E3 2016 is less than a month away now. And lots of hype and unhype things have been thrown around recently.

List of Confirmed Hype for me or others.

- Final Fantasy XV

- Gears of War 4

- Persona 5

- Zelda and the Book of Something?

List of confirmed not hype things.

- Nintendo is not doing a digital event. So no Pokemon or Paper Mario.

- Activision not showing up this year either.

My mini speculation list.

Sony

- the New PS4 with better everything

- Horizon News

- Final Fantasy VII remake news

- Kingdom Hearts 3 News (new world confirmation?)

- Trailer for the next Street Fighter V character, probably Balrog/Boxer.

- New God of War game announced.

- New info on the Last Guardian.

- Persona 5 release date.

- Shenmu news?

- Tekken 7?

- Dissida 3 official announcement?

- Crash Bandi-reboot?

- overblown PlayStation VR crap?

Microsoft

- New XBox one to compete with the New PS4

- Gears of War 4 Big Reveal

- General Raam officially confirmed as the 3rd Killer Instinct guest character to follow up on the hype train.

- Scalebound News.

- Cuphead News.

- More information on the Pirate game Rare is working on.

Other Companies

- new trailer for a Battleborn character. (Maybe Alani's official reveal)

- reveal trailer for a new Overwatch character

- Monster Hunter X news?

- News for Destiny?

- News for the Division?

- Battlefield 1 news?

- Guilty Gear Xrd news?

- Oculus Rift?

Nintendo

I won't miss Activision not being there.

However I'm hyped for Persona 5, Gran Turismo (hoping for some news), Horizon, WiLD and some indie games like ABZÛ.

If Final Fantasy Dissidia is announced, I'll get hyped. I know it's been in arcades, but I wanna play those too.

Not sure what to think of PlayStation Neo/4.5 or whatever they decide to name it. Kinda against the idea.

Nintendo though. Hopefully they will do a digital event before too long.

Sony will also showcase Red Dead Redemption 2, new Gran Turismo and OddWorld games, and a project that Kojima Productions is working on

Ubisoft should talk about Beyond Good and Evil 2, new South Park and Ghost Recon games, and other things such as Ancestors and For Honor

Bethesda will bring something involving Elder Scrolls VI to the event, as well as something for Fallout IV called Far Harbor. I forget what that entails. They also have Dishonored 2 and a new Call of Cthulhu on the way.

Atlus bringing Persona 5 - for real this time - and Etrian Odyssey V.

Square Enix will bring FF7 and FF15 news, as well as KH3 and Deus Ex Mankind Divided. They are also expected to announce Dragon Quest XI.

Epic Games has Unreal Tournament 4, Gears of War 4 and Paragon to talk about. There may also be updates to Unreal Engine 4.

2K will discuss Civilization VI, Borderlands 3 and a few other smaller projects.

Capcom will discuss MHX, the Resident Evil 2 remake and the new Ace Attorney game. Rumor has it they are unveiling Resident Evil 7 as well. They are also expected to show off Ibuki and/or Juri for SF5.

Bandai Namco has a fighting game to announce alongside Tekken 7 FR, apparently. I would argue that it's a new Soul Calibur. Tales of Berseria and Ace Combat 7 are also on the radar.

SNK have Fatal Fury 4 and the King of Fighters XIV to show off this year. Apparently they have other projects as well.

Looks like Electronic Arts are no longer presenting on the main stage. Would be suited since their last few E3s have been awful. Expect no news from them whatsoever outside Battlefield 1.

Konami have pulled out of E3 entirely after the company's mass of internal problems.

The maker of the Castlevania series has a new project that he's working on. Due to Konami being fuckheads, he can't make another Castlevania game, but the game that he's making will play identically to said series.

Mighty No. 9 should be playable at E3. It comes out the following week.

Honestly I don't have any E3 hype this year.

I'm not big on the "new" variant of the consoles most people have already bought, it's basically shafting early adopters of the new console generation.

Bethesda will probably showcase a new Elder Scrolls game, which I hope will take place in a land we haven't been to since Daggerfall. Would love to go to Hammerfell again, maybe Black Marsh as well. There's a lot going down in Black Marsh and we are yet to do much with it... For good reason, given it's a death trap to any race not Argonian.

