So, I draw from time to time during the weekends when no one's around and people say that they're good even tho they're bad seeing from the mistakes I made so I thought why not let people over here laugh at it \o/

(I mostly draw anime/manga btw)

So here's an attempt of Ophis from High School DxD:

The chin isn't pointy enough and the frilly hair piece was annoying to draw and I think it looks bad

And here's the edited version of Arturia from Fate/Stay Night because I missed something the first time:

I really suck at drawing eyes

And lastly for now at least I have Bleach's Rukia Kuchiki in her bankai cause it looks legit af

Edit: Oh btw, I also forgot to mention that I draw from reference with the picture on my laptop next to me cause otherwise I'll get stuff like a pinguin turning into a pigeon again

Well atm I still have one drawing lying on my desk but I forgot to draw a few lines so it isn't completed yet and I'm also looking for more references to draw right now so there'll probs be some more drawings every other weekend or so I guess, and once vacation starts I guess more often? idrk yet

Nice work, Wendel! I do the same thing with drawing from reference on my laptop. There's nothing wrong with it, and copying from good drawings can even make you better at drawing in general. Keep up the good work.

First another Rukia drawing I made yesterday but had to add some things cause I forgot to draw 2 lines which my sister pointed out later on otherwise I wouldn't have noticed it xD and the mouth looks weird to me :I

Yea but that one was the unfinished one without the 2 lines added in so she doesn't have a random gap on her right leg and a disappearing shirt on the left xD

Thank you too~ and well seeing as I just draw stuff from anime that I can find a nice pictures of I sure as hell accept stuff to draw. I think I'll add a reference pic from Shunsui to draw next weekend or later on

If you are interested, there are several tutorials that can teach you the concept of light and perspective. Your lineart is quite good, tbh, so it may be worth your while to practice and learn more details.

Of course, no tutorial is better than good ol' trial and error, as I always say. Try, imagine what it'd be like to have light coming from a source and experiment with shadows!
