Well Madame X gave me one hell of a fight where I had to cheat.... But I couldn't help but notice Madame X's battle theme changed, I think?

Iirc Madame X uses this music in her current battle. I can't remember what theme she used to have, if she actually had another one.

She used to have the cynthia champion battle remix at first, also done by glitchxcity. I actually wasn't aware myself that Jan changed it in a more recent version, as I might've not played it shortly enough to remember it.

To be honest I don't even remember myself if that is actually the music she has, I just found a file called "Boss Battle" in the audio folder and it happened to be that remix. I might just be totally wrong and it's still Cynthia

May I also know what the purpose of the Blade known as "Senketsuken" is?

Is it Significant to the story in any way? Or was it just put in the story because the name looks cool and Madame X needed something to go stabby mcmurderer all over

Spoiler

Yancy?

Yancy?

I don't actually remember but I think the mother's actual name is Nancy and is Yancy's daughter, I might be wrong as I only have vague memories of this.

About the sword, I might also be wrong on this too, but the name Senketsuken might be a reference to the Sword/Ability Zantetsuken from the Final Fantasy series, in which the character Odin (and in some cases other characters) uses the ability to pretty much instantly kill anything.

"Senketsuken" isn't relevant at all, seeing as, it was only used to kill your mother. This might seem big, but she kinda had the god of death flying next to her, so somebody wasn't going to make it out alive...

EDIT:

So did Jan forget about Melia being a Normal Pre-Leader? And her Togepi with "Alpha Metrenome". (Seeing as it's not on Togekiss' moveset)

I think the Alpha Metronome serves as a special move only now and not a battle move. Most likely Melia decided to stop pursuing the gym leader path and instead focus on moving to stop the enemy organizations.

That makes sense.

It just seems like Jan forgot about it all together, rather then making, or at least implying a reason these two things aren't relevant anymore.

Melia still knows the move exists and she still hasn't perfected it yet. She deems it too unreliable so she doesn't use it altogether. Plus, now that she's no longer interested in becoming a Gym Leader, that path of learning a new move for yourself probably isn't her biggest priority seeing at what the stakes are. We will see it again in the future, though.

It was actually. People thought it was a reference to Senketsu from Kill la Kill, but that's not the case.

Figured. Just seemed like you forgot about it by the way the story went on kind of just ignoring it after the Dimensional Rift Gyarados, thanks for the clarification.

After this post, I had to go back to that town and read the diary. I didn't even know it existed.

I ended up reading Kanon's diary as well.

And the end of the Diary leads up to Blacksteeple castle. It ties up. Obviously Melia went through a lot of changes in the span of a year. Same with Kanon.

(Terrible MC x Melia or Kanon x Melia shipping fanart in 3... 2... 1...)

(What have you done, Jan?)

It was required in pokemon reborn, and it ended up almost destroying a romantic relationship between lesbians.

Sufficient training in the art of not being cool.

well, it's a heavily one sided romantic relationship

wish there was a way to continue the story without reading the diary though tbh

We have our character Ren.

Ren. "Kylo" Ren.

One of my least favorite characters in rejuvenation (until he gets some character development) shares a name with one of the worst characters in Star Wars (after this guy, Jar Jar wasn't so Bad after all).

I find this... Fitting. Somehow.

so, i've been reading the forum and I just want to know something dumb, is version 9 out yet or not, because some of the talk makes it seem like people are already playing it. If it is out where do i get it? sorry if this seems dumb.

What was the reason they took her pokemon?

It isn't mentioned. Maybe they wanted her to have a more diverse team so she'd be less weak to Fighting types. Or maybe her new Pokemon were given to her specifically for their roles (like how she attempted to use Zoroark as a decoy). I think it'd be cool if it was the latter.

Well dang. But I hope you're right. Because right now her team can REALLY be capitalized on.  But if they have specific roles, it makes sense. I'll check out their dex entries later to see what they could possibly do.
