Kyle looks to the Teenager. He blinks before turning to the robot to translate for him. He'd turn to the other that understands sign language but the Android sounds nicer. But, reasons for his choice aside, he ends up signing out "Got something to say kid?". He makes doubly sure to point at Jesse to make sure that the message got to the person he intended. He'd probably express indignity at being force to work with a kid if he didn't just assume it was one of those deals where they're really 10,000 years old.

"I used my arc welder as a weapon earlier...I'm hoping to maybe obtain something better suited to the task at hand later on..."

I suppose I could make some attempts to modify it...I like having the ability to use it for it's intended purpose though. Edmond relegated that thought to the back of his head for the moment. He hesitatingly turned toward Alexandria.

"I don't know if he wishes for me to talk through an interpreter or just himself... anyway, would you ask him this: Do you, newcomer (Kyle was it?) have a weapon also?"

Words emanate from Alexandria's back in time with Kyle's signing, as from now on you should assume they will when he uses sign language near Alexandria unless he asks her to stop.

"Ah, Emissary, welcome.  I had not seen you there," She greets Jesse.  The slight emphasis on the word seen implies to the angel that he had in fact been noticed, but if he's socially adept also conveys that evading her eyesight is still pretty darn impressive.  If he's not, Alexandria can be hard for people used to organics to read.  "My skills synergize quite well with a marksman's.  Experience indicates that we should work quite well together."

"And to answer your question, Kyle, I am equipped with many weapons.  Unfortunately, most of them seem to be malfunctioning or starved for energy at the moment.  My power supply is designed for my home universe, and will take time to adjust to this one's different physical laws and composition.  However, my rocket maul, my plasma cannon, and one of my shielding systems are currently at my disposal."

"Edmond?  Kyle can understand you fine.  He just can't talk."

In response to the question Kyle smiles like he was just asked to go spend the night with a reputable lady. With an odd motion as if he is pulling something from his pocket with two hand he quickly retrieves his Old Reliable. A fine Platinum plated beast which reflects the light like a mirror. He gently sets it down against his leg as he signs out his response.

"This little beauty is my Boomstick! I call her Old Reliable. She's capable of putting a man on the ground at up to twenty feet away and flat out works like a dream. And of course she comes with a classic stock and pump action grip. Really, I don't think there's any object in the universe I appreciate more that it."

*pop* Jesse's gum burst the moment Kyle and Alexandria notice him, he stares blankly at the them and continues chews his gum before deciding to speak.

"Nothing much, except welcome to the group, The name's Jesse by the way.." The angel introduced himself. " I wield a sniping rifle, as you can see right here." He said and gently pats his weapon, disguising it as a bland sniping rifle, not revealing its divine form. If someone here that has a sharp hearing, they can notice a soft cry of tortured souls escaping within the rifle's long barrel. Jesse simply puts his weapon away before anyone of mortals can notice this celestial feature within his gun.

"I hope you enjoy your stay, and fight along side with you without any problems with you nor your fancy gun" Jesse said with a playful smile, subtly hinting that he won't tolerate disorder coming from the new guy. cuz the last time he let trouble slide, it didn't end so well for the two of his potential teammates.

"were you designed to do that? that's quite impressive, i supposed we just have to see that in battle won't we, with all the gadgets that you have." He said to the seemingly friendly war machine.

A burst of static assaults the ears of those nearby once again as Hiroki snorts at that last from Snow. Book idiot, indeed. Wasn't that a waste of good literature? And not a very effective fighting tactic, either. . . "My power seems to have been reduced too, like I have lost favor. I should regain it soon; I won't lose to anyone here." The defiant note came through even with the interference of the electronic voice; in fact, a particularly sharp ear might have been able to hear the Hellfire Knight's true voice hiss the line louder than they intended just before it was drowned out by the mechanical interpreter.

Kagari muttered unintelligibly under her breath as she allowed herself to be led away.

"armorhumanbadkildeathhumanbadarmorbadscaredarmorscaredscared"

Once they were outside the building, she hugged her arms around herself, crouching down to the floor, head bowed forward as she continued to mutter, her eyes wide open and her pupils dilating in fear.

