Swampellow
I've gotta ask, where are peopling getting that Unaware and Eviolite have been nerfed? Cause everywhere I'm looking is either saying that it is unconfirmed (Eviolite,Knock Off,Scald) or that the description of it has just been changed but still functions the same (Unaware). The only nerf that I can find that HAS been confirmed is burn, doing 1/16 instead of 1/8.

NickCrash
I would like someone to correct me here if I'm wrong, but as for Eviolite, I only found a buff, not a nerf: If it's a first stage pokemon from a two-stage family, or a second stage pokemon from a three-stage family, it still gets the X1.5 boost in Def and SpD If it's a first stage pokemon from a three-stage family, it gets a X2 boost in Def and SpD As for Rocky Helmet, what's the change? I found nothing @Commander. Did they change the Acc stats of the other status moves as well? I have yet to find something about this. To my knowledge the following are true till Gen6:T-wave -- 100% Acc Toxic -- 90% Acc Will-O-Wisp -- 85% Acc Powder Moves -- 75% Acc I believe a slighter nerf of 95% Acc would be more acceptable, even if it's such a spammable move. The majority of the playerbase is against low chance failures as luck changes the outcome of a match, thus reducing the input of skill. I still cannot stomache Gengar's nerf. I now know how Dota/LoL players feel.

Granted I understand WHY they did it(Consistency; Gengar has never been shown levitating in the games.)But it's still saddening.
Jmanultrax1
but gengar did levitate in the anime so it still made sense. so what are they going to say now that they changed it? he floats/flies

Btw -- 7 UB -- 7 sins could play the plot around that There are actually 11 UB's. The cover legendaries come from the UB world originally too. So do their pre-evo's. Granted the datamined UB's can for the most part be linked to the 7 sins. There's quite a few links there.

Gyaradoskiller
I'm honestly disappointed that all three starters ended up very slow (and to an extent, a a lot of the Alola mons), I hope this isn't gonna go too bad when Pokemon from other regions are able to be used in competitive. Phi-Bi
Massively huge story spoilers ahead! Please do NOT look if you don't want to get spoiled with the story. VERY VERY HUGE warning! Okay, I was already kinda expecting that there was something fishy about Aether, but I was NOT expecting what Lusamine did. It's one thing to control an extradimensional beast with eldritch attributes, but FUSING with said extradimensional entity?? Umm, wow. Mother Beast indeed. I was hoping we could've battled herself in that form, but yeah. That said, I do like the Ultra Beasts in general. Especially with the implications of their Ultra Wormholes with another major postgame-related story spoiler. I just recently heard S/M soundtrack and man..they're great, Pokemon music never disappoint me. PLOT SPOILER My favorite is Lusamine battle theme, man..it's the best Pokemon villain theme along with neo-Plasma Ghetsis. Also S/M plot has many similar aspect from a fan-game idea I'm working on since last year from pretending-to-be-good team to UB-human fusion, which is good actually. (Back when UB fist revealed, I instantly get an idea about how UB is Poke-alien and there will be human who wants to abuse it by fusing with them). Sigh....time to rework my idea again. Veterans Azeria Posted November 12, 2016 Veterans Share Posted November 12, 2016 Y'all can say Lusamine's track is godlike and I agree but like. Best battle theme goes to Guzma. Dude drops a mixtape on you like mmmmm.

Global Mods Ice Cream Sand Witch Posted November 12, 2016 Global Mods Share Posted November 12, 2016 Was wondering if someone who knows all the game text and events and such could answer a question. (contains some spoilers) Do we get to battle the trial captains? Everything Pokemon has shown us mentions doing the trials, but never directly battling the captains. I've also looked at the soundtrack but I don't believe I saw a trial captain battle theme, unless they just share a theme with kahunas or somesuch. I've also seen videos of kahuna and E4 battles but not captains. I know that Acerola is in the Elite Four and you can defend your Champion title from Sophacles, but do you also get to battle the other captains too, or just those two? IIRC the trial captain battles are completely optional. There's ones in post-game for them too, between Sophocles/Acerola in the league and the rest being bosses in the Battle Tree. Veterans Azeria Posted November 13, 2016 Veterans Share Posted November 13, 2016 Breeding/Ev Training Mechanics Spoiler(If that counts). http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/pokemon-sun-and-moon-full-game-datamine-general-discussion-thread.3586427/page-46 Check the bottom of the page. They made obtaining perfect pokemon so easy and convenient. All you need to breed for now is: Natures, Egg Moves and Hidden Powers. A fully improved Join Avenue+Passive training in the background that you can calculate and distribute to your liking. Perfection.
Jmanultrax1
wow they are really making competitive battling easier in this generation aren't they? I'm really impressed by how much they improved the mechanics from X&Y
Autumn Rain
I can't believe I just watched those leaking videos of Pokemon Sun and Moon. Spoilers regarding Type: Null. It's in picture because the video spoils the ending and post-game. EDIT: Wouldn't it be funny if Kyoko Kirigiri was in Pokemon? ANABEL! WHO IS THIS CHARACTER? Better wait for more info. NickCrash
I just realized how strong Dodrio became this generation. + 10 Speed + Swords Dance , Jump Kick Edit: Also Mantine + 20 HP + Roost
Wavesteel
Yeah Mantine is gonna be a top-tier Defogger in OU now. Dodrio might replace Talonflame as an offensive bird too.
NickCrash
That is not certain. However, I would like to encourage all to continue tier and metagame discussion here as it would be more appropriate. We will be expecting drastic changes in the tiers come December, yet November just came in with some surprizing results. In my opinion Dodrio will rise up to UU and stay there, as Staraptor can do things better up in OU As for Mantine, I'm not sure how strong it will be in OU, but if it reaches there, it will be nicely paired with its physical cousin, Skarmory.
