so you say is:

People hate him, because they don't know how to counter him and stupidly run into his line of fire over and over again...

and the Bastion PotG is in that case mostly not him being necesseraly good, but the enemy team being stupid... essentially creating a "DO NOT DO THIS of the game"

If you die more than twice to the same bastion, being in the exact same spot - you deserve it!

You're exactly on point here, if a get taken out once, its all good, but then you know where he lives, and that gives everyone the advantage.

Torbjorn's turret is a little more annoying in my opinion. Like, its not impossible, but if there happens to be two of them, and ya're using someone with close-mid range, it just starts to get annoying.

Yeah he is bit more annoying imo.

And was either done on pc or had his sensitivity on what I like to call, 'caffeinated adhd squirrel' levels. Pretty sure it was done on pc with a mouse.

it was. That movement is really difficult to do on console with the controller limits.

I really want to get Hayseed Junkrat, but I've only got 300 currency. That and Plague Doctor Reaper are topping my list. Junkrat's definitely looking like my main guy though. He's so much fun to play.

I agree. I playing junkrat, he is really fun to play, and really strong also. There is no better feeling than hitting someone with a bomb and then following up with a mine to kill him in two hits. I also think his character fits perfectly into his kit.

I feel the same way. Another good feeling you get from playing him is tossing a mine at an enemy Junkrat's RipTire and killing it before it can get to your team.

Her playstyle as a sniper support is very interesting but its annoying how some people are just playing her as a sniper instead of the type of sniper ana is. In that case you might as well just play widowmaker.

Ana = the highest skill cap hero in the game right now. Aim required to heal and kill people (but the no headshots make it easier I guess), sleep is a high impact but hard to hit skill, and her grenade is so wonky and has so many situations.

She's all about knowing what to do and when. You should save her sleep for as long as possible. Use it only to save yourself, or to cancel major ultis (dead eye, rocket barrage, death blossom). Her grenade is either used to save a tank and heal them up as much as possible, as a huge aoe nuke/heal or to confirm a kill on a tank that a mercy is healing.

Over all she can do so much! But she has to do all of it or she's bad. Over all she's great. However she can't be played as a solo healer. Always has to be paired with a Mercy or a Lucio.

Anas worst Enemy is her own Team!

*Tank is about to die* - *Aims at tank to heal* - *shoots* - *another Teammate walks into the line of fire* - *Tank dies*

*Ana RAGES HARDCORE*

*Aims Nanoboost on Reinhardt* - *Presses Q* - *Torbjörn walks into your line of fire* - *Torbjörn gets boosted* - *Team proceeds to die*

*Ana RAGES HARDCORE*

The fact that she lacks mobility like Widowmaker and Hanzo makes her so hard to play, because it is so hard to get into position and/or escape

Found a really cool video talking about the hints Blizzard has -secretly- released about what may be the next new character. I'd definitely recommend giving it a watch, because there's some pretty cool stuff in here.

Story time: So I've spent this entire summer event trying to get Mercy's new red skin, and after all the loot boxes I'd opened, I still hadn't gotten it by today (Which was actually a lot of loot boxes. I managed to get the Genji skin, the Widowmaker skin, the Torbjorn skin, both Lucio skins, one of the Tracer skins, and one of the Zarya skins just by leveling up by this point) So I basically said, "What the heck. I've got some spare cash - let's buy a bunch of loot boxes for the heck of it and hopefully get that Mercy skin." So I bought the 11 pack first, opened them all, didn't get it. Leveled up again, got another loot box, didn't get it. Bought 20 more in desperation, since today's the last day of the event, and I literally get almost every epic summer skin except the Mercy one. So I go to work, spend a bunch of hours there, and I got back around 10:30pm. Started playing Overwatch around 11pm, leveled up and got one more loot box. It's now 11:55pm, I've opened the last loot box I was going to get during the event, and finally, low and behold, Blizzard took pity on my sorry soul. My last loot box had the Mercy skin in it, so needless to say, I'm pretty darn happy right now. Mixed feelings about spending like $30 on loot boxes that didn't even have it though. At least I got a bunch of gold out of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

New patch is out, and so is season 2 of competitive. I didn't dislike the balance changes they made in general. Genji was nerfed; Hanzo was buffed.

