BriGoddess
So Im a bit new to this, but my Pokemon Reborn lags terribly. Some days its on point no issues and then I walk into a new area on the game and boom lagging to hell. Do we get penalized for using that Cheat Engine thing to speed up the game? Or is there a better alternative to using that to help with the lag? I dont even know how to use Cheat Engine I just typed in "Pokemon Reborn FPS fixes" and a forum mentioned that. Tartar
How many FPS are you getting if you use a FPS counter like Fraps? Games made in Pokémon Essentials are inherently slightly slower than official Pokémon games, sadly. Personally I do use CE to speed up the game to 1.3 speed due to finding that providing a better experience. BriGoddess
Im literaly just now in the tutorial trying to learn how to do that, and I've no clue what my FPS is im gonna have to get fraps to check but it honestly feels way lower than average because of how smooth my game sometimes runs. If you want to, consider the solution Tartar provided. For me x2 speed seems to be the best. It was mentioned on the other thread that using CE to speed up game will not get your save flagged (aka no penalty) as of right now. It might change when online trade / battle is implemented though Edited November 3, 2016 by thedeath245
Alistair
Keep in mind than certain weathers in game (namely windy, rainy or thunderstorm) may increase the lag. You can change the date on your computer in order to keep a perpetually nice weather if you want (of course this will affect a number of events, but you can just change it back when needed).
