To the man:"Well, I'm willing to go with you for now. There will be some form of sustenance, I hope? And I feel entitled to a more complete explanation of our circumstances when we arrive," he stated with a terse chuckle.

"So Alexandria. Are you from a human world? I was under the impression that you were either not from earth, or were so far removed through the ages that none would remember Homer."

Snow, The Lady Ashford

"Inner Darkness? I'm afraid you have the wrong Avatar for that. You'd want Null. She doesn't exactly get along with people though so you'd best be glad she isn't here. But I shall play along for now. THese Heartless seem a lot like the "Scales of Faceless One". Dark entites that were more or less mindless puppets controlled by The Faceless Dragon. They certianly aren't anything to take lightly. If you've fought them off before I have a hard time believing this is why we were pulled here. You'd be able to handle yourselves. SO what is it you can't fight?"

"Alright well this makes things easier now don't it." At least now they won't be bickering about wether they should head to town on a floating book or a dragon. Everyone here seems to be a master of going on tangents. He turned his attention towards Snow. "Hey Cupcake, the man just said we'll discuss everything when we arrive at their base. Presumably over a couple of drinks?" Honestly he was more interested in the drinks rather then the reason why they're here. But I guess it would be useful to know why they're after.

"I came into being on a planet colonized by humanity. I actually served as its Senator to the local interstellar government for ten years, a very long time ago," Alexandria shares, "Homer had been dead for over four thousand years by then, but his works did survive until they could be transcribed into books and passed down."

"These 'heartless' could be dangerous, but information on any unusual threats would also be of great value. There is nothing to prevent us from being attacked on the way to his camp and the promised explanations."

"I can hear Daisy Dukes.... We're not here to shoot the shit pardner! Drinks are a waste of time. The sooner we finish whatever mission we're here for the faster we get back to our worlds. I don't exactly have time to faff around shootin' the shit. "

Izumi Kurosawa

"I'm fine with drinks, especially if there's whiskey."

She glances back at Frosty.

"And for the record I can drink on the move. I don't think this will be a quick job though, there's too many people, and too much firepower for that."

The grey cloaked man notices the whiskey lady's comment.

"Oh, there's another one... Um, may I ask for your name? It seems that it has been raining men and women around here"

"Well I don't know about the rest of you, but human villages equals human food; which usually contains meat, and perhaps the village has walls? It might be safer inside a stone building than outside in an empty field"

"Hah, tell me about it. The name's Izumi Kurosawa. Civil Security. I don't believe I know yours either."
Another shifty fellow. With a smile as plastic as that, I'm already reaching for my gun. Between him and Frosty over there, I'm not sure who I trust less.
She offers him a handshake.

"My name is Leon." He glares at Solomon. "Give me a second. In case you didn't notice, there's like twenty of you, I can't answer every question at once. As far as drinks go, Cid's got a stash somewhere, if you can pry it from his cold, dead hands. We've got food, too.

You're right that we normally don't have a problem with these things. There aren't usually this many, though. Here, this'll be easier to explain back in town where we're not worried about more Heartless showing up. Are you gonna follow me back, or what?"

The grey cloaked man shakes the whisky woman's hand; he grips it firmly, as if daring the woman to question his honesty.

"My name is Solomon; I guess the correct term for my job would be... Mad Scientist, I have always liked the implications of that title, it leaves people questioning the sanity of the man with said job."

The grey cloaked man turna to face the shaggy man.

"Oh right, sorry about that; it's kind of hard to not get excited when meeting somebody who seems to hold all of the answers, so this place is called the hollow bastion eh? I guess there's a rich and detailed story behind that name that you won't tell us on the way to the village because you're just sick and tired of all these damn monsters eating your damn people".

(It's black framed glasses, not black lensed glasses; think of your average corrective eye glasses, I can see why your character would think that his smile was fake though).

Snow, The Lady Ashford.

"Well then... Let's get movin' had enough faffin' around in this place to last several mortal lifetimes. And killing something be nice right about now. Least let me unleash some of these nerves. I wish i could get headaches... be easier to be honest, cause then I'd have some way of knowing just how annoyed I am. Introductions are unnecessary. I will let the Fangs do my talkin' I'm sure that's enough." she said shifting the blades in her hands. Their frost seemingly crackling in response to her words as if excited.

"Oh... my..." If Magna had eyes, they would have narrowed in on Kagari. Instead, the glow of her eyes narrowed to the same effect. Although she was still gloved, she could see and feel the texture of Kagari's hand change into something different entirely. It seems that she wasn't the only one trying to masquerade as a human being. "That is quite... something."