That aside... Most of my Hype is leading to Pokémon SuMo.

Other than that... Maybe a Sunset Overdrive sequel on Microsoft's end would be nice.

I'm going to predict we'll get nothing on Elder Scrolls VI this year.

It's development has been confirmed, so, I think it's likely we'll probably get a teaser trailer for it; I doubt they'll be as silent as they were with Fallout 4. Even if Fallout 4 was a disappointment in the end.

I'd have to disagree. Todd Howard more or less said he doesn't want to reveal games too early. He wants the time between reveal and release to be brief, months, not years. I think the soonest we'll see anything is E3 NEXT YEAR.

Welp. Nintendo only talking about the new Zelda game off has killed off a lot of my hype for E3. I mean, I like Legend of Zelda, but having that be the only thing you show off is kind of a buzz kill.

I'll still keep an eye out for Capcom, because they'll no doubt talk about Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice and Monster Hunter Generations(and I hope they say something about Monster Hunter Stories. I doubt it'll happen, but still).

I don't really care that much about Civ VI, but I guess I'll keep an ear out for news of that too. In case it starts to sound like it'll actually be decent.

Interesting.

Well, what im the most interested in, is FF15 (like everyone else) and Civilization 6.

This might be a bias from me, being the civ fanatic in this forum, but honestly, they have literally not showed us anything, except that its coming in october, and the art style is going to be a bit cartooish. Possible appearances might be japan, by seeing the borders in one of the screen shots have its current civ 5 colors, and that i am seeing what appears to be a samurai unit in the bottom.

2.0.jpg

but enough civ speculations from me, this is hardly the topic. I want to know what is with this whole mess of a new comcept? What is the roster of civs that we dont have to just speculate? What new features are being implemented that makes it unique from the other games? Is this rumor that i keep hearing about how the certain city buildings we have had in the past are now tile inprovements? Will we finally see a canadian civ? Either way, i am excited for this latest installment in the franchise. And i cannot wait to see what they reveal!

Uhh... Not much to say for FF15, other than it looks well made, we have seen the characters so far in what seems to be an open world setting, with you controlling a car (really interested in that) Are we going to see a skyrim sort of deal, where we travel across this huge terrain and do sidequests? Seems like it. Im just really hyped for this latest installment, since i personally think its going to relive the series again, y'know make it have a special feeling in people. So yeah! I do hope this really does live up to the hype and that we can kill giant monsters AoT style~

In terms of announcements, in really intersted to see what they might pull off. Maybe (and this is a longshot) they might tell us about some sort of VR project. Sounds farfetched, but the whole VR concept is getting really popular in recent years.

I'm excited for FFXV and any news on Dissidia 3. I'm also hoping Sony will give us an actual release date for the Last Guardian aside from just "2016." I've been waiting 5 years for that game, so needless to say, it's topping my list right now. Other than that, Tekken 7 will be interesting if it's talked about, and I guess I'd be excited for more news on the FFVII remake.

Don't worry Flux, I'll be here as your shoulder to cry on when Last Guardian fails to live up to expectations.

Sega has announced they will once again be at E3 and will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog

I hope fans riot, telling Sega to let Sonic die and give us PSO2 in English, or make PSO3 already.

I don't expect it to be as good as Shadow of the Colossus (different genre), but it's looking at least as good as ICO, and I really enjoyed that game. Team ICO's atmosphere and settings are always great.

Sonic is not going to die that easily. Fans still love Sonic and i doubt they will let sonic die.

Sonic is their most selling franchise and literally mascot. It's really heartbreaking if they did really.

Through i want Sega to focus other franchises much more. Could have fun to try their games.

For the main post, i think Sony made me most hyped even i don't play any games. It's just the interest frankly.

You would be shocked by how well Sonic Games sell despite how bad they may be. A bad Sonic Game can still outsell a Good Game, even if it is triple A or something huge. I am pretty sure that the last Sonic game (whatever it was) out sold some things like Uncharted 4, Street Fighter V, Star Fox Zero, Fire Emblem Fates, Pokken Tournament, and more. The only games I can think of that the last Sonic game probably didn't outsell is Dark Souls III and Halo 5.
