Chevaleresse
"What's that supposed to mean!? Heroes are supposed to go on patrols because they keep people safe! And what's wrong with meditating, huh!? Isn't the goddess's chosen hero supposed to stay close to her? I'm trying as hard as I can, okay!? So just leave me alone about it already! Go play with your Goddess-damned knives or something and SHOVE OFF! Ugh!" Hoshiko pushed past Klaren - despite the fact that, being outdoors, there was plenty of room to go around him - and stormed off, quivering with rage and moving in no particular direction except for away from the monk, who seemed to have a talent for pushing all of her buttons at once. Bfroger6
"U-uhm, Hoshiko! Wait up, I'm sorry..." Klaren sighed as he watched the girl trample away. He didn't mean to upset her...well, at least not this much. But he really seemed to strike the chord. She was damn upset now! "...I suppose it wasn't right to mock her..." Klaren's shoulder somehow slumped even lower. "Mmmm... I'll have to apologize the next time I see her! Yep! That should give me an opportunity to talk to her again too! Just you wait, Koko, I'll show you what I've got!" The monk exclaimed eagerly as he opened up his journal on a page adorned with the title 'Koko'. Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
"It's okay really... I know you didn't mean it. Just..." Saffron sniffed one last time, drying her tears for good and taking a deep breath. "Don't tell anyone I cried okay? I need to keep a confident and strong aura. If we find Snow, I'll be the first to save her. Until then I need to keep being grounded on reality and fighting for a future. Is that okay?" InnocentSerenity
’Grounded in reality’, huh? I really am different from a princess. “Alright, I won’t tell anyone, but...” Something didn’t feel right in Luka. “I won’t accept that as my apology to you.” Luka closed his eyes, trying to think of something. Only one thing came to mind. “Punch me in the face!” Luka’s expression held no humor. He was seriously telling Saffron to punch him in the face. “I don’t deserve your kindness, so you need to punish me for what I did.”
Developers Marcello Posted October 6, 2016 Developers Share Posted October 6, 2016 "In that case, I'm sure she'd be proud to know the noble cause for which you are now fighting." Terrin smiled back, before noticing Hoshiko storming off from Klaren a bit away from the rest of the group. "Would you at all mind if I take one of these bowls for someone else?" He asked Feri as he watched him dish out the stew. He hadn't spoken much to Hoshiko since the battke against Maris, and he knew if there was one thing that made HIM feel better when in a foul mood, it was good food. Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
"What?..." Saffron was astonished at the notion of punching Luka but quickly started laughing. She laughed so hard that her stomach started to hurt and she was almost falling on the ground. "No Luka, I am not punching you in the face. Physical punishment isn't the type of punishment I want in my kingdom. However." Saffron approached Luka and flicked his forehead with her pointer finger. "Don't do it again please. I want you to speak your mind, but never be hurtful about it okay?" "I hope she is." Feri said, he gave a smile, but not as warm or genuine as his last one. "Please take it, the food is for everyone. I'll keep it hot so everyone can eat whenever they like."
Developers Marcello Posted October 6, 2016 Developers Share Posted October 6, 2016 "Thank you. I look forward to hearing more about your wife in the future. She sounds as though she was a good woman." Terrin said with a smile, before jogging off in Hoshiko's direction, making sure to not go too fast, lest he spilled the stew. "Hoshiko!" He called out to her as he caught up. "Here. Not even the Goddess' chosen can work on an empty stomach." He smiled a bit as he offered her the bowl. He was still mocking her a little, but in truth, mostly was just committing to the role he had chosen to play in rheir interactions, having rather enjoyed last time. Sutoratosu
Her gaze shifted to the commotion in distance, inwardly sighing as she finally found Klaren... promptly upsetting hoshiko and being pushed aside as the girl stormed off. "That fool's causing problems yet again...what, did he try to kiss her too? Completely understandable reaction if so..." "Oh, and why was that?" She asked, turning back to Equis, "Please, go on..." "He's got something coming to him if he keeps up this behavior. Provoking blows to the face to act as a decoy and enjoying the pain as an added bonus is one thing... making unwanted advances on your party members is another..." Zetaark