There were so many newcomers in this area alone, it was difficult to keep track of who was where. At least, some were moving to the next area. She didn't know what spurred everyone in motion so suddenly, but she supposed it was a good thing.

"Everyone else seems to be moving on. For the time being, we can get you acquainted with our other ally, Hellfire Knight." she suggested. Magna turned to head over to H.K., assuming that Kagari would follow. "Hey H.K., I found us a new friend! Come and say hello~"

Jesse

"Finally.." Jesse sighed, picking up his snipping rifle and gets a move on. "Yes having a place to stay for the night would be nice, thank you for your hospitality kind stranger." Jesse said politely with a warm smile to Leon. "I'll watch from the back side just in case those 'heartless' things show up" The angel said, scouting the area.

The cloaked figure glanced between Magna and Kagari, and then stumped over somewhat reluctantly; it was fairly clear that whoever was under the cloak had some measure of difficulty walking. "Hello again," she greeted the idol(?). "You are also working with Magna?" The figure shifted its head toward Leon. "We should follow the rest."

Izumi Kurosawa

He's got that right at least.

"These, Heartless, is there anything we need to know about them? Because looked like they popped out of thin air for us, and then some beasts joined them. If there's a way to know where they might pop up, I'd like to know it."

She slowly brandishes her Procyon, taking care to show that the safety was off.

"My gun seems to only maim and not kill. But the same went for the beasts and the others don't seem to have that issue. Don't suppose you know why?"

Venus

An earring that can talk? Did it truly do so, or was this lad simply deluded? It moved, at least, so perhaps it wasn't entirely derisible.

"...A pleasure to meet your friend, then, Katsuo." Curiosity nibbled his mind for a moment on how the boy's earring worked; Venus' interests spanned wide into technology as much as it did art, for his was a craft that was perhaps as signature as Venus' own. "Does it really talk, though? Elaborate your earring to me, if you may?"

The grey cloaked man clambers onto his platform and takes his seat; he imagines a black helicopter, and the platform shifts as the back of it is raised slightly.

"Flight systems seems to be working well enough, I wonder if I can get some weapons on this thing."

The grey cloaked man and his aerial platform moves towards the village that Leon had mentioned.

The grey cloaked man thought

'I wonder, why wasn't he surprised by the sight of a giant dragon? And why did he ram his revolver into a sword's blade, what a strange man.'

Katsuo

"Well, she can talk." Katsuo explained, "But she refuses to, so I mostly just guess at what she's thinking. I've gotten used to her so I can guess pretty accurately. Or something like that."

Gwaedu spun a few times.

"She says supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." Katsuo translated, rolling his eyes.

Noticing the newest of the newcomers to the group, Katsuo pointed them out to Venus.

"I think we're moving finally."

Venus

Venus raised an eyebrow, unseen from beneath his mask, at the young boy's "translation" of a word with too much syllables even for the artist's own logolepsy. But Katsuo was right -- the group already began to move, and the two would be late if they didn't follow suit.

"Right you are," He said, gesturing a hand toward their direction as well. "I'd hate for us to be late as well, so I'd agree that we should follow. Shall we?"

Visrii

A cloaked man slowly followed the strange group from afar, wary of anyone in this strange new world. One minute, he was plodding along, slaying bandits and crooks as he always did, the next he was clobbered in some Sun-knows-where place because some random needed help.

The world looked much like his own, but its inhabitants were peculiar beyond his musings. Metal golems who can talk, people carrying shiny sticks that seemed to explode at one end, this was too bizarre for comfort. Neither did he miss a chance to scowl at anyone who tried to talk to him in ordinary circumstances.

Then again, they looked competent enough and he wasn't confident in any other inhabitants of this land anyway; he just needed to know if they were friendly or hostile. And so he stalked on, watching the party's every move, his staff crackling gently on his back.

Hmm, something's not right. Jesse thought to himself as he suddenly heard strange noises from afar, another poltergeist perhaps? The angel stays at the back and points his rifle at the woods and observes his surroundings. He's a sniper after all and keeping a sharp look out to the environment is part of his job. He tightly grips his riffle and continues to get moving, wary of who or what's following them.

Visrii stopped. Shit. From his point he could see one of the members of the party had slowed down to match his pace. Yes, the man with the shiny stick and weird ring on his head. His hand moved toward his staff, now crackling silently but dangerously underneath his cloak. He had to be more careful - they were obviously no fools, and this particular blonde individual was perceptive.

Visrii quickly moved off the path and slowed down his movements. Need to be more careful, friendly or not.
