If this is the case for youtube then honestly I'm considering closing my channel. I get that youtube is the second biggest search engine worldwide, but if youtube wants to take the risk of losing the huge audience it has that primarily uses it because it's free and convenient, then I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles. People will still use it obviously because it's grown that big, but I think youtube is going to lose a lot of it's content creators because of this... particularly the ones under 10k subscribers since it's going to make it harder for them to attract attention (especially with that subscriber burn algorithms)

Unfortunately, I could understand why it is doing this. Youtube needs revenue at some point, otherwise it won't be able to continue to provide this content for us.
