x3 seems a bit... much LOL. Though... I suppose it would make "effective" damage a pretty big deal so I guess that change kinda makes sense if one implemented it. ~~((also it makes Crossbows not a gross number like 1.5x since that's what it is XD.))~~

TFW those fucking bandages had to have come from the medical supplies Sam sent us off with... and Maya has always hated it when people go into med supplies without leaving any notice of what's been used and needs to be replaced

Eh, she'll have bigger things to worry about though... hell, she's got enough to think of right now even, like where the hell to go right now with the party splitting into two and who to unleash the sands of sleep upon first since no one is hurt... and the only target in range is probs gonna die to Mere...

What is there to see? The lines are clear already; Meredith seems to be leading the bulk of the party east while you four stragglers are heading south. There's such a distance between us and most of the enemies that it seems like we'll attack them before they reach us by virtue of them trying to close said distance in a single turn and failing, and given the fact that ya'll are bum rushing and murdering left and right... I doubt anyone in Meredith's group will get too banged up.

Screw it, I'm going south. That's where the boss is, that's where the weaker of us are going. West party has serious strength in numbers, enough that my aid aint' nessacary to pick anyone up or keep them from going down; there's more than enough able hands to pop a vulnerary in a bind.

Ye. Also they have Luka if they really need to do things. It occurs to me that on posting that only Terrin/Rosa/Luka haven't really moved so yeah. Come down with us friend, it will make for fun happenings and raided treasure.

I forget that Pyon doesn't use the ruleset that most of bay12 does. They usually make effective damage 3x (with crossbows at 2x), plus nerfing/removing lots of skills. (I still think not banning Stillness is silly...)

To be honest I was thinking that it should be triple damage. Effective damage should be equivalent to a crit, but the only time I remember seeing effective damage was with Anna and she got a high number because of hammer. So if everyone is cool with it I'm cool with effective damage beng triple.

Rip archer tanking dreams. Also I actually didn't even realize that crossbows were 1.5x for effective damage lol. Also for status staves, when the range is 1/2 magic, is that rounded up or down?

Unless it spcifies somewhere in the book I always round down

Noted. Was going to have Maya put that new sleep stave to use. Oh well, I'm sure a certain nearbyish knight wouldn't mind getting some rest...

Yeah, it's always rounded down, I just assumed as much right from the start since stats in the Support Ranks are like that too (So for light I think you get like, 0.5 defense boost at C rank... rounded down to zero. once you move to B rank though, it rises to 1 because of doubling, then 1.5 at A because of x3, but still rounded down to just 1)

Honestly, I'm probably not gonna get to use the damn staff at all in this fight. I had an opportunity on the first turn of battle since I was in range, but you guys were already starting to bumrush shit left and right and well... one of the perks of sleep is keeping the enemy immobile and unable to act, freeing you up to focus on other things, or to kill them easily since they can't dodge, but given the sheer speed at which you all are already wrecking shit, they're most likely gonna be dead long before I ever post, combine that with the fact that there's a 75% chance of them waking up if you fucking go over and cut them up like jack the ripper... yeah, me even bothering to break it out here would kinda be futile. Why afflict them when they're going to die very quickly without my intervention anyway? Just a waste of the staff at that point, really. hence why maya's a bit miffed; she's only telling herself it's because ya'll are going gung ho and murdering without a real plan...but really, she was looking forward to putting some bitches to sleep

Oh don't worry. I have plans for it. Also since sleep drops evasion to zero, perhaps a certain mage won't be as likely to miss...

Truth be told I asked about the range so that you could put the nearby fighter to sleep for a little while but 1 range short rip.

That's assuming he even decides to come with us... which given the interest he already expressed towards investigating the gate to the east, seems unlikely.

Ah. Well in that case you can put any annoying people nearby to sleep then. Maybe including the fighter still depending on whether we feel like bothering with him.

In fact if you can manage to also put the monk and mage to sleep if they happen to come over that would be great.

Unless you can get some of the one fire magic that has innate crit, or you fight people with less than 4 luck, the crits will not be there for you my friend. I'm truly sorry.

Hmm, considering the fact that south group (totally the best group) has to deal with a knight with a monk, archer, and wyvern rider, how possible is it to just poke him, put him to sleep so he can't do crap on his phase, then bop him dead? Provided of course other people don't end up showing up. (Was going to mention getting him to move then put him to sleep, but we need his door keys so...)
