Developers enu Posted April 22, 2016 Developers Share Posted April 22, 2016 (edited) Hi, I'd like to breed some of my pokemon but I'm concerned that the Daycare couple might overwrite some important move with another on level up. I'm just at the beginning of the current playthrough so I don't have access to move relearner (and it probably would not help with pre-evolution moves anyway). So how can I predict what the daycare lunatics will do to my pokemon? Is it possible to control which move will be overwritten by changing their order? EDIT: Made a typo in the headline. :-( Can someone fix it please? Title edited! ~Ark Edited April 22, 2016 by Arkhi Title edited per user request. Ironbound
The moves are deleted top to bottom, if I remember aright. So keep your desired egg moves away from the first slot. In all honesty, deleting move spaces from the move relearner is the best bet. If you're paranoid, you can keep talking your Pokémon out every so often and check on their moves, and delete any that you don't want. Places like Bulbapedia will give you a good notion of when to expect a level-up move, so you can take your Mon out just before or after to delete the moves you dislike. Besides, in this generation, egg moves should be re-learnable at the heart scale person. As long as it was born with a move (say Close Combat Growlithe), even if it forgets it later, it can be taught the move again for a heart scale. Developers enu Posted April 22, 2016 Author Developers Share Posted April 22, 2016 Egg moves yes, but pre-evolution moves might be an issue - like Outrage for Arcanine. Besides as I've said I'm still far from the move relearner. Anyway good point about the move deleter. I'll probably go with that for now. Thank you! :-)
