Myrdwyn rushed forward without an audible word - though the people nearby might have been able to hear some mostly-indistinct muttering under Myrdwyn's breath as she fumbled at the key she'd taken, jamming it into the door.

Belros keeps moving forward. The faster he gets everyone's gear back the better. A huge enemy assault right now would not be good.

Upon opening the door, Myrdwyn was greeted by a familiar wyvern running into her. Inside the room, a horse and pegasus could be seen, though they didn't stay inside for too long with the door now open.

With all the guards immediately around them dead and the doors and chests being opened at a decently steady pace, Cadence had found she honestly had nothing to do through the whole affair aside from stand there with the same jaded expression on her mug as when this whole mess had began in the upperclass sector of the city. She looked down at the ratty, absolutely shoddy blade she carried about as loosely as possible in her gimped hand- she had little faith that even if there was someway for her to actually contribute to holding off the guards while the others got their property, it would honestly do fuck all in the long run, compared to how easily myrd and the others seemed to be handling it. 

     In all honesty, if it wasn't one of the only weapons they had available, she would've dropped the damn thing right then and there and forgotten about it. Luckily for her however, she wouldn't need to be saddled with the fate of forever holding this peice of used and abused shite as she stood back and watched as she continued to be utterly useless in grand scheme of their escape, despite in all honesty being the major cause for them getting into this god forsaken situation to begin with.

 

The captain was right there behind her.... hell, even with his relatively unimpressive track record in battle, from what she could recall of the engagements thus far, he'd still probably be more useful with the blade than she was right now. No point keeping the damn thing...

"Here, sir" she said, taking the thing just below where the blade and handle met and presenting it to Madante, grip first "Not like it's much use to me... perhaps you'll be able to contribute something instead."

 

It might've been a jab, from the general tone in her voice. or it might've simply been the growing disdain for how this all played out in general. Either way, she held the weapon out for the man to take, looking at him expectantly.

 

Trade the Shoddy Sword to Madante, goddess knows he'll be more useful with it than I will.

"Ecquis! You're okay! Come here you big dumb bastard, how dare you let yourself get separated from me? You're gonna be in so much trouble for that, ya know?" Despite her words, the woman's tone was nothing but affectionate as the wyvern moved up to her. She immediately began checking the flying beast over for wounds while reaching her hand over to scratch his favorite spot, on his neck just behind his head. The wyvern himself seemed rather pleased to see her, though true to character he didn't react much beyond nuzzling her once, hard enough that it would have knocked most people over.

For all his bluster, the soldier had been so loud when he'd charged at him that Idei would think he was more intent on putting on a farce than making a true attempt to injure him. How can a man who fights like that hope to become a skilled warrior? If he were a hunter, he would have alerted all the prey within five miles to his presence. Avoiding his strike takes little effort, and he can only give the man an unimpressed look as he laments his luck under his breath, not realizing it had nothing to do with luck at all.

 

But before he can take a few steps back and ready his bow, the flash of an axe puts a brutal end to the man, and Idei turns to see the girl who had helped him. "Thank you," he says simply, giving a nod of acknowledgement. 

 

Just then, the sound of a shrill whinny draws his attention, and his feet are moving before he's conscious of it. A flash of dappled grey bursts from the newly opened doorway! There! "Kite!"

 

With a scream, the stallion rears, kicking out with his front hooves, both wild with relief to be freed and fiercely angry at having been imprisoned. Thankfully, the guards had left the reins and saddle on him ( likely finding it to be far too much danger to try and take them off ), and Idei is able to reach out and grab hold of the reins before Kite can tear off and injure himself or someone else. "Kite, it is me. Shh . . . calm."

 

Pivoting, the stallion snaps out at him, and Idei sucks in a breath as teeth clip the side of his hand. Quickly, he redirects the pressure on the reins to a gentle, indirect pull, turning Kite in a small circle. With his other hand, he strokes at the disheveled mane, rubbing circles beneath his ears. Above all, stay calm yourself. Horses are social creatures, and your fear and frustration will make it feel the same. Steadying his breathing, he keeps his grip firm but gentle as Kite tosses his head and shies back and forth, until finally the stallion's ears rise from where they're pinned back to his skull, and his snorting becomes less agitated.

 

"You testy creature," Idei mutters softly, feeling his own heart beat slow. "Without you, I am nothing. And without me, you are frightened. Admit it." He gives Kite's neck another long pat before moving to his side, the stallion following him with his eyes. "Will you let me on?" He places a foot in the stirrup and presses some of his weight forward. When there is little protest, he pushes up, hovering there. Kite shifts to adjust his balance again, and Idei, sensing that he's settled down, slowly swings his other leg over, bow resting against his leg. He feels like himself again.

 

Move to O22 and remoooounntt!

