Theodore

Theo enters the general store, and is greeted by the shopkeeper.

"Why, hello there sir! And what might you need?"

"Well, I'm with that new group that's coming through, and Leon said we might be able to get a few supplies for our trip to that castle."

"Ah, yeah he told me about that, and I think I have some things that might just help."

The shopkeeper gathers a few items and presents them to Theo in a knapsack.

[Items Gained: Health potion, food for 2 days(apples and bread), a pocket knife, and a compass]

"Thanks man! I feel bad about just taking all this though. Surely there's something I can give as payment?"

"Hey now, I won't hear anything more about payment. It's all on the house."

Theo merely nods, and exits the shop. Instead of returning to the rendezvous point, he decides to take in the scenery.

Magna found her way back to the appointed meeting place, looking around to see if Kagarin or H.K. was there. She spotted H.K. sitting down, and Magna made her way over and sat beside her. "Hiya H.K.~ Make any new friends while I was gone?"

"Irregardless of whether or not you did, we're getting a new friend anyway!" Magna beamed, as she drew away from Hiroki's line of sight, to reveal Snow in her gleaming armor. "It's a flippin' knight in shining armor! Can you believe it? In my world, they don't exist anymore! Feel free to introduce yourselves! By the way, have you seen Kagarin anywhere? I don't see here around. It'd be a perfect time to meet our new ally!"

Kagari coughed and stood up, walking over to join the armored fighter and the undead.

"I'm right here, Magna."

With the rigging attached to her waist, she took up considerably more space than before, making it a bit difficult to shimmy in next to them. Faced with this quandary, Kagari detached the split bow from the corset and hugged the two segments in her arms, placing them on her lap as she shifted to sit next to the Hellfire Knight.

"So who's the new ally? Please tell me it's not the book person or the armor person."

After slowing her heart rate down Bridgett smiled at Eon and handed him his items. "It was only cause I knew i couldn't get away easily." She said. Closing her eyes for a bit she spoke up again "Thank you for your help Eon." "Yes thank you for helping my lady." She said with a small bow well mornings Arrow chimed in. "If there is anything you need help with I will do my best to help if I can, but for now i think we should head back to the rest of the group. Yes?" She finished as she turned in direction of the building they we're to meet at.

A little bit a way Mornings Arrow lite up "My Lady perhaps you should end the the Mode." The device chimed. "Ah your right. Mode release." She said before she was engulfed in a light blue light. Once the light ended Bridgett stood there in her casual look as Mornings Arrow chimed this time from a pendant around Bridgett's neck "I am at the ready My Lady." "You coming Eon?" She finished as she begun to walk away.

Eon

"Yes, I believe that takes care of all my business. Let us go and wait for Leon and the others," Eon answered, not being able to think of any other things he would care to do at that point.

"-Oh! There you are Kagarin~" Magna said in surprise. "You look... different! I probably didn't notice you because of how dazzling your new outfit looked in my eyes~"

Magna envied her a little, how she somehow managed to score a new outfit in this town. Due to anatomical reasons, actual clothing wouldn't perform any function of any sort.

"Well, I know for one fact that she doesn't seem to have a book on her," said Magna. If she had facial tissue, she would have frowned. "But she is indeed a lady in armor. Is there... a problem?"

Well, from what little Magna could garner from their short conversation together, Snow didn't seem to have any alarming personality traits. At least, to her knowledge, anyway.

As the grey cloaked man waited for the average shopkeeper to reply, he felt a small voice in the back of his head say "Hello Solomon, we are here"; the grey cloaked man frowned at this new development; for the most part his "librarians" were simply content with ignoring his day to day activities, but perhaps they have taken notice of his current predicament, and perhaps they could find it in their... hearts to help him with his current predicament, and maybe pigs could fly..... well, it is a multiverse after all, and it's not like things could get any worse could they?

"Of course they can Solomon; we wouldn't be here otherwise", the grey cloaked man sighed, and he stood there in front of the average shopkeeper, and he closed his eyes and tried to focus on the one who had been speaking to him, and it was all wrong; it looked like a cube made out of books? that was also trying to be a sphere? while several smaller multicolored books danced around the issues while several pillars rose up and down to the rhythm generated by the flow of the, after a while the grey cloaked man gave up and simply imagined it as an elderly British man wearing a tweed jacket.