"Well, the two of us met in the wilderness of Yukihana actually. Or at least, he noticed me first. Alvis was an experienced spy who had to run from wherever he was from. Apparently they sent one of their wyvern platoons out to try and find him and bring him back. So when he first noticed me going through the area, he got worried that I was part of that group," Ecquis started, recalling the particular incident. "He must have been tracking me for about a week or so before he started making attempts at my life. Though thanks to all of the snow around, I was much harder to see, especially when I was on Cynthia. I wasn't sure who was hunting me or why at the moment, but I knew I had to be careful to not be spotted. Personally I figured it was someone my family sent to get rid of me. I think it was a night one week after the attacks started where I heard a scream waking me up. When I got up to look, Sven had apparently found the spy, and was halfway towards completely eating him," Ecquis paused for a moment, wondering briefly what would have happened if he didn't wake up at that point. "I ended up managing to keep Sven from completely devouring him, and asked him why he was tracking me. Luckily, Alvis quickly explained the situation after noticing that I wasn't part of the platoon that went after him. I was much too young to have been part of that particular group, but my wyverns ended up scaring him a bit. Really the whole incident was a sort of misunderstanding, and the two of us ended up becoming friends afterwards," Ecquis finished, taking a deep breath. "My, I haven't spoken about that in quite a while. I hope my story hasn't made you bored at all," Ecquis said, wondering if Maya would have been fully interested in his tale. Sutoratosu
((Hey, Bfrogger... I've made up my mind. RIP)) "Oh not at all..." She said idly, gears already turning in her mind as she looked back at the wicked monk. She felt another shiver as she thought back to that disgusting little display of misguided affection. The last person on earth she had wanted any sort of intimate contact with was that purple haired loon..."Scared by almost getting eaten, eh? Say, Ecquis... I have an idea... You see Klaren over there, with Hoshiko stomping off? During the battle earlier that loon tried to kiss me after he was healed... and I think he was trying to make passes at her too just now. So what do you say we...scare him straight a little? Teach him what happens when you take such presumptive liberties with a sister of the faith...or his fellow party members." She felt something stir within her, somewhere deep in her soul that tried to waylay her drastic course, but whatever pleas her conscience might have made fell only on deaf ears. Perhaps what she had in mind was too far, perhaps she really should just let it go. But damn it, that monk had been a headache since the very moment she'd met the bastard. She'd already let her agitation slip a little during the battle of all times....and she didn't feel like hiding it anymore as he harassed that poor girl. One or another, she was still papa's daughter too, regardless how much she took after mama. It was time to bring some form of order to the vexing Chaos that was Klaren's conduct. If he'd been afraid of her simply from a harsh lecture for being reckless...then goddess knows this would have a profound effect... "How playful is morgan?" She asked, rather ominously. Her gaze hardened to daggers as she kept petting the wyvern. Aside from cynthia, she was still the only one Maya had been properly introduced to yet... and she seemed good-natured enough. Hopefully she had enough self control to act intimidating without outright killing or maiming the fool...
Zetaark
"Well...Morgan is one of the better natured ones, so she probably won't do anything too crazy," Ecquis says, slightly amused by Maya's tone with this. He recalled her earlier reactions to Klaren in one of their first conversations, but he had no idea that it would have gotten this far. It would be a lie if Ecquis didn't think this confrontation might be a little amusing, so long as he came around to make sure nobody got severely hurt. "I suppose I don't mind helping you out, provided I go with you. As amusing as it is to see you like this, I do need to make sure that you don't take things too far. Just in case. Morgan, how do you feel?" he asks the wyvern besides him. In response, Morgan lowers her wings so that Maya could ride if she wanted to. "Well, Morgan appears to have no objections. So long as you don't take things too far, you're free to handle this how you see fit," Ecquis tells Maya, partially supporting her endeavors and partially wondering if anything will go wrong. InnocentSerenity
Dang, she really is cute. Luka quickly noticed his own odd expression, quickly snatching back his scarf from the princess. “Hoo, did it get cold around here? Sorry, I need this back!” Quickly tossing his scarf around his neck, he tried his best to cover his own face. “But yeah, um… Thanks.” While Saffron couldn’t see his mouth, a nervous smile was on his face. “Honestly, my inner thoughts are something I like to keep to myself, but I won’t hide all of my words around you, I guess.” “And I promise. I’ll help you find Snow.” Luka pulled down his scarf, making sure the princess could see his bright smile. “Dancers love to see their audience smile, and I’ll make sure I get to see yours alongside your pegasus.”
