Interested In Playing DND?

Recommended Posts

Yea as Pyon said Roll20 is a free pretty much open source program for playing Tabletops. It's got most stuff built in to use and if I was savvier I could add macros and shit to make it even easier to use ((think there's some macro sets for things in there that are predone but I'd have to look been a goooood while since I've messed with the whole thing lol.))

also yea, it has integrated Voice/Video... however it's pretty poor quality so I suggest Skype or Discord for voice purposes. ((hell, if we do it on the Discord enough might warrnet slapping together a room for it. I wouldn't get to hasty on that though.))

But yea... I suggest we use an external voice program of some sort, it tends to go muuuuch better XD.

Well, I'm somewhat late to this and it seems like alot more people than I expected have a genuine interest in the great passtime of Dungeons & Dragons, haha. I'd be fine with using any system to organize the group, preferrably with some combination of Voice Chat and/or Roll20. As for my availability, I'd only be able to be a part of short-ish games (1-3 months) or take part in the same game but with reasons such as "My character died and this is a new one!" or "I got separated or predisposed for some reason!" which would get ridiculous if done too often, haha. Oh, and my time zone is Pacific Daylight Time.

I look forward to seeing this get off the ground, and would be happy to offer any advice/shoot the breeze about any campaigns that are going on, assuming I'm not participating, haha!

Never played DnD irl (videogames yes) but watched many Roll20 shows on Youtube so i'm pretty familiar with it and would like to join but i live in Russia so time is going to be a problem, if there are not enough people count me in if not i'll just have to watch.

Considering I'm the only DM ((other than Pyon's proposal.)) it's mostly likely going to have to revolve around my schedule, though I'm noticing this seems to be garnering quite the attention of things so we could probably get an NA and an EU group running honestly... of course I'd need to do a more accurate head-count but... hmmm, who knows lol?

I do like that there is seemingly quite a bit of interest. Makes me happy to know some folks are lookin' to try the game out and give it a wack. I'm hoping we can iron out some details etc.

Alright well, I'll talk to my GM. I'll pm the European people (so that's Dobby, Breakfeast, Tomas, and Marcello?) with the details when I have guarantee of the EU game. If you are in the same timezone as me (so 0 GMT, same as London, Lisbon etc) just say so and join in on the game! If also you don't mind that timezone you can join even if you are Murican or whatever. You'll just have to conform to the EU timezone (still it shouldn't be too awful)

Hell, I might even as a player since I'd like to play in one... we'll see XD. I guess it depends on what time y'all in the EU game decide on if I can hop in there lol. ((I'd still love to give it a shot though lol.))

But, I'll be thinking of settin' up the NA centric piece as well. ((as word of warning... I prefer running groups of 4 or 5... so... I think I might as well say that for my DM'ing guidelines. So, I'll probably work on getting that out once I got the time and what not.

This seems fun. I've been in a member of a DnD group at my school for about two years so I have experience with this. Though I've never done it online x3

I'm from America however, -8/-7 kuz we don't have daylight savings time in my state >.>

Also, in terms of voice chat I only have a skype tho I wouldn't be opposed about getting discord

I've never played any sort of DND before but I wouldn't mind trying it. One thing I should say though that although I do have Skype, I usually have a fan right next to me that helps to keep me and my laptop cool while I use it (my laptop is absolute garbage so it's usually mandatory.) So if we were to do some sort of voice chat all everyone would hear the whole time is the annoying loud sound of a fan destroying your ear drums so I'd most likely prefer it that we don't use Skype and that kind stuff.

But if everyone absolutely wants to use Skype then I wouldn't mind trying to play without my fan and hope that my laptop is able to run long enough that it doesn't begin to burn itself out. (Of course, it ends up being impossible I would have to step out since I wouldn't be able to talk without the fan and that would probably ruin the experience for others.)