"Oh hello there Charles, how was the golfing trip?", the tweed jacket seemed to frown for a moment "Our name isn't Charles, Solomon, and we do not Golf", the grey cloaked man continued frowning; it was a very effective way of maintaining his concentration; "Yeah sure, whatever; I'm assuming that you have a message for me?", the vaguely tweed gentleman's mustache quivered "Follow the Shrinkwrapped dame", the grey cloaked man looked confused for a moment "Wait, what does that even meaaaaaaaaan" the tweed gentleman wearing a british jacket started to crack, as a bright white light started to consume it "This message has been brought to you by the voice of re-".

and then he was back inside the store; the average shopkeeper was still staring at him, and he still hadn't received a proper answer to his question, but the grey cloaked man had a feeling that somewhere inside of that meeting hall, there would be someone odd enough to wear shrinkwrap, it is a multiverse after all... and so the grey cloaked man left the shop with a brand new sack in tow; which the shopkeeper had been so kind to donate to his cause.

Visrii wandered around the town, lost. Damn it, he was normally not this disorientated. Actually, he almost always knew where to go - it was really the only way he travelled well enough on his own. Right now, though, there were many thoughts congesting his mind.

He was secretly annoyed at having to employ, heaven forbid, DIPLOMATICS. Unlike his previous encounters where he would be able to do the job, get the money and bugger off without having to say any word other than 'okay' and 'done', situations right now had changed. Unfamiliar territory and conditions meant he needed to work with other people, and it was something he both dreaded and hated. That last account with the giant metal lady was sketchy. He only acted friendly because he 1 - needed to know about, uhh JAMs and levers, and 2 - felt contrived to let her go after she moderated his most unsuccessful interaction with the librarian.

He shook his head and put aside his impending worries a little. He needed to acquire supplies first, then. With practiced casualness, he stooped into shops, made sure the attendant was distracted, acquired what he needed, and walked back out. Eh, I'll pay later, he thought as he yawned, then again, it's hard to tell which ones are going to live the long enough to spend that money.

[Added - Basic food supplies, flint and steel, sharpening stone.]

He looked at his arm. The red patches were getting irritated every time he put pressure on it. It wasn't as severe as this - any more, and it might affect his performance in battle. He visited the tonics shop, a run down place that looked like Visrii could crumple it just by leaning on its sordid walls.

"Hello..." a fading voice greeted him. Ironically, the tonics shop was run by a sickly looking woman of 50, as frail as the building.

He nodded towards her direction, acknowledging her. "Bandages? Restorative." he asked curtly.

"Yes, yes..." she said and painfully hobbled away. As he waited he could hear distant cries. Children. He growled under his breath. Who was guarding this place, then?

The woman returned, barely holding the item in her shaking hands. "5 gold, please..."

He reached for his coin pouch, hesitated, and placed the whole pouch upon the counter, the pouch sagging under the weight of the countless gold coins inside. "That's 5 here."

Then he took the bandages, and without a word, spun around and left the shop, grim faced and dark. Damn it, he was being an idiot. He had JUST said to himself that he did not care. But he made no attempt to correct his error. This shop was not going to last another attack, but if his 'error' made these cursed souls that much happier, then so be it.

[Added - Bandages. Lost - Coins]

Snow, The Lady Ashford

"Hmm, so these are the ones you've chosen. I see. The Warrior who fights with her rear, And the one who bares a title much like that of one I know."

Snow wasn't sure what to make of the two. The butt warrior... was... something. She didn't really know how to place this individual. They were so many things seemingly in one. How could one ever process all of that? Second the Hellfire Knight. Something about this one never felt right. A Crimson Knight wannabe? She had a similar fighting style... lay waste with some sort of fire like artillery. Yet, she was hardly any bit a tactician. Was it even magic she used? It seemed like... an even more advanced version of the firearms that the Slingers used. Energy. But these didn't have the same feeling as their bolts did. Each Slinger's bolt was unique to their personality and soul. So... it didn't function that way. At least as far as Snow could tell. She figured it might be the same if anyone fired it. Then again, she wasn't the most famailiar with the Slinger's armaments. Maybe these did fucntion the same.