3 hours ago, Stalkerkain said:

"What's wrong? You can talk to me, Kagarin."

A familiar name broke through her panic. It was familiar, but it felt odd. It felt wrong.

...Kagarin? Who's Kagarin?

The fresh air and distance from the triggering factor allowed her frenzied mind to calm down as her breathing slowed to a regular pace and her eyes returned to normal. Gradually the shivering stopped.

That's right. I'm Kagari now. I'm not a powerless, weak slime any more. I'm Koizumi Kagari, Magical Idol. One of the humans. One of the hunters. That was her final gift to me.

She straightened up, having regain her composure. She took a deep breath in, then out, then turned to Magna.

"It's okay. I'm fine now. Thanks. That was embarrassing."

She bit her lip and lowered her gaze, a look of pain and mourning flashing briefly across her face.

"I'm not very good with armor, especially not the kind that looks like it's been worn to slay thousands of monsters. It reminds me of many things I'd much rather forget. I have nothing against Snow personally, really, but I'm just... REALLY not good with armor."

While the others start to talk among themselves Kyle's eye is drawn to a woman seemingly having a panic attack. After a moment to check that no one is talking to him he silently sneaks out the door after them. He pauses at the door watching the two, ready to grant an unhealthy snack upon the upset one but not about to go bother them. He does look remarkably concerned.

Hikari had been close enough to hear the Knight's words, having not left the meeting-building or wherever they were. Being in the music industry tends to imply good hearing, so she did hear the non-mechanical bit of the armored individual's voice. She notes it, elects not to mention it for the moment.

Snow, The Lady Ashford

"Hmmm, not sure you mean by lose. We're not enemies. None of us are. Or well... we're not supposed to be. Apparently the two idiots fighting didn't get the memo. Guess the carrier pigeon died on the way there. Or they killed it... and used the letter to bludgeon something. The book idiot probably did the latter."

She shifted in her suit. The trembling wasn't her imagination. She wasn't sure yet if she was the source of it, but she certainly knew that what she saw was real. She wasn't very happy with this, but there wasn't much she could do. Hopefully, Magna could comfort her apparent friend.

"Even still, be glad I'm not an enemy. I respect confidence. But not overconfidence. Know yourself. But do not overestimate yourself. Despite my power I do not know If I'm truly stronger than anyone here, even if I was at full capacity. I do not know the bounds of my comrades here. I may not even know the depths of their potential. The same goes for you. Remember that. I do not mean to say that your words couldn't be true, there's just no way of knowing. I admire the resolve though. Just aim it at those we fight together and not us. But, favor? As in the god you mentioned? Hmm... I suppose that'd make sense of wnaing, but... isn't it your god's power itself that dmishes over distance, not their favor in you. hmmm strange."

The Hellfire Knight frowned - not that one could actually, you know, tell. "Huh? No, the Fourth God doesn't give me any power. It is all my own." Vehement, again. "I know that we are teammates, or at least that we're supposed to be. But I don't think we're here to make friends." And that's a good thing, I was never good with people. . . "Also. . . No, that's not important. So you get power from the god of your plane, then? How does that work?" The evasion of the start of a question was painfully obvious - something that made her wince underneath her cowl - but it was better than being rude. But did it matter if she was rude? Someone called the Hellfire Knight wouldn't be expected to be polite, but a scared little girl would be. . .

"I'm sorry too, if I had some more lead time in knowing that, I would have planned to introduce Snow at a better time," Magna said regrettably. She was aware of someone behind them eavesdropping, but whoever it was, was too insignificant to give attention to at the moment. "I don't know what the story behind that is, but you can tell me when you're ready. But for now, I want you to just have a little trust in me, okay? I'm two for two on recruiting amazing allies, right? My gut feeling tells me that it's going to be three, I know it. Just give me some time to sort some things out, and I'll show you that I'm right, okay?"

