LucidRain
Ah... also question: Does the entire party not move until everyone has moved? Do players in separate zones have separate move schedules? P.S. Added description to character whilst waiting approval. The edited character is below: Name: Blackflame VisriiAge: 24Gender: MaleRace: HumanSex: MaleClass: Battlemage Appearance:"All those nobles with superficial clothing is simply asking for a dagger through their beloved dress." With medium, bleeding-red hair, Visrii is of a light build and is quite shorter than most other humans. His face looks feminine, and some may mistake his gender. However, such recognition is often buried under his scars and serious look on his face. His eyes are a sharp, piercing hazel, though when he is angry it will flash red. His skin is light, like most others, but his arms are most often covered in red scars and blood stains as a result of him bursting his capillaries whenever he overcharges his magic attacks, which is very often. Despite many warnings not to strain himself in battle, he seemingly does not care for such restraint. His default clothing is his leather armour and brown cloak, upon which a rune faintly glows in the dark. It has the standard mercenary crest on his armor, which displays a vanguard banner. In infiltration and stealth missions, he takes off his cloak and replaces his armour with a tight-fitting leather armour with an inherent enchantment that darkens the area around the wearer. Personality:"Visrii has the eyes of a man who knows that he is in utter fate to corrode and die under the weight of his own heroism." A rather serious snarker, Visrii holds is duty to the utmost importance. He will forgo risks and losses to reach his ends, and all else is simply a luxury. He will hold each and every one of his accomplices in a very critical manner, and if they seem to fit his scrutiny he will slowly 'warm up'. However, it seems that he swore himself into solidarity and never looked for any relationships, for he knows that he will eventually have to put his adherence to duty first. In exchange for his outright hostile attitude towards many people and disregard for formalities and diplomacy, he is incredibly perceptive. With several years' worth of experience beyond his age, his tactical mind is highly feared and cursed in Stravaga. Backstory:"Visrii is vengeance, raw and unbroken. He will beget no mercy and bow down to no-one." Despite his confidence, Visrii is a extremely conflicted person. His family was a Watcher of Fire, guardians of the Sacred Flame in Kyosis, a source of all life in Stravaga. When his family turned away from the Flame and committed unspeakable acts, the flame turned Profane. Visrii murdered his family in a desperate attempt to reverse their actions, but lost faith realising that such a Sin cannot be reversed. He escapes his privilleged life, hunted down as a traitor and murderer. Now he works as a small-time sellsword working for trade caravans, saying nothing about who he was and what he had done. Level: 3 EXP: 0 HP: 45 Init: 15 + d20 Stats: Constitution: 2 Resistance: 1+4 Dexterity: 9+1 Intelligence: 0 Strength: 3 Synergy: 7+1 Complexity: ? Equipment: Name: Ignis (Equipped) Description: A small and easily concealable wooden club with some flexible metal spikes sticking out of the end with what appears to be a piece of string hanging from both spikes. A discreet and somber hand crossbow painted completely grey, it sometimes emits several sparks of lightning Type: Weapon Minimum Stats: 2 Str, 4 Syn Weight: 2 Damage: 2d3+Dex Special qualities: Explosive bolts: The crossbow rapidly fires several explosive silver bolts using what may or may not be a very misguided attempt at creating a railgun, the weapon's damage is treated as being both Fire and Piercing damage for overcoming damage resistance Rapid Reload: The weapon has a Syn*2 chance of attacking two different targets or attacking the same target twice as the weapon borrows some of the user's magical potential to reload and fire itself twice. (6 SYN) Legacy weapon: The weapon starts to return to it's former glory once more by drawing upon it's wielder's magic, the weapon now deals 2d4+Dex damage Name: Duty (Unequipped) Description: Staff-halberd hybrid, Visrii's signature weapon. Its unique battle style often catches enemies off guard as it incorporates both magic and melee attacks in its assault. However, though its fluid movements grant intense versatility and power, the weapon also demands very high dexterity and synergy in order to properly use it to full effect. When used with the Watcher's fire infusions, the weapon generates an intense fire on lightning effect, a truly intimidating scene for any foes of its wielder. This weapon is unique to Visrii, and no other battle staff of such kind has ever been witnessed. Type: Weapon Damage: 2d4 + SYN/DEX (Lightning for SYN) Minimum Stats: 2 STR and 4 SYN STR Penalty: 2 SYN Threshold/Bonus: 5 SYN [+1 RES], 10 SYN [+2 DEX], 20 SYN [+3 RES] Special Attributes: Bound - This equipment is bound to this character's abilities in some way. It cannot be permanently lost, but cannot be upgraded outside of special circumstances. Fading Embers - Grants access to ability - Weapon Art 'Thunder Strike' after acquiring 6 DEX and 6 SYN Name: Watcher Armour Description: A customised version of the Fire Watchers armour, it sports a large faded banner of the Watchers. The Watchers' banner animal, the Phoenix, is a symbol of bravery and resilience in Stravaga. However, no-one