Snow didn't say much else just putting her hand to her chin in contemplation.

The grey cloaked man had been walking towards the general direction of the meeting hall, but he ran into a problem; he didn't actually know where the meeting hall was located, and after his recent adventures; he felt as if he was simply walking further away from it with every single step, but thankfully the grey cloaked man noticed a familiar face in the crowd, a young man wearing a garish green and yellow outfit; with a startlingly bright pair of cherry red headphones on top of his head, the grey cloaked man knew that he was rambling, but he simply wanted to waste some time as doing so would allow him to remember what the young man's name was; his hair was light brown, and his name was.... T something.... have we mentioned his shoes yet? they were also green and yellow, and all of this granted T something a rather unique appearance.

The grey cloaked man finally decided to walk towards the green and yellow abomination, and he tried desperately to remember the young man's name, and upon reaching the young man; he gave up and said "Terry! how are you doing?".

"Forgot my name already? Damn, thought I would be more memorable than that. The name's Theo, remember?"

"Anyway, it's going alright. Got myself some supplies, now I'm just wandering around, taking in the sights. This place is something else.

What've you been up to?"

The shopkeepers would direct anyone who asked about Cid to his garage, in the lower level of the town a short distance from the house they were to meet in.

The Hellfire Knight inclined their head toward Snow in greetings, and tried not to shy away from Kagari as she shimmied in next to her. Sitting silently for a few moments, she pondered an internal quandry, until. . . "Snow. You mentioned something earlier about a Crimson Knight? Who is that?" She wondered what kind of world Snow came from. It didn't seem like she used favor, or at least if she did, not in nearly the same way the denizens of Tempest did. It was strange, really, the thought of being out of Tempest. . .

Ah yes, that was the young man's name wasn't it? the grey cloaked man had forgotten it amidst all of today's chaos, and all of the blows to the head that he had received today hadn't helped, but the grey cloaked man was.... adept at turning a situation around, and so the grey cloaked man simply smiled, and said "Oh not much really; just a mysterious vision from a supernormal creature concerning a beautiful dame and shrinkwrap, and now I am on a holy quest for a potent source of cause of, and the solution to, most of life's problems."

"It's just standard wizard stuff, but I am looking for allies, and it just so happens that you are on a very short list for a position".

The grey cloaked man chuckled, the average shopkeeper had told him where Cid was located, but he was still curious about the shrinkwrapped dame that Charles had mentioned earlier.

"A holy quest, huh? Well, I'm no priest, but I guess it couldn't hurt to come along. Lead the way.

Before we go, might I inquire as to the "cause and solution to most of life's problems"?"

The grey cloaked man smiled even wider as he heard the garish gentleman's reply "Here's a hint, it comes inside of a bottle", The grey cloaked man started walking towards where he thought the meeting hall would be "But for now, we have to find the Shrinkwrapped woman the tweed gentlemen mentioned earlier".

Theo pauses for a moment, considering the sanity of the man before him. He knows there is no one in tweed in their ragtag group of misfits, but he also is intrigued by the promise of booze. He thinks a moment, then simply shrugs, and follows the cloaked man.

The grey cloaked gentleman continued marching towards the fabled meeting hall, and he pondered the meaning of the tweed gentlemen's words; it still made absolutely no sense to him; a shrinkwrapped dame? he knew that the outfits of some the group could be quite.... eccentric to say the least, but... the tweed gentlemen were very specific about something so ridiculous, perhaps they meant the swimsuit wearing woman from earlier, although it does seem unlikely; the word dame usually implies some sort of... elegance, which was something the swimsuited woman did not have in abundance; perhaps they meant the woman from earlier, the street samurai holding a shotgun in her arms, her clothes were... impractical to say the least.

After a bit of walking the grey cloaked gentleman arrived at the meeting hall, and he had a rather brilliant idea if he did say so himself; he turned to face the bard, the knave, master of music he had recruited for his glorious cause, and he said "can you play me something that a classy gentleman would play upon meeting a respectable woman?"

