Then watch it get endeavored, countered, destiny bonded, subseeded,... there are many ways to deal with a threat that is stronger then you and the community will use them. To some players that fight is just impossible because Melia is very squishy and the Dragonite is just too strong without any decent dragon/fairy-type pokemon while the volcano makes rock and ice-type moves kinda useless against him. We're probably not seeing them in V9 due to the fact that Bladestar might most likely be the focus of the next version. There's still a chance though that they'll intervene in the plot.
