Noivy
Hai Guys. Im here with another team. Mono Ice this time around! THE TEAM Obamasnow (Abomasnow) (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Snow Warning EVs: 168 HP / 56 Def / 208 SAtk / 76 SDef Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Blizzard - Leech Seed - Energy Ball - Focus Blast Proudly leading his comerads into battle wielding the power of Hail storms to support the team! He can drain thier HP while they slowly freeze into Cania's Realm. Dual STAB Options of Blizzard and Energy Ball for swift work on weakly armored foes. Lass (Froslass) (F) @ Focus Sash Trait: Snow Cloak EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Destiny Bond - Blizzard - Shadow Ball - Thunderbolt She's a cruel Mistress of Mayhem. She's fast, delivers crippling blows with powerful Special Attacks. And when she's about to go down, Bind the foes with Destiny Bond and take the foe with her! Cania (Kyurem) @ Leftovers Trait: Pressure EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Focus Blast - Hyper Voice - Dragon Pulse - Blizzard Ever so brooding in it's Icy Realm, Cania is a force to be reconned with. It has a whole force of powerful Special Moves that make even Steel Types back down. It is most at home if it recives a Baton Pass from Her. Mamoswine (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Snow Cloak EVs: 156 HP / 204 Atk / 148 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Icicle Crash - Rock Slide - Earthquake - (Insert random Physical move here) Charging in to the fray is Mammoth! He's loud and proud and doesnt like invaders! He's dumb, so he only uses one move while fighting, but that is made up by his unearthly speed among his kind! Too bad he has trouble deciding what move he's gonna use. Sleeper (Walrein) (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Ice Body EVs: 248 HP / 116 Def / 144 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Blizzard - Surf - Rest - Sleep Talk This Badass walrus can care less about Bulky Invaders. He's so tough, he sleeps in the middle of battle! It doesn't matter though! Cause he can attack while he snoozes! Even those Invaders with Toxic stall have trouble dealing with this because it just sleeps it off. Surf and Blizzard for Dual STAB, Rest for the trolling of the foe and Sleep Talk for that chance for Damaging the foe. But everyone in the team, particularly Cania and Sleeper, love the support she provides by granting them the power of illusions and Barriers that obscure the foes in their attack. She haas no power to fight back, but She lets the attackers miss with wild attacks, but she must be aware of those who wield the power of Aura. Administrators Amethyst Posted March 12, 2012 Administrators Share Posted March 12, 2012 It's weird to see you use something besides sun. Anyway, this is a very special heavy team... Also lacking priority- Ice Shard on Mammoswine? And maybe replace something with Cloyster to help balance it out.
SevenDeadlySins
Scizor resists most of your attacks, and bulky swords dance versions can tank somt of the neutral hits, KOing most of your team with STAB, Technician, super effective, and possibly SD boosted bullet punch. You might try putting HP Fire on someone in order to counter him. Lucario is a similar threat.
Bullet
Well, Stealth Rock slightly, only ever so slightly disrupts your team. Which is rather unfortunate for Ice monotypes, but either way I suggest a Cloyster or Cryogonal(I THINK it can learn Rapid Spin?) because well, let's face it, it's an incredibly common move annd 5/6th of your pokemon are weak to it. Also, as SevenDeadlySins pointed out, Scizor is a huge threat to your team, and I'd imagine bulky fighting types, like say, Conkeldurr also be quite troublesome. Aero
Your going to definitely want some sort of priority on your team. Scizor, as said, is a very large threat to your team. Seeing as Froslass is the one carrying the Focus Sash, you might want to put HP Fire on it somewhere because it is the only thing that can survive a Bullet Punch and actually do something back. Another suggestion is HP Fire > Hyper Voice on Kyurem, which might be more viable than Froslass depending on the situation.
Phazer
This is borderline? o-o
Administrators Amethyst Posted March 12, 2012 Administrators Share Posted March 12, 2012 Derpderpderp, I totally disregarded the BL thing. Forget the Cloyster, forget the Scizor, forget the Conkledurr and Lucario- This is much better in that case. If you do decide you want another physical- Weavile? For Rapid Spin, Cryogonal would be passable... Infernape could still be a huge problem for you. Foretress is going to hurt the team a lot... I would also be wary of any Slowking with Fire Blast/Flamethrower How would you deal with those ^?
Noivy
Weavile was OU last time I checked... But yea. I actually dominated most BL matches I have with this team because a whole swath of my weaknesses are out of the question. I could care less about Rocks because of no x4 rock weakness, Because my main hitter, Cania, is suprisingly bulky and Leftovers heals it up well. That, and Cania is fast enough to out speed a lot of things I've swept OU teams with it before. Frosslass for Slowking. As for Fortress, I occasionally throw in HP fire on Cania over Hyper Voice, But Infernape... ... o.e Edited March 12, 2012 by Owen V. Administrators Amethyst Posted March 12, 2012 Administrators Share Posted March 12, 2012 How well does Froslass really deal with Slowking? Slowking is specially bulky, + Slack Off + Regenerator, and it's not as if Froslass can switch into more than one or two attacks. :x
Aero
Well derp, disregard my suggestions.
Phazer
For Obama, whistle isn't really that effective, and if you put LO on it why not just make it a full on attacker. Could try HP Rock for that fire weakness. And Leech Seed really balances LO, so cool.
FraRPetO
You should consider using Beartic It's bulky enough to be in hail team, especially if you baton pass your Glaceon to Beartic Invest some SDef and use Swords Dance or Hone Claws, Focus Punch, Icicle Crash and finally Stone Edge I've been using it on my mono ice team, and Beartic has always been a good baton pass receiver from my Glaceon which also has Barrier Be wary of Toxic Spikes, I use Cryogonal to get rid of them, it's also a very good special defensive pokemon that learns Light Screen and Reflect if you want them
Valkyria
Beast of a monoice team. I'm totally in love with the double team on your Walrein - that's so clever...so clever. You really need to watch out for stealth rock, but other than that, this team would be a top contender in the BL tier.
Phazer
The double team is on the Glaceon
