Game Physics: Pokemon

Recommended Posts

So this is a little video I put together that looks at physics in the gaming world. I've been teaching Physics for about 3 years now, and thought of creating videos that some students can relate to. If there are any subjects, or ideas anyone wants answered let me know. I was thinking another video could be how much thrust a Pidgey would need to fly a trainer.

Ideas based on HMs:

- How much force is needed to surf up that Waterfall (with a trainer on it's back)

- How much force is needed to cancel out a strong whirlpool

- as you mentioned yourself what is needed to fly a trainer around

- How deep does "Dive" actually take you - how can the trainer on the Pokemons back sustain the Water-pressure without fainting and actually guiding theit Pokemon (dependent on the depths)

also JEEZUZ... why isn't strength the Strongest Move then?? it should be able to one-shot anything... One Punch Man style!

I'd recommend a better quality mic, but in the mean time, find some quiet pokemon ambient music for the background of the video.

Instead of 5 million something cubic centimeters just say 5 point something cubic meters, but you can still show the calculation and then conversion on the screen. Or do some rounding. "Roughly 5.3 million cubic centimeters." One or the other, it just shortens it and makes it easier to grasp mentally

If I may ask though. What video editor do you use?