Competitive doesn't interest me too much so I'll probably stick to quickplay.

D.Va, Mercy, Lucio, and Soldier 76 are probably my favorite heroes. I still can't figure out how to play Zenyatta or Zarya decently though.

I finally picked up and started getting semi serious about this game. I have been playing Reinhardt, Hanzo, Genji, Lucio, and Reaper.

Mei and Zenyatta are annoying as hell to fight. Roadhog also has way too much HP and D Va's ult has too big of a blast radius.

And like Mael said, this game does have some annoying buggy bullcrap.

As someone who loves playing Genji.....I hate Mei. Now that I think about it, it's funny.

When I first started out, I was so hilariously bad with Genji, I was jokingly thinking things like "yeah this is my main offense hero right here". Overtime after playing him as a joke with some friends, I ended up really liking him. So now he's just my got offense hero. my go to for other roles are Junkrat/Bastion on defense, Reinhardt/D.Va on tank, and Lucio on healer.

As secondaries I have been using 76, Bastion, and Ana. Mei is annoying for most of my characters. Especially when I am reaper. It pisses me the hell off when she starts attacking me, because everytime she does I can't fight back or ghost away.

I've played for a good bit of time now, and can definitely say that Tracer is my most comfortable hero. I'd say Pharah is probably second, but I also like to play Junkrat, Roadhog, Genji, McCree and Mercy. It's rare that I ever have a bad game with Tracer or Pharah though.

I'm curious what buggy things you guys are experiencing though. Outside of some weird Roadhog pulls, I can't think of much, and you even get used to how that works after a while, since it isn't really a bug. The only other thing I've experienced is falling through the map once, though I've never seen that happen since.

Anyway, I'm currently trying to get to Platinum in competitive. I got placed in the upper half of gold, so I'm pretty close. Hanzo and Torbjorn are the most annoying things for me right now. Torbjorn because he makes Tracer's life hell, and Hanzo because he one shots almost everybody I play, especially after the buff. The game rates pretty high in my books though. It's a ton of fun.

I guess you can add Junkrat to my repertoire. Tried him out last night and had some overwhelming success in multiple games of varying skilled players. One thing I need to familiarize myself with are the maps. I haven't played a shooter with such a heavy emphasis on map knowledge in a while. It's taking a while to get used to, but I am.

Right now I am trying to remember what maps are what game mode, what maps are good for what characters, and what maps are ass for some characters. As well as learning where all the nooks and crannies are at or hiding. Knowing where health packs are located or the fastest way to get from point A to B are important. As well as figuring out character specific exploits. My mindset right now.

Genji can hit hard and even do a fair enough amount of damage to say fuck you to the tankiest characters like Roadhog. He also has a lot of counter play and can climb on top of or over obstacles easily.

Reaper is really good at maps with tight corridors and alley ways, but is ass on maps that contain wide open spaces. He can get eaten alive by Mei. He can also take out most of the dodgey jerks like Tracer and Genji pretty reliably.

76 is good when we need to play somewhat defensively.

Hanzo on the other hand is the opposite to Reaper. He excels in maps that have wide open spaces and punish those who run into corners and alley ways to escape or get the leg up on him pretty hard. He can also scout out enemies and sometimes get hax with his RYU KEN FUCK YOU super.

Junkrat encourages players to shoot out wildly without a care in the world. He is really good at filling a defense point with hell. He can also block exit and entry points with bear traps and occasionally his mine. He can also take advantage of Windows and random openings in and over walls. He is also take advantage of stages that "dip". He also is good in maps with lots of "rooms" that he can rain hell in. On the other hand he sucks at maps that are open and/or maps that have a lot of upward incline or involve shooting up.

Bastion is good for payload escort missions or camping corners in defense.

Reinhardt is really useful on Payload missions and relies a lot on his allies. His shield is useful for protecting players and acting as a wall. His shield can also anailate the element of risk in friendly player's abilities and supers. Even though most people use it to protect turret mode bastions, it can also be used to secure and increase the odds of success of your allies "Getting people in their sites" or pointing out that it is "high noon". He isn't that great alone infortionately and can't climb things.

Lucio is good for teams that stick together and Ana is good for teams that split apart often. She is also really good in combination with Phara. Which I assume was intentional.