"BEAU!!!" Rayne shouted upon seeing that stubborn bum of a horse. She ran towards him, full tilt, probably threatening to flatten anybody that stood in the way between her and her reunion with her friend. Beau snorted at the the sight. Though he was also looking about the crowd of people near by. Seemed most of the gang was still here. That was good. He noticed a new face amoungst them though. He snorted as if to say "Where on the bloody earth do you keep findin' all these people?" He walked past them slowly, stopping to give an icy glare to Belros.

Rayne finally met him and collided with him arms as wide as they could go. They wrapped around his neck in a loving embrace, though, one that threatened his ability to breath ever so slightly. She was rather strong despite her tiny frame, and no one knew it better than Beau. "l'm so glad you're safe." she said running her fingers through that flowing mane. Beau just lightly snorted, blowing the her hair out of her face. He laid his head on her gently. "Me too girlie."

Move to O-20, have heartfelt reunion. ((then remount.))

Darius observed the reunions with both a light smile and a tinge of jealousy. He never did have any real companions, bar the elder spirits and, technically, his teacher, before he got abandoned by him, anyway. And, well, the spirits are not exactly what you would call something you'd want to have as a companion for day-to-day things. Shaking his head a bit, he steps forward and looks down the corridor where he notices a pair of guards in the dim torchlight. Pulling out his tattered tome, he steps out, a bit further up the corridor than everyone else and observes the actions of the guards, ready to fight back or even press the attack forward, if needed.

 

Move to L21.

"Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, see everything ended up great!" Cass trotted over to see everyone reunited with their mounts. Now that he had his guitar and stuff back, though, he didn't have a need for the key he was holding on to. He looked over to Rayne. "Heya Rayne, it's time for me to repay ya for my guitar. Take this key and go find your stuff." He said, throwing her the key. His guitar was all rearing to go. He grinned, stroking the chords as loud as he could. If there was anyone who hasn't heard them in the dungeon before that moment, now they definitely have.

 

"Heh...a bit too loud, maybe. Whoops?"

 

Move to O21, trade Chest Key to Rayne, Bard Idei and Bel

The sudden strum of electric chords startles Kite, and he rears up with a high whinny. "Ah--!" Grabbing hold of the reins, Idei manages to hold on and calm the stallion back down, though Kite whisks his bushy tail once, temperamentally, in Cass' face in retaliation.

 

"Good to hear that again," Idei remarks with a hint of a smile before spurring his mount into a canter.

 

Move to R25 and open Chest.

Rayne caught the key, one might surprised at this with how often she seemed to be spaced out. She smiled at Cass and frowned at... who was he again? as he spoke up. She figured it was some attempt at humour, but she didn't think it hit the mark. She quickly followed after, key in hand hoping to find her gear, but more importantly her vast amounts of sewing goods.

She stopped dead in her tracks as she saw her gear in one of the chest one of their allies had just cracked open. "Quickly! Give that stuff here! And please... don't drop or lose any of the needles. They were my mother's." a concerned look came over her face, clearly the implements she mentioned much more valuable to her than the weaponry.

Move to Q-25, Trade Chest Key to ldei in exchange for many spears and a comical amount of tailoring supplies.

"Ah?" 

 

The sound of a voice behind him causes Idei to turn around to see the pegasus knight, and he looks down at the contents of the treasure chest he'd opened. So these belonged to her, then. He'd been wondering about the sewing materials, and had thought that they'd gotten mixed in with the confiscated weapons. 

 

Seeing the concerned look on her face, he handles the equipment with care as he hands it over to her. One by one, they're arming themselves again, and would hopefully be able to better withstand whatever awaits them than they had before. He doesn't think they'll be getting a third chance, should they fail again.

 

In exchange, he takes the new chest key off Rayne's hands. "There's only one thing to do with this," he remarks to himself, giving Kite's reins a pull to circle him around to Rayne's other side, drawing up beside Belros with a clatter of hooves on the stone floor.

 

"Belros." Kite snorts as he slows to another stop, impatient with what he sees as dawdling. He's eager to bolt out of these barred confines and narrow hallways, and it's in every restless stamp of hooves and twitch of his muscles. "My weapons," he says, indicating the contents of the other's chest as he opens the last one. "Carefully. Kite may bite."

 

Move to P-26, trade Belros for inventory, and open Chest.

Opening the chest, Idei finds another set of lances, albeit with significantly less spears. Having obtained his own equipment back, Idei hands the lances and his worn iron bow to Belros for storage.

"Ah yes, you'll be needing these." He carefully handed Idei's bows back to him while also simultaneously taking the lances he acquired from the chest. Though he kept the worn iron bow for himself.  "I think I'll hold onto this, having a near broken weapon is better than having no weapon at all." With that he headed out the room. 

 

On his way out he noticed a certain wyvern rider. With her weapons in his possession he might as well hand it off to her on his way out.  "Hey, Myrdwyn, I think you'll appreciate these." He spoke before tossing her lances back to her.