has seen a phoenix since the Nightmare era, and thus its nature is put to mystery. Its usually heavier protective plates seems to have been removed, replaced with much lighter and concealable leather armor. It seems as if the user did not care to protect himself, only to down the others before they can reach him. Type: Armour Armour: 2 RES Minimum Stats: 2 STR STR Penalty: 2 Special Attribute: Aegis Rune - Increase RES by 1 point every 2 levels. Name: Enchanted Robe (crafted) Description: Visrii's robe that he enchanted. Though tattered and discoloured, the etchings on it still remain. Type: Bauble Minimum Stats: 1 STR, 5 SYN Weight: 1 SYN Bonus: For every 5 syn after the initial requirement, RES increases by 1. Special Effects: Warded: +1 RES. Name: Aria of Kaviline Description: Visrii's necklace, given to him during his days as a Watcher. Its usually green gemstone seems to have been turned red with darker red veins through it. The rare few who have seen Visrii wearing this necklace has speculated that the redness comes from the blood of Visrii's kin. Though Visrii has always insisted on not getting attached to anything or anyone, it seems that he still needs some sort of connection to his past, lest he go hollow and insane. Type: Bauble Weight: 2 STR Special Qualities: SYN Bonus: 5 SYN [+1 DEX], 10 SYN [+2 DEX], 15 SYN [+3 DEX] Bound - This equipment is bound to this character's abilities in some way. It cannot be permanently lost, but cannot be upgraded outside of special circumstances. Ascendant Power - Increase SYN by 1 point every 2 levels. Perks: Flare Like Fire - Visrii, the last Watcher, has coveted the power of the Flame and earned his title as a relentless attacker (Count total damage current turn and deal 50% next turn. Damage type is dictated by weapon type. This bonus attack does not stack to next turn.)Burn Like Embers - Visrii's cumulative training makes him strike first and ask questions later (+2 INIT every level)Burst Like Lightning - Visrii's high momentum grants him the ability to predict enemy attacks and dodge their attacks (Grant passive (INIT)% dodge chance)Fade Like Ash - Visrii's connection to a fading fire slowly saps his life energy, allowing him to be more open for attacks. (Take 15% more damage from enemy attacks) Actions: Basic Attack (Bolt)- Visrii charges his staff and fires off a simple bolt from his crystal. Basic Defence (Deflect)- Visrii deflects the impact away from himself with his weapon, reducing half the damage taken. Parry - Predict enemy attack and perform a parry. Select an enemy and gain a Parry counter until the end of enemy's next turn. If they perform a melee attack, trigger the parry counter, take no damage from enemy attack and retaliate with a basic attack in return. 1 turn cooldown. Opportunistic - The retaliation attack is a guaranteed critical strike. Power Surge - Summon a surge of strength within, allowing the user to fight with more vigor. Add SYN/2 to DEX and RES for 2 turns with a 4 turn cooldown. Sustained Power (Lvl 2) - Additionally increase INIT by SYN/2 for the rest of the fight. Pin Strike - Strike fast and hard against the enemy weak points before they can react. Deal basic damage with a bonus (INIT/2)% chance to critical attack, dealing double damage. 1 turn cooldown. Wrath of the Profaned - Channel the power of the Flame. Light the weapon in fire and execute 5 rapid attacks against a single enemy, dealing 0.5(DEX+SYN) damage each hit. Can only be used once per battle, leaves user exhausted afterwards, forcing a recovery turn. Wrath - Increase damage of strikes to 0.75(DEX+SYN) Tactical Precision (Passive) - Visrii's attacks are designed to attack weaknesses in enemy armour, granting innate (INIT/3)% chance to land a critical attack, dealing double damage. Feedback (Lvl 2) - Successful critical attack will further increase INIT by DEX/2. Thunder Strike (Weapon Art) - Charge the halberd blade of the weapon and strike down upon foes with a lightning infused attack, dealing 2d4+(DEX+SYN). 2 turn cooldown Inventory: 4*Float String, for slowing down free falls in emergency escapes. 3*Throwing Knives, for striking first and asking later. 1*Kukri, for non combat uses. 5*Comm Crystals, to communicate with Wyvis, Wolfe, Lukas and 2 others. 12*Assorted Trap Crystals, to use in various different circumstances. 3*Ash Pouches, to store his weapons and armour in the form of ash. 2*Packs of Food, dried and salted to preserve longevity. 1*Weapon Maintenance Kit, for sharpening, cleaning and repairing. 1*Set of infiltration armour (stats identical with normal set) A number of other things stuck away in deep corners of his many pockets. Strider
So, yeah, Mr. PassingThrough. Basically in battle, everyone has to put in their moves before Murdoc puts up the turn. There's not a real schedule (the last turn took two days) and basically if it's going to slowly people get pm'd or reminded on the discord. For general movement like moving to a new location outside of battle, I'm less sure how that works.
Yours Truly
Well it is a freeform RP, and the GM has mentioned something about having differrent smaller plot lines existing; so yeah do whatever your character would do in your surroundings; punch that glowing barrier! Wander blindly into that cave! But just don't bunny or god mod anyone else's character, and try not to reach a full Henderson when the time comes. Edit: Also did any of the character gain any EXP from the battle Murdoc? I'm just asking for clarification.
