"I am Alexandria, and despite the unusual circumstances it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Magus," Alexandria inclines her head slightly in Visrii's direction, as the hard-light barrier falls apart into countless tiny hexagons that vanish as they hit the floor. "I find mages usually have fascinating views on reality, far different from my own."

Visrii watched in interest as the hexagon disappeared. Huh, so even that arcane barrier wasn't in his own understanding. "Tell me about it. Then again, I myself won't be the best individual to lecture or give opinions about."

"Well, I must excuse myself, Alexandria, I need to catch up with some of the other members in our party. I've also got an apology to make to Ms White Being, but thanks for that lecture, though. I'll probably need it for later." And with a nod, he left the shop, back into the streets that lay before him.

Edmond sat calmly, presumably at the appointed meeting place, reading his book. He delicately turned the tenth page, careful not to cause any damage.

((Can you be a little more careful to explain your positions? See, Solomon went to the shop to get potions, and met Visrii there, I think. However, you continued to talk to Edmond, and Alexandria is now reading over Edmond's shoulder without stating that she returned to the rendezvous building. Just be more careful about this in the future.))

Meanwhile; the grey cloaked man had been busy grabbing whatever he thought he would need for his journey, he had eight strips of smoked beef, two sausages of questionable origin, one hundred grams of dried peas, a biscuit shaped brick made of flour and salt, a single loaf of brown bread, two whole carrots, a small canteen filled with water, a grey bag to carry it all in, and two bottles of beer, for use as a potential makeshift weapon, disinfectant, and to drink if the water ever runs out; after obtaining said supplies he walked back to where he last saw the engineer.

Tick

Tock

The shop owner watched the clock

Tick

Tock

He turned back to the bloody chopping block.

-----------------------

Aurora made certain to stay further hidden this time, as the unmistakable scent of meat hit her, drew her in like a moth to a flame. There it was, just across the way, a butcher. The blood on his smock and cleaver in his hand was all she needed to be sure. But it seemed that while chopped and prepared flesh was the man's specialty, he sold a myriad of other edibles too; bread, wine, jerky, cheese, luxuries like chocolate too... interesting. The one's back home, at least the ones she'd observed before raiding the place when they were asleep that next night, had never thought to expand beyond their primary good.

The sign outside the place was faded, but it seemed to be close enough to Common for her to make out "Jason's Butcher & Deli". Jason sounded like a name fitting of a fleshbag, Butcher indeed confirmed her suspicions, but she didn't know what the hell a 'Deli' could be. But that wasn't important. The food lining his shelves was. But she wasn't going to risk repeating the incident with the fire rod girl. She unveiled her wrists from the sleeves of her robes, aiming one of the spinnerets just ever so carefully, focusing on the target.

One strand flying out unseen, one tug, one decorative vase falling off the shelf over the shopkeep's head. The man cursed loudly enough for Aurora to hear him from the shadows, clutching at the newly bleeding gash in his head left by the shattered ceramic, fallen to the floor from the sheer surprise of impact. The spider cackled at her success as he picked himself up and stumbled through the door behind the counter, his own blood beginning to mingle on his smock with that of slabs he'd been slicing. She didn't move a muscle till she was sure he'd be in for a while, and finally made her strike, firing even more strings into the shop, reeling in several articles of food; Jerky, bread, cheese. She had to leave the steaks and other choice cuts though, there was no real way she could get past their case without entering the shop and potentially causing him to investigate despite his injury. Plus she could sense even from her the aura of cold radiating off whatever machinery he used to preserve them so perfectly.

The whole heist took less than a full minute, with her reflexes and speed with her silk. By the end she'd nabbed a good 3 or 4 loaves of various types of breads, a goodly amount of the sealed bags containing the homemade jerky and enough wedges of the dairy stuff last for all 4 loaves of the bread. By the time the man reemerged from the back several minutes later, a bandage on his head and an ice pack too, Aurora had already woven a thick silken sack and shoved the pilfered materials inside, before dashing off through the shadows and away from the scene. It was time to find the strangers, she was getting bored exploring this drab place.

Meanwhile, all the man could do was look around, not really sure why something felt off... till he saw the misssing places on the shelves.

