IceyBird
So I know how to play pokemon ofc... Lol I just need some help with my team I want to use Solrock because it's rock/psy but gravler is rock/ground which is good for electric.. And this (annoying) Noibat evolves at 48 and it's not really helping my team right now because its fragile.. Then this water type.. Lol Could I get some help on who to keep on my team and who not to? I Would like to keep: Charizard, Roseila, Ampharos Thanks
Veterans Zumi Posted September 25, 2016 Veterans Share Posted September 25, 2016 Mamoswine is absolutely amazing and I would 100% recommend training your Swinub for it! Also, once you're able to catch Zubat, do it because Crobat is broken and will help you a lot as well. Other than that, for a water type you could go for Sharpedo if you have a Carvanha (with speed boost of course). Other people may be able to help you with this better than I can, but I can definitely tell you that Crobat and Mamoswine have been immensely helpful in my run. Combat
I'm with Zumi on this one. Crobat is a bloody beast, especially for a certain gym battle. Some people swear by the Noibat family, but I've had limited success with them.
IceyBird
So if im correct later on in the game i'll be able to catch Corey's crobat and a sharpedo? Edited September 26, 2016 by IceyBird
Limit Seeker
Corey's Crobat is not released yet as far as I heard. I do know you can catch Zubat in Bysbyxson after you completed the red pillar puzzle. There should be hidden cave for that. Sharpedo can be gain from Aqua Gang second mission. Noivern will be good after you can get strong special move like air slash and dragon pulse and I heard you can get Flamethrower TM too. But for now, train him normally and dont expect much since its frailness and awful move early on.
TimTim
I see you have a Croagunk as well, Toxicroak is very versatile in a team as an offenser(it has access to nasty plot which is the special attack boosting move and its special movepool is great, it can function as physical pokemon as well, mixed attacker is even better in long run), plus its typing is unique as few of fighting types which is neutral to fairy
IceyBird
Ok so before hand I joined magma gang already..lol This is the team ill play through with on that note Since I'm going with croagunk do I really need roseila? or should I keep croagunk and get rid of the electric? AND I HAVE A GOLEM IN ROTATION (and maybe that noibat)
Jar-Kai Marek
If you're there, you should be somewhere around the Ghost guy or Poison girl. Gardevoir will be a somewhat important tool in some fights for the rotation with a Calm Mind + Draining Kiss tank at your disposal. I thought you could get a fairly useful Pokemon from the casino (Trapinch maybe), but either way those are 2 decent things.
Limit Seeker
I joined Aqua but I found Houndoor after 2nd mission so maybe you can try to look for carvanha after 2nd mission in Magma Gang. Keep Ampharos at least in rotation. That thing can help double batte against Aya the Poison Gym easily. Paralyze one side and focus on another one and you are good to go (works in every other double unless against ground and electric). Roselia can be strong Pokemon but with Croagunk you have no tank for Psychic type and Flying type if you remove Ampharos. Wait at least until you have access to Magnezone, Electross, or Luxray if you felt Ampharos is not your type. I agree Gardevoir with Jar-Kai Marek that Gardevoir can help you tank the dark type which your croagunk is the only switch in but it us still far to access it. You might also want to try Ghost type such as Cofagrigus for Physical wall or Mismagius for Destiny Bond for later since Gastly is gone in E15 as far as I know. Finally, Meowstic can help you deal with fighting type which can be only handled by your Charizard (Also Prankster dual screen ftw). These are some suggestions for rotation members. You are level 40 so you should go to Ghost gym I suppose.
IceyBird
Alright ill look for a decent water type and I just beat the psychic/fighting gym kiki something. And yeah ill see who needs fit and yeah. Edited September 26, 2016 by IceyBird
Taska
So there's a few things I'd like to say. Trapinch isn't available at the point in the game that he's at. It's not available at the casino anymore. Sharpedo isn't that good of a water type. It's only physical water attack available through level up is aqua jet, which sucks. I recommend getting Sharpedo if you want a dark type since it gets crunch which is really strong. I recommend sticking with Floatzel since it gets much better moves and in my opinion is a better pokemon. Once you get all your pokemon to around level 50 I recommend evolving Noibat into Noivern because it is a great pokemon with great moves. The only thing that sucks about it is that its best moves come rather late in the game by level up or by move relearner. You're quite close to getting the move relearner's key for her house and by the time you get to that point your pokemon will be at around level 50. So definitely just remember to use Noibat.
