Antilegend
Hey everyone,So I've compiled a list of all of the Pokemon I've bred. My current team has proven to be extremely useful and viable, but I'm always looking to make changes and be prepared for the oncoming onslaught of Episode 16. That said, I've done my best to put the best nature on the Pokemon, but the IVs are Random, and in some cases, downright awful. Truth be told I found the difference with the IVs to be negligible concerning overall viability, so I often settled for EV distrubution and nature training. What I'll be looking for is advice on movesets or team changes you'd make with the Pokemon I currently have, and how you'd go about applying better movesets onto them. I'm not interested in episode hopping for TM breeding, as again, I found risking corruption for a more viable move to not be an adequate reason enough to do it. I think another reason why I'm trying to fine tune the team a bit is also because I believe I'm out of side quests to do.. unfortunately. That being said, here is my current main team: http://imgur.com/C8pTECS - Galvantulahttp://imgur.com/3FNF3Uu - Feraligatrhttp://imgur.com/cvuSBWz - Crobathttp://imgur.com/mh9r5vI - Reuniclushttp://imgur.com/y75Hd6M - Excadrillhttp://imgur.com/RAsmFEp - Blaziken And here's a list of my Pokemon in rotation: http://imgur.com/kOBfiYL - Alakazamhttp://imgur.com/BfyyJjP - Lucario 1http://imgur.com/t9B3fQY - Lucario 2http://imgur.com/gO4ee7m - Crawdaunthttp://imgur.com/AXFcEcC - Conkeldurrhttp://imgur.com/ePBNd4U - Torterrahttp://imgur.com/c8uqboQ - Dragalgehttp://imgur.com/cKOWepp - Espeonhttp://imgur.com/c4FwMqt - Umbreonhttp://imgur.com/iRhj7zy - Vaporeonhttp://imgur.com/tR5xNmK - Jolteonhttp://imgur.com/dgyi32m - Sylveonhttp://imgur.com/YpXbsFN - Walreinhttp://imgur.com/RqyeTn3 - Chandelurehttp://imgur.com/3lYNEXn - Croagunkhttp://imgur.com/CGacpLw - Bisharphttp://imgur.com/yJFUf0m - Steelixhttp://imgur.com/qSsVudc - Ninetaleshttp://imgur.com/70X4Fgv - Typhlosionhttp://imgur.com/fxPLsvi - Galladehttp://imgur.com/8lnOlZ2 - Gardevoirhttp://imgur.com/umHUUJn - Nidoqueenhttp://imgur.com/n8DOVDK - Drapionhttp://imgur.com/PtfXGOy - Gengarhttp://imgur.com/OluCYBj - Houndoomhttp://imgur.com/SUVo8GV - Trevenanthttp://imgur.com/gjsfvTv - Kingdrahttp://imgur.com/WdT9twX - Mamoswinehttp://imgur.com/2jhf5u4 - Sharpedohttp://imgur.com/HNthUoh - Swellowhttp://imgur.com/B7shvuq - Tyrantrum Thanks for taking the time to view these, and any input provided. FairFamily
Why do you have quick guard and mean look on that Crobat. I mean Quick guard seems a bit strange considering most of reborns fights are singles. The AI doesn't swith a lot either so why the mean look. Haze seems more usefull or super fang. Also the fire punch seems a bit weird on the blaziken when you see the brave birds and the high jump kicks. The metal claw on Lucario seems a bit strange considering you have access to shadow claw which gives coverage for about the same base power. The conkeldur what's with the low kick? Hammer arm seems more suefull if you want to go for the alternative fighting move. Or you could go mach punch(if you want to breed and lvl again) for some priority. Vaporeon, water pulse when you have surf? Is it for the confusion? Also why aqua ring ? Jolteon, whats the hidden power type and power? That gengar is the weirdest gengar I have seen, i would give it dark pulse instead of curse for some anti normal stuff coverage + confuse flinch. Swellow, again why the quick guard? The tyrantrum, I prefer a jolly dragon dance one. I mean after a dragon dance there is very little that will out speed you any way. Antilegend
Bear in mind, a lot of movesets on the alternative Pokemon are interchangeable for teams to be built, depending on what coverage is necessary. To answer your points - Crobat and Swellow's Quick Guards are essentially placeholders. No move in it's place that I found available would have been useful. I find in Swellow's case Quick Guard is acting as a minor buffer to allow Toxic Orb to go off. Crobat's moves are likely Fly fodder when the next episode drops, so we'll wait and see. I thought about Super Fang on Crobat, but I doubted how viable it'd be as a wall breaker. - Jolteon's HP is Grass with a power of 60 to cope with potential Ground counters. - Vaporeon has Water Pulse for the confusion, yes. It acts as a wall, and I found the conjunction of Aqua Ring and Leftovers (currently on Reuniclus) would add to it's survivability. - Blaziken having Fire Punch acts as a 100% accuracy STAB move without the potential of punishment. Brave Bird, Hi Jump Kick, Flare Blitz, and Blaze Kick all run with the possibility of either missing of suffering recoil damage. Having the move there as a safe move to play seemed like a good choice. - Gengar's movepool is horrendous. I honestly put next to no thought in it considering it can learn no STAB Poison-type moves, so I thought a Curse/DB Gengar could act as a kamikaze Pokemon if need be. - I don't have access to Shadow Claw unfortunately. I started in Episode 14 where Shadow Ball was still given. Edited May 29, 2016 by Antilegend
FairFamily
Filler moves are fair enough I suppose. Hidden power grass is fine. Water pulse is still gambling though. It is like 20% chance though. Muddy watter could be a good alternative more damage and a better chance at a negative effect even when you consider the accuracy. I'm not fan on save plays on sweepers. Especially when your other options are equally dangerous to itself which are likely to be played against the following pkmn after you beat the first pkmn. Shame for gengar though, I just saw it can learn venoshock which is still decent stab even without poison and with a layer of toxic spikes he gets a monstrous stab move which you have. Crunch might be on your lucario's movepool depending on the breeding. Well again reisted by fairies though.
Drymus
Heads up, that Focus Sash on Galvantula will go away after it activates once. Since we only have access to one in the game, you may want to save it for something worthwhile.