Kagari groaned and placed her head in her hands. Great. The person she was planning to avoid. She had nothing against Snow personally, not yet anyway. She was a bit abrasive and seemed on the bossy side of things, but she did carry herself with the dignity of a ruler, and Kagari knew better than most the burden of rule. Especially when one's subjects were literally brainless. So, objectively, there should be nothing stopping the two of them from being friends.

But armor scared Kagari. It reminded her of swords, of arrows, of magic fire raining from some interloper's staff. It reminded her of days spent cowering in fear as her siblings were mercilessly bisected in front of her. But most terrifyingly, it reminded her of a past self, one who cared only for survival, one who attacked innocent beings, one who lived solely on instinct and was incapable of thought. She thought she'd transcended that, she knew she'd transcended that, but the sight of armor, the sight of tall humans clad in plate and wielding iron brought forth a primal mixture of fear and anger. One does not live through 500 years of armored humans attacking one's family without bearing some sort of lingering trauma. Even now, as Snow walked over to approach them, Kagari felt an irrational fear. The image of an armored human, walking slowly and calmly in her direction, was too similar to the image of a confident adventurer closing in for the kill.

...wait. She was walking over. Kagari buried her head deeper into her hands, curling in on herself, trying to calm herself down. One of the turrets in the split bow on her lap changed form, gaining tiny arms and legs without hands. It wiggled itself free of its mount and jumped on top of Kagari's head, patting her soothingly.

She was here. The armored lady was standing right next to them. Tremors began to overtake Kagari's body as it instinctively responded the presence of an armored individual in close proximity.

The gray cloaked man pushed the door of the meeting hall open, and he smiled as he heard the song that the DJ, no... the music master? decided to play; he wondered who the singer was as he looked around the room, he noted the presence of Edmond inside of the room, and the android calling itself Alexandria reading the book with him; heh, "The Primus Councillor", who would ever want to elect an Android as a council.... woman? it seems like quite an odd thing to do, but he wasn't looking for them, nor was he looking for the grouchy angel lurking in the corner, he was simply looking for the one person that might make sense out all of this, the street samurai, a candidate for the shrinkwrapped dame, a woman who's expression could be best described as simply being not drunk enough to be able to deal with this situation properly, but thankfully; the grey cloaked man had an answer to that question.

And he walked over to her, his eyes widened, his mouth switched to a more neutral position, and he noted how he had never quite bothered to remember her name, but he wouldn't let that stop  him, would he?

"Hello, the weather here is.... quite a tease isn't she?"

Mar appears, confused in the slow, cautious way of an older fellow, it is clear that he is an orc, or at least, inhuman, from his green skin, swolen jaw, and hunched demeanor, he nearly draws his stone sword, a jagged blade of obsidian, the length being like that of a man who is tall, and glowing at it's seams like spiderwebs laid gently over the natural lines of fractured volcanic rock, attached to a handle made from simple carved wood, A giant disk of some white stone is tied to his back, as is a Log, like that of a tree, made from the black obsidian, antlers and bones tied to his side clatter as he moves, and the Hard Hides covering his body shuffle from movement, but not from the wind, stiff as they are.

He starts to speak.  "Hello then, I am Mar of Stonerist Chi, one of the gatherers for my people, and one of her warriors."

"These beasts will hopefully die to my tools,  is their flesh poison, or fair as game?  I would presume creatures of dark nature might be poor hunting, but I defer to the wisdom of others before I make a poor decision."

A man walks into the appropriate house and looks around at the presumably gathered people there. He looks around at them for a moment before shrugging, apparently deciding to get their attention. One can tell he's decided to do this because he puts two fingers in his mouth and whistling loudly. Looking at him proper on may be drawn to notice his fine manner of dress, it's black and red color scheme, or possibly the fact that he's wearing a fedora. He quickly types something up one what some may call a "Smartphone" before holding it up so those gathered can read the screen. The phone is red and the screen reads as follows:

Is this where people wanting to get off world meet up?
