with the new changes to see if they're still viable, but the teams that I edited were...

Definitely going to use Out of the Woods, even though I don't really like most of the Pokemon on it, but because it's my fave song in 1989. x.x

Good teams as usual, Skitty. ^.^ Can't wait to take them out on a spin. c:

Personally, my favorite team is, "Welcome To New York". It's been one of my most successful teams that I've built out of the sixteen on this "album". Blank Space is also a notable favorite of mine as well!

EDIT: Kamina used "Out Of The Woods" in OST (Official Smogon Tournament). Fun Fact: Out Of The Woods was originally a counter-team against Kamina's opponent, based on the opposition's choices of builds.
