I said if I was given some notice of people being unable to post for a reason, I would have mercy and grant them amnesty... but, just firing up a vague post in the OOC without any context or reason why you're gone? That's not gonna cut it bud. You can't just up and leave without at least giving me some form of context; I can understand if you want to keep it out of public knowledge and all, but damn it, that's what PMs are for, you could've contacted me directly if that's the case. Be it family members being sick, college starting, your personal/home life being in turmoil, etc- I don't need all the juicy, compromising details that will embarrass you, I just want to get a basic idea of what's going on so I can estimate how long it might last and how to best accommodate for it and keep you around. Hell, you could give me a brief gist/rundown/rough basic idea of the situation and refuse to divulge anything further, and that would still be fine so long as I was apprised of your reasons. But this is not enough. And this applies to everyone as well, in the future. I'm a reasonable bloke, but if you can't even provide me a basic reason why you'll be unavailable... well, I can't help you. Shit has gone a bit crazy and things have gone off track since I was preoccupied with classes and helping various relatives, but, no excuse... bear with me for a while longer folks, come hell or high water, I shall not rest tomorrow until there is a bright and shiny new update and we get the plot rolling a little bit more. I will take care of contacting those two need contacting afterwards. as for Gan-mac, Poppy, and Sansa, Gan-mac is currently being yelled at by Poppy as he walks away. That should be enough to give you a marker of where that scene is, given jory's last post is on the more current page IC IIRC. Also, come here, no, closer... all three of you. actually, no, wait. not here, too open, meet me in pm, five minutes. Come alone, else the Street Lords will getcha. EDIT: Cinder is considered to be in stasis until further notice. I will not bunny him and he will be left at home in the encalve as the teams are formed and embark on their first mission. Actually, I recently discovered that the Cafés here have free WiFi, and I can use that to post. I might have a bit of difficulty, but it's doable. Color selection when trying to highlight a character needs to be more appropriate, and darker colors (like the purple you chose for Sephtis, Stratos, and most of Huk's long conversation between various characters) generally need to be avoided as the contrast between the black background and these colors make it difficult and displeasing to the eye to read. Nothing against your most recent post, Huk, it's just the formatting in this aspect really needs a fix. It's great that you're making it easy for readers when you specify colors for characters, but really, do work on color selection....I also understand that we have a limited palette on the matter, but my point stands. Right now I'm in the process of going through and poking those who need it, but I would like to clarify something: Even though the Once a week post requirement only applies to scenes where more than two independt parties are involved, such as those between mulitple PCs or PCs and Host controlled NPCs, I still expect a least a bit of initiative for people who embark on Solo Scenes using their own npcs and such to try and post semi-regularly just to stay chronologically relevant in the story. Hukuna has been a good example of what I expect thus far, up till I sent Clemont in, he was running that scene himself, and while he wasn't rapid firing, posting at the drop of a hat, he was still doing a fairly decent job pacing it's updates in such a way that he wasn't, you know... completely forgotten because of the time lag between each section. Folks like Azery and though... not so much; he has left his intro scene literally right at it's very beginning and hasn't advanced it since, god knows how many pages have gone by since then. TDLR: while I am more lax with Solo scenes, I still expect those players who chose to start and maintain them to give the occasional post or two every once in a while so that they aren't completely steam rolled. Not just post once or twice, then forget about everything and disappear for like, an entire month as both other player's interactions and the plot itself advance as their scene sits around just barely past the beginning. ya'll got me? I already know I gotta crack down on being better about the Once a week thing for interactions, don't make me set some sort of time limit for Individual scenes too; I'd really rather not too, but ya'll gotta take responsibility and try to stay relevant in the IC if you're gonna do them, capiche? Sutoratosu Posted October 15, 2016 Author Share Posted October 15, 2016 *Flips through the copious amounts of paperwork he has prepared...* This recent delay is because I've been finalizing the next push to move us forward and actually get the plot rolling as well as who will be put together on what team, whether to make said teams 3 strong like in traditional PMDs, or 6 like in the games, whether or not to have certain NPCs assigned to lead you all or let you decide your own management on your own, etc. An update will be out soon, likely by mon or tues this coming week. No, I don't beleive I heard a specific number, but I do recall you telling me about Exams coming up. Regardless, thank you for the advanced notice, you are hereby excused during November's duration. If you dish out a post and proceed within the week we can get stuff done as I can be rather responsive due to it being self-study period without distractions like school and all, and I'll even spare some days on and off. If you want a date, I think the safest I'll go on leave (unless I get super bored and decide that checking this out is fine) would be 3rd November; not to bug you, but I'd appreciate some activity in the RPs I signed up for rather than them being stagnant long period.
