Huzzah, I finally have internet at my place, so I'll later go over my last posts and add in the portrait and colours to them, and will now generally be far more reliable in my posting \o/

Sweetness. I already considered going through and doing it for you on occasion not going to lie but... kinda don't want to just be using my mod powers willy nilly.

But, good to hear!

Honestly if this lasted much longer I probably would have asked you too, the thought is appreciated. I forgot how much more comfortable it is to be posting from a laptop/computer compared to a phone.

Also note that prettiness is a side thing. Mugs wouldn't be a thing on my side if Inno hadn't stepped up, and if you guys didn't want mugs mugs wouldn't exist on posts either. It's cool that we have all these pretty posts but if you can't post with the pretty standards it's fine! Priority is fun roleplaying, and keeping it speedy and alive.

Also I posted!

tfw at this point it's basically tradition after I make a post for Zeta to instantly pm me something along the lines of "rip Terrin." ((or whoever the subject is at the time... mostly Terrin doe.))

Look, I can't help that Meredith brings out my inner savage.

Terrin is trying his best to be a decent mage. He didn't ask for this, he just wanted to be a knight. He's just a boy.

Also I'm not sure I'm looking forward to Meredith's nickname for Ecquis tbh...

I'll figure it out when I get there lol. ((that line at the end there is literally a jab at myself since I tend to think of them off the top of my head and if I like it I stick with it LOL. Honestly went with Thunder Blunder so I can go #THunderBlunder every time he misses in OOC. Does that make me evil? Probably.))

And HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE signed up for Meredith's band of misfits. He wanted this, so he better get used to it! Meredith is the queen of playful teasin'. ((That secretly destroys your soul at the same time.))

Hell, I want to see what she'll come up with for Maya...

Actually hell, what I really want is to hear about how she even got on the squad to begin with...seeing as how my whole entry into this glorious madhouse caused a bit of a gray area resulting in Adrienn canonically having never joined the Misguided Children and Mayanna just kinda...appearing in his place and taking over his job miraculously.

Clearly it's just an alternate timeline.

Though I just mentally solved it that in between the time from when the prologue happened to when the first battle started they just switched healers for what ever reason. Chalked it up to that.

Ah yes, the alternate timeline... the warp was so subtle, none of us felt it, not even myself as I emerged through the gate and into this world...

But would Meredith actually know about the PSH&D (Psychosomatic Harmony & Dissonance)? I mean, assuming she actually interviewed everyone at some point like she did Serene and Radburn... though then again, it's not like Maya goes advertising that she knows how to wreck minds and inflict terrible suffering with a tool meant for the exact opposite of such, so...

Clearly Adriaen died between chapters. A lot happens during time skips.

Nah man, Pyon said he never joined to begin with

I always figured Samwell was drunk one night, being like "ha ha let's put all these people in one group and see what happens", and the fact that we complete missions successfully convinced him to permanently make us into a group

Clearly Adriaen died between chapters. A lot happens during time skips.

I always figured he was sent back to base camp in Laguna Bay to work there. Adriaen will forever be in our hearts, just never to be seen again.

I honestly don't really know what the working story is, I could talk about it to Pyon though it's not really the biggest deal.

My kinda idea was that Meredith sorta just runs a unit that is basically, all the misfits of the Misguided Children or people that join up but the more "normal" units wouldn't take them in a million years for whatever reason. Meredith had this kind of experience first arriving there I feel, seeing as she was from Dragao and fought for Dragao and earlier on she'd have been easier to pin as "The Undying" since it was more recent when she joined up, so no one was really all that willing to accept her at the time, so she just ended up running her own unit of all the folks like her within the ranks of the Children lol.

Of course, this is just my head canon and not really something that's set in stone. I just figured she was sorta the unit leader ((and people have already said she basically is lol.)) I just figure it explains it in an interesting way as to how all these misfits ended up in the same place. ((and I feel it gives and interesting characterization point to Meredith in that she gives other people second chances, or is quicker to give them the benefit of the doubt then others due to what's gone on in her life.))

Just my thoughts on it lol. Nothing is really set in stone though. I'm not really even sure how the Children are structured and if that even makes sense in the context of them XD.

I was under the impression that we all joined as peers, considering being in the Misguided Children is assumably voluntary and that Samwell isn't secretly blackmailing us all. Rosalvya does respect Meredith and would take advice from her, but I'm not sure she'd actually obey "orders". I actually hadn't thought of, or "realized" Meredith as the unit leader until about halfway through, and even then, Rosalvya still views everyone as peers fighting for the same goal.

Certainly not the most earth shattering of details, but flavor texttttttttttt omnomnomnom

Keep in mind even if she is the marked leader she doesn't really do the "order you obey" style thing. Meredith strictly hates rank and file... yadda yadda military mumbo jumbo. ANd she's definitely sees it along the lines of "we're all in this together." Like I'm sure there was a point where she hesitated to call herself that in the IC thread somewhere. ((think it was in the scene with Hoshiko.))

Everyone likes a good bit of flavor text. It's some neat stuff to have. But yeah I think our group was probs just a volunteer group that just happened to get lumped together. At least it's working out for the most part.

How the misguided children are structured:

"You dont really look like yeh can fight. Can yeh fight? YES!? Alright you are in that group of whathoosits! Do well my child, and Goddess protect you and all that, har har har har har har har!"

Samwell tries to be a good leader you know, but a pirate will always be a pirate.
