I'm using either one or the other depending on who I'm interacting with. Both only on special occasions.

Depends. Am I "laughing" on my native language or in English?

If it is in English, it will be something like HAHAHA(I pretty much can't use "lol" unironically). I'll most likely just tell the person that I laughed, because I am a boring person.

If it is Portuguese, though... It is going to be some abomination similar to "HUEHUEHEU" "AHUEIAHEIHASIESUHEIH" or "HAHUAHUAHUAHUA" in caps, more often than not.
