Cool Girl
Tags: Action, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Military (Credits go to MyAnimeList for plot) Plot: "In order for something to be obtained, something of equal value must be lost." Alchemy is bound by this Law of Equivalent Exchange—something the young brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric only realize after attempting human transmutation: the one forbidden act of alchemy. They pay a terrible price for their transgression—Edward loses his left leg, Alphonse his physical body. It is only by the desperate sacrifice of Edward's right arm that he is able to affix Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor. Devastated and alone, it is the hope that they would both eventually return to their original bodies that gives Edward the inspiration to obtain metal limbs called "automail" and become a state alchemist, the Fullmetal Alchemist.Three years of searching later, the brothers seek the Philosopher's Stone, a mythical relic that allows an alchemist to overcome the Law of Equivalent Exchange. Even with military allies Colonel Roy Mustang, Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye, and Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes on their side, the brothers find themselves caught up in a nationwide conspiracy that leads them not only to the true nature of the elusive Philosopher's Stone, but their country's murky history as well. In between finding a serial killer and racing against time, Edward and Alphonse must ask themselves if what they are doing will make them human again... or take away their humanity. My thoughts: This anime is so much better than the first version of FullMetal Alchemist. Brotherhood has 61 episodes and two movies with it. I recommend this anime. Me personally, there were some parts of the anime that wasn't a surprise to me 'cause I read the manga. But, overall this anime is very good. Feel free to discuss this anime in spoiler tags so that nothing is spoiled!
Eternal Edge
My favorite anime of all time tbh, but fyi Brotherhood only has 1 movie in its continuity. Conqueror of Shamballa is actually an epilogue to the original series while Sacred Star of Milos takes place sometime during Brotherhood. Cobalt996
I tend to like endings more along the lines of FMA than FMA:B. Don't get me wrong, resolution is nice, but I don't usually prefer things working out decently well for all involved, given the stakes. Vague so no spoiler tagging because lazy :
SilverJakler
I love this show. Blew the original anime series right out of the water.
Godot
FMA:B has a special place in my heart due to it being based on the Manga. The FMA manga is what got me into anime.

DerogatoryTrainer
Yeahhh this was the first non-mainstream anime I watched back in 2003. I was skeptical when I heard it was getting remade into Brotherhood in 2010 but I gave it a look and was not disappointed. Still get chills from Bradley vs MacDougal in the first episode of Brotherhood.

Everyone got a shot at the essentially new God. Hype as all hell.
Maelstrom
Yeahhh this was the first non-mainstream anime I watched back in 2003. 'non-mainstream' ~Do you wanna build a human? It doesn't have to be a human...~
DerogatoryTrainer
'non-mainstream' ~Do you wanna build a human? It doesn't have to be a human...~ Compared to the likes of Dragonball, Beyblade, Yugioh and Pokémon I mean
