daigotsurezan
Playing Rejuvenation got me thinking about this topic, so I was hoping to get some stories from the community and some ideas for future playthroughs. What Pokemon takes a lot of effort and care to evovle and train properly in Reborn, but after all the pain and suffering is totally worth all the time you spent?in b4 magikarp Personally, I haven't run into one of these yet in Reborn, mainly because I'll bench the Pokemon until I have the badges and TMs to make use and simply grind them up to the right point. However, I am in the process of making the long grind on my mono-Bug run of leveling up a Larvesta; by the time she hits 59 she'll be an unstoppable force of fire and... loud buzzing sounds, I guess. So what if she's weak to Rock; my entire team is crippled by sharp rocks. I've heard that a few other Pokemon can fit this bill, like Metagross or Sylveon, but I haven't gotten them or used them yet. Particularly Metagross, because I get hives every time I think about the sheer insanity of trying to do the entire event and then battle the low capture rate on Beldum. Honchy
Uh, Magnezone. Because it pretty much destroys everything, but that's simply forever to evolve it. I'd also say Probopass because of the key, but I don't think it's that good in battle
Vinny
Magikar... wait rip idk, I'd say Beldum is p worth.

Anddew
In my first run through Reborn I had a Noibat that was basically useless until it evolved and Noivern learned Boomburst. Played a huge role in beating Ceil.
Strider
beldum...takes forever to catch, but wreaks havoc after a long level up (knowing only take down)
The FiRE of AcE
Was Beldum mentioned? Yeah Beldum. Also back when one can get Ralts at the beginning of the game. She was utter garbage until she evolved to Gardevoir, which was about after beating Shelly.
Developers enu Posted June 16, 2016 Developers Share Posted June 16, 2016 From my experience Noibat and Trubbish. Both are a real pain to level up but they helped me quite a bit after they evolved. Possibly Vanillite, Klink, Helioptile and Skrelp but I didn't try them. Gardevoir and Gallade is available too soon in my opinion.
k den
Krookodile with moxie ability runs through most gymleaders also a well trained Greninja comes in handy, because of protean ability
Lugruf
Noibat. That pokemon is utter crap until it evolves at level 47. Noivern though is a beast. Larvesta evolves at level 59 and has a slow growth rate, which takes forever, but then it becomes one of the best sweepers available. MEga DAVE
Metagross is pretty badass when its leveled up
IntSys
In my first run through Reborn I had a Noibat that was basically useless until it evolved and Noivern learned Boomburst. Played a huge role in beating Ceil. If you were like me and caught a Noibat under the Opal Bridge, you must have gone through a lot of pain. And then you realize you can catch much higher-leveled ones later on...
Hymdall
Obligatory Beldum mention because GOOD LORD. There's a recording somewhere from an old stream I did of me being sick one Sunday evening and deciding to try and catch it in Episoe 14. 45 minutes later I'm asleep with no beldum. That didn't end well. Anyways, special mention to Nidoking because good god. Casino grinding + getting it a Moon Stone + making sure you evolve it at level....43? I believe so you learn Poison Jab AND Earth Power if you don't have SLudge Wave yet????? Yeah Nidoking(and by extension Nidoqueen too) are pretty much unstoppable threats once you get everything rolling for them. Hail to the King and Queen, baby. DemICE
if i mention such pokemon in general, it will be quite a list. so i'd rather mention those that gave me HELL. Noibat. This thing was like a 10ton weight that i had to drag from level 10. Was worth it in the end. Arbok. This is quite interesting actually. It was very useful at early game, but after 3rd badge it became pretty much a dead weight... until it learned Coil and Gunk Shot at level 973687 and swept charlotte almost on its own. Butterfree/Beautifly: After level 25-30's they were just such a letdown, only useful for almost 100% accurate sleep powder.... until they learned quiver dance and swept gyms alone... Venomoth: I would include it above, but this thing was an even WORSE case. Venonat was a complete and utter torture at early game. Shit moves, shit stats, and evolved much later. At least Venomoth was proving its worth even before quiver dance, and when it learned it, it became an even more deadly sweeper. YoshiofRedemption
Noibat, like many others have mentioned. I'm also adding Swinub, Tynamo, and Porygon.