He knew immediately he had been had. But... by who? Heartless cared nothing about food, it had to have been a human. But who? Who could've been so silent and swift? Who among their community was secretly such a...

smooth criminal?

4 Loaves added

Snow, the Lady Ashford.

"My apologies then, one could never be too certain~" Male, female, did it really matter? Perhaps Magna found that gender mattered less to her, especially since she didn't have any organic aspect to her for the distinction to matter.

"Both, either, or neither!" Magna beamed. She was a respectable distance from Snow, but she still couldn't see anything regarding her appearance. Odd. "Though, may I have your name first?"

"Hmmm." Snow thought to herself for a moment. She wasn't sure giving away her name was all that smart a move. But... when she said it to Leon and the others in the room, none seem to have a reaction. At least not the one she'd have expected. She had gotten so used to what happened in Graterras that she didn't really fathom that these people could've never even heard of her legend... or of Aelia. Further, whether she liked it or not they were already caught up in this.

Her not saying her name wouldn't keep anyone from harm this time. Perhaps it was more of a detriment, it was hard to trust one that wouldn't even give you their name. Normally, that was a good thing. Snow didn't want some random townperson following her trying to help on her missions. They were always dangerous. After all, she was only a great hero. You didn't exactly send the avatar of a goddess after a bunch of kobolds. However, her natural tendencies might be more harmful in this scenario than she'd have guessed. What was it that the strange entity was always "talking" about? Unit cohesion. Perhaps she was unwittingly being a detriment to it. It'd been awhile since she actually worked with a group... the last time it was one of this size, she was still human.

"Snow, The Lady Ashford." she said extended her hand up wards. She remained seated for now.

"Do you a-act at all? Or just sing?"

"S-Some of both. Mostly singing, but a b-bit of acting too. I play the female lead on o-one show. Another actor from the a-agency plays the protagonist. The agency is c-called Fortuna Entertainment."

"Hikari, you're getting nervous again. Calm."

"Not to seem unfriendly, but do forgive me, as I don't do handshakes. I'm a bit of a germophobe, see," Magna said, as she pointed to her gloved hand. "But nevertheless, it is a pleasure to meet you, Snow."

Magna surveyed the area around her to see if anyone was listening nearby, while making it seem like she was just stretching. "Though, I'm curious as to what you think about our current... predicament," Magna said. She was about to say adventure, but she was probably the only one who thought of their situation like that. "From what Leon has said, it seems that we aren't the first visitors here, nor will we be the last. From what I can tell, we were all gathered here, but there was no bias as to who was chosen. If I may ask, was there anything were you doing in particular, or did anything strange happen before you were brought here?"

Perhaps there was some sort of correlation, some sort of clue that everyone had in common that might have triggered these chain of events.

Snow, The Lady Ashford.

"Strange. You're wearing a glove, I'm wearing one as far as you know... something smells fishy here." Snow would've raised an eyebrow, if she still had one. "Sit at least. I'd rather you not hover over me. It's hard to meditate while you are." She said. It was strangely odd. But she shut off her eyes again falling into the darkness. She'd meditated before while others were present. Hard, but so long as they were respectful and not being idiotic it was still possible even while being able to talk and reply. She'd have preferred to be left on her own, but she supposed it was fine.

"As for what I was doing... I'm not sure if you'd quite believe me. I was meditating, then. But my goddess said she had another mission for me. Aelia. She gave me no context. And, here I was. I do not believe it was by her power I arrived here. She doesn't have the ability to transcend. She cannot break the barriers of the Great Encompasser. The Universe's barriers between pocket universes. So I suspect something else was responsible. I do not know what." She breathed deeply. exhaling a thin frosty stream from her helmet. Like one's breathe on a frosty winter morning. Despite not having a normal human body, a lot of her mind worked like one. Aelia always said it was to ease Snow's use of her form. To tie functions to things that felt like her old human body. It always felt... off though.

"As for our company. Most I do not have an opinion on. They have yet to show their true colours therefore I cannot judge them. There are others though.. that I find undesirable. Ones that are close to being irredeemable. Ones that are perhaps more of a hindrance and danger to those around them than they are a boon." Snow didn't name any names. She was sure she didn't have to.

((just a note if Magna is near Snow for an extended period of time she'll probably really start to feel the unnatural coldness. Or, maybe not, seeing as she is all bone lel.))

