Unless the MC was a un-memorable grunt with a mission that would have something to do with whatever outside Reborn is and everyone in Team Meteor had somehow forgotton them, I doubt they're a part of Team Meteor. It goes against what Captain America represents as a character, both in the Marvel universe and in real life, and it shouldn't be used as a positive example in any context.