Sutoratosu
"Oh you can trust me on this..." She muttered, getting up from her place by the fire with her staff in hand. "The fool's no good to this unit as a corpse, and if he ends up maimed from this, I'm the one who'll have to do all the work of stabilizing his sorry hide so he doesn't bleed out. I just want him scared straight... no more, and certainly no less. I've already seen I can scare him just by letting my...true opinion of him show. Imagine the effect I'll have this time... his previous behavior was one thing, but I will not sit by as another servant of the goddess harasses young women and sullies her name...my father would hang his head in shame if I did." Zetaark
Even despite Maya's harsh tone, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "My, you're certainly scary when you're angry. Remind me not to do something to anger you in the future," Ecquis remarked. The last thing he would want is to have the healer of the group upset at him, especially seeing her like this. For a moment, Ecquis felt a little bad for Klaren. The Poor man is about to feel a sister's wrath, Ecquis thought briefly before looking back at Maya. "So then, how do you want to do this?" Chevaleresse
"What? O-Oh, thank you, Terrin." She bowed quickly but politely to him before taking the stew, looking down into the bowl in an (entirely unsuccessful) effort to hide the consternation on her face; she was quite flushed, not to mention shouting at the monk loudly enough that her father might have been able to hear them. "I haven't eaten yet, so thank you again for saving me the trouble of getting something to eat." She was glad to see Terrin, really; he, at least, seemed to understand her a bit, putting a little credence into what she believed even if no one else did. Well, except maybe Meredith; she didn't seem to think it was so ridiculous any more...

Raindrop Valkyrie
Meredith noticed the little spat between the monk and Hoshiko. This... she didn't even know what to call him... really knew nothing about talking to people. She wanted to stick around those she was currently conversing with but she felt it was more or less her duty to attend to the matter. Hoshiko seemed to be quite the loner, very much so. Meredith wasn't entirely sure if the girl got along with anyone else in the unit. She knew this might be an issue down the line, but her spirit was why she added her as part of her unit. Once again, another that no one else would've taken. She was just willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. A quality many others seemed to lack. She saw Terrin go over to her, but she wasn't entirely sure that was working. "Well as much as I'd enjoy to continue our debate, I'll have to be taking my leave for now. I apologize. Perhaps we can settle this some other time Radburn~ I'll prove to you yet that the Spear is the greatest weapon. The mark of a true hero. and see ya Firecracker.~" She made her way over, passing the Red Wyvern. She gave him a little pat on the head revealing that he had been there the whole time. "I bet you're a good boy!" she said as she continued past. and she continued directly over to the two that were standing in the distance. "Perhaps you should let me take this one?" she said tapping Terrin on the shoulder from behind. She moved surprisingly quietly for someone with armour. Though, it was expected of one who's armour was nearly a second layer of skin for them at this point in time. "She needs someone she's comfortable with at this point. I'm not sure I even fill that requirement. But, I am her... I don't want to say commander, that's not really what I consider myself even if I am listed as such by the Children." Sutoratosu
"Circle 'round the woodline when I go over to talk to him." She began, the smile on her face rather crooked...more than just a bit unsettling of a sight, for a sister, "I'll tell him I want to talk about what happened earlier, and right when I whistle, you send Morgan out to chase him down. Then we'll be able to have the real chat and maybe have it get through that head of his." She turned her attention to the wyvern, again patting the beast's head "Let him run for a little while, Morgan, then pin him down when it looks like he's running out of breath. And remember, all you have to do is act like you want to eat him... don't actually crush him or bite or anything, that'll just create more work for me in the end. Understand girl?" Zetaark
Morgan understood Maya's words, and made a small roar to acknowledge her desires. Ecquis after hearing this decides that this whole situation should go without too many problems. "It seems that Morgan understands what you want. She'll probably be able to actually attempt to eat him also without actually hurting him, though I'm not entirely sure on that. It may be better not to risk going that far. At any rate, I'll be heading along. Morgan should also be able to hear your whistle and go on her own. Will you?" Ecquis turns to his mount. In response, Morgan nods her head, affirming that she knows what to do. "Alright then, I'll leave this to you. Have fun, provided that's even the right thing to say here," Ecquis says, laughing a bit at the end. He then walks towards the trees, with Morgan following behind. Elsewhere, after having been pet by Meredith, Sven decided to follow Meredith towards where she was heading.