Eon

"I see. Morning Arrows must be very important to you," Eon said, slightly curious about the origins and design of the device. With that, he takes another look at the shop.

"You know, I was going to see if I could pick up something, but thinking on it, I'm not particularly sure of how well received I would be. And I'd rather not cause too much of a scene unnecessarily. I'm unsure if extra motivation would be beneficial, but perhaps you also picking up something for me may somehow let you complete your transaction without running away beforehand. What do you think of that idea?" Eon asked the girl. He had no idea how well this plan would work, or even if she would agree to the idea at all. Nevertheless, it was worth a shot at the very least.

"Yeah she is. I don't know what i would do with out her." Bridgett said smiling.

"I'm not to sure really it might help." She said closing her eyes thinking a bit. "Alternatively Eon could wit at the door so My Lady can't run." Mornings Arrow chimed in one more.

Eon

"Well that's certainly an idea. It will certainly be able to keep her from leaving until she actually manages to complete the purchase. And who knows, maybe it will make future shopping trips easier for her in the future," Eon replied, personally amused at the idea proposed. Strange yes, but potentially effective.

"Provided you're fine with it Bridgett, we could try out that idea. I'm not doing anything too important right now, and I'm sure it will work out for both of us."

Moving her feet out of nervousness Bridgett nodded her head in agreement."Umm..what where you wanting from the shop?" She asked as she started to slowly move to the shop with a determined look on her face.

Eon

"Hmm, I'm not quite sure. I haven't been able to go into any of the shops for obvious reasons, so I couldn't say what specifically I want. That being said, I think I have a solution to that," Eon finishes, before making another telepathic link, this time towards Bridgett. He was starting to get back into the groove of using his telepathic abilities now, considering his earlier interactions with Aurora and It that Embraces.

"Just to make sure, you can hear me like this correct?" Eon thought to the girl, making sure that the telepathic link worked before sending her into the store.

Bridgett's eyes' widened in surprise as she heard the sound of Eon's voice in her head. "EEP!!!...oh sorry about that. I'm wasn't ready for telepathy. I didn't think anyone one else would be able to talk to me like this. Well unless they where a mage form my world." She thought to Eon quite comfortable in using telepathy.

"I'm not too surprised. Most people don't expect a dragon's voice to suddenly pop into their head. Though like this, you can let me know what's in the shop, and I can see if anything in there is something I may want for one reason or another," Eon thought to her, glad that she was apparently familiar with telepathy. This made a few things much easier.

"Now then, when you go into the shop, I'll be in front of the door so you don't run out before you actually get the supplies you need. And if you have any questions, just communicate with me through the link and I'll try to answer them," Eon finished, hoping that the girl would be ready to go into the shop and actually finish a purchase.

"Don't mind if I do then~" Magna said, as she took a seat on a rock. Aelia? Transcend? Great Encompasser? Such words escaped her, as it went through one ear and out of the other. Already, Snow didn't seem like she was a human. If she could interact on the level of the gods, then perhaps Snow was some sort of spiritual being. Humans had religion back on her world, sure. But she never knew anything about humans being able to interact with their god. Was she a demi-god then, perhaps? Magna really wished she had read her instruction pamphlet when she started. In any case, it didn't seem like there was anything out of the ordinary. All of them were just gathered without a moment's notice.

Her eyes darted to Snow's visor, as some steam escaped from it. Steam? But it wasn't that cold outside. She hadn't recalled the dragon, nor the other humans emanating heat to their surroundings. Her eyes narrowed, as she studied Snow closely.

"As for our company. Most I do not have an opinion on. They have yet to show their true colours therefore I cannot judge them. There are others though.. that I find undesirable. Ones that are close to being irredeemable. Ones that are perhaps more of a hindrance and danger to those around them than they are a boon."

"I totally understand that~ The people here are so amusing!" Magna chuckled. But then her usual playful tone shifted to a more serious tone. "But then there are others of perhaps more... questionable motives. And until we truly figure out who is a friend or a foe, what would you say about forming a... temporary alliance? Of course, you may have no reason to trust me, and you might think an alliance may be unnecessary, but I think you might find it to be useful to have allies in unexpected places. Safety in numbers, and all that jazz."

"What do you say?"