Developers Marcello Posted October 7, 2016 Developers Share Posted October 7, 2016 "Ah, Meredith. If I had've known you would join us, I would have brought more stew over." Terrin just smiled at her, before making a rather understated heroic pose. "I see no reason we can't both try to cheer her up." He whispered, before adding with another whisper as he gazed over her shoulder. "You, uh... DO know there's a wyvern following you, right?" Terrin gave a brief wave to Sven, unsure if he would even understand the gesture, before turning back to Hoshiko. "How about we find somewhere for the three..." He started, before glancing back at Sven. "...four?" He corrected under his breath, "of us to sit while yiu eat that?"
Code: PIRULUK
Serene blushed slightly at Meredith's compliment, averting her eyes. She opened her mouth to say something, but Meredith's attention had been caught by something else. She closed her mouth and simply saw her off with a little wave. Firecracker. She smiled, then frowned. It wasn't fair that Meredith kept calling her that. She needed a nickname for the commander, too. Iron Lady? No, too boring. Spear Woman? Ew. She thought for a while, but couldn't think of anything good. Finally, the image of Meredith standing on the battlefield came to her. With her spear in hand, battle-worn armor and her red hair flying in the wind, with firm stance that promised to fight off any assault and defend her position to the last, she looked like... like a... "Rampart." It wasn't a very cute name, but she could think of nothing that described Meredith better than that. She grinned, resolved to use that name the next time they spoke. For now, though, she turned back to Rosalyva and Radburn, primarily addressing Rosalyva. "Oh right. Wanted to offer my apologies for getting ahead of you and cremating that undead. Many apologies. I get pretty heated up in battle, makes it hard for me to really think much about my actions." Edited October 7, 2016 by Code: PIRULUK
Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
Grumpy snorted at Luka, but otherwise let him touch. Saffron simply giggled. "I call him Grumpy for a reason you know? He doesn't let Feri come near him, and almost kicked Keagan once. Pegasus in general prefer girls over boys. I wonder if he thinks you are girly?" "It is fine, fire mage! I was out cold so I couldn't take part of the action." Radburn looked at Serene for a second and his eyes widened. "I just came up with the best combo move ever!" He exclaimed. He posed himself into a fighting stance, holding an invisible sword. "So you and me fire mage, we are in the battlefield. I am holding my trusty wooden blade. You light it on fire and I rush in;" He runs forward a few steps and does a horizontal slash as if decapitating a foe. "Sure Kill; BURNING RAD BLADE!" He looked back at the two girls with a bright smile but legs shaking. Playing it cool, he pretended that all of his body wasn't in complete agony from his sudden movements. "What do you think?" Code: PIRULUK
Serene giggled. "I suppose that might work, except for the tiny detail of the wooden sword burning up and leaving nothing to swing." Raindrop Valkyrie
"I'm not much in the mood for food at the moment, so it's fine." after today, her apatite was pretty much non-existent. Just, with all the things that happened she just wouldn't be able to work herself up to that at all. Perhaps in a while now that Radburn was awake... but she still felt an awful pit in her stomach. One she just couldn't shake. What the hell were those things? and who was this Ignexus in reality? Was he really a dragon? The questions she silently mulled over in her head, the biggest killers of the want to eat anything. "Oh, he followed me? Huh, I didn't think he would. Must be somewhat different then I imagined. I still don't really know Ecquis's wyverns all that well. I know this one is the sole male of the group, but not much else." after all she knew of their number and their general dispositions towards people. It was imperative to know those things seeing as she was the leader of the unit. It was part of what she asked when Ecquis was brought into the fold. However, she didn't know much more than that. She'd never really thought to ask. She walked over to the red beauty and pet his head some more. She even scratched a little under his chin. "Hey buddy. I'm trying to help somebody. You wanna help to? Is that why you came? If so you're very kind for a wyvern. I definitely appreciate the support. Though I tend to do these things better on my own." "I suppose we can, I just tend to work better on my own in such situations. I appreciate the support, and certainly don't want to turn you away if you'd not want to leave." she said turning to the mage. She never really talked to him much, even when she was adding him to the unit. Terrin was nearly an enigma to her simply because she never thought much in consulting him. However unlike a lot of the folks he wasn't exactly that much of a misfit. Meredith mostly took the people that no one else in the Misguided Children was willing to give a chance. So... why did he end up with her? She couldn't help but wonder.