Magna reassuringly patted Kagarin, and helped her stand to her feet. "If Snow's still too much to handle right now, you don't have to stay around her for longer than you want to. I'm pretty sure there's nothing for you to worry about. Though there is something more to Snow than I can initially see," Magna said. Gripping her scythe, she slammed the handle backwards into the door, making it apparent that she knew Kyle was behind it. After all, a soul in such close proximity cannot hide in her presence. "Also, it is rather rude to eavesdrop, my friend. Do show yourself immediately."

Kyle... wasn't actually eavesdropping. He was just stand by the door in full view should either of the two had looked. In regards to the demand he waves before grabbing something from his pocket. It happens to be a chocolate bar, which he helpfully uses to gesture to Kagarin. One may think he is offering it to her.

"Actually," Alexandria chuckles, "My body was designed to fight dragons, battleships, and other such hard targets at any range while maintaining the mobility and small target profile of infantry.  But my heavy shields and skill at attracting attention make me well-suited to drawing enemies out of cover for snipers and artillery to dispatch."

Izumi Kurosawa

The faintest trace of a smile traced upon her expression as the nostalgic, almost familiar notes reached her ears, remind her of home, of better times. Which of course, served only to add more the abject horror of seeing what it accompanied.

Kurosawa remains silent for a moment, as if unsure whether the question was addressed to her, or, as was more likely the case, praying it wasn't it. ...It was, wasn't it? Typical.

A quiet sigh escapes her lips, one heard only by herself as she turned to face the madman.

"It is what it is. Don't mind it much, it's better than the drizzle back where I'm from at least."

Kagari wasn't particularly hungry at the moment, but she accepted the stranger's goodwill. She reached out and took the chocolate, unwrapping it and downing it in three bites, allowing the sweet taste to permeate her body.

[Kagari has gained <<Chocolate>> as a sub-form]

"Well then, hello, I suppose. Name's Koizumi Kagari. Kagari's fine."

The turret sitting on her head waved its cannons happily and made a [:3] face.

"This little guy's Choujuusenchihou-chan. But that's a bit of a mouthful, so I just call him Ten-chan."

The grey cloaked man noted the presence of some new arrivals, the well dressed man carrying the ridiculously shiny shotgun looked as if he had just walked off the set of an old school mafia vid, the grey cloaked man chuckled a bit as he heard the man ask if this was a space port, Mafiaso's in space eh? And what was with that ridiculously ancient little PDA he was carrying?.

But then he noticed the Orc; now the grey cloaked man had no problem with him being an orc; heck, some of his best friends are orcs, but did he really have to go around wearing all leather like that? he sighed as he realized yet again that he was nowhere near his beloved home, but he did mutter approval over the Orken man's wariness, it is always prudent to speak softly and carry the biggest stick isn't it?

"Well, I for one miss the seemingly ever present rain, it is very calming.... Say, you wouldn't be at all interested in accompanying me, and Theo....pillus over there to find a man named Cid? I feel like a bottle of Vodka would be very important in the coming trials"

"And I'm Magna," she said, distracted. She was glad Kagarin was feeling better, but that didn't solve the problem. It simply wouldn't do if Kagarin was always going to be on edge around Snow. But what could she do? She wracked her brain for a solution, but was coming up with nothing. "I'll figure something out."

She turned to face Kyle, a newcomer to their group. With how large their group had become, it was hard to keep track of who had joined recently, or who was in the second group they ran into. It was even harder to put a name to a face, as she hadn't talked to most of them either. For now, gathering more information would be a good way to obtain a better grasp on their current situation.

"I haven't seen you around before, Kyle. Are you one of the local inhabitants? Or were you unexpectedly brought to this world, like the rest of us?"

Izumi Kurosawa

Visibly flinching at the mention of rain, Kurosawa looked over to Theo.

He, like many of the others looked young, far too young; fresh out of college in his case, if at that even. She could see it in his movements, brimming with life, and that youthful ignorance, that innocence that which repulsed her - whether it be from its enviable bliss, or its inevitable doom, she could not tell, though fortuitously and tragically, it mattered not, for the two so often go hand in hand. She had seen that story in all its myriad forms enough to tire of it long ago, a dreadfully boring farce brought forth and brought to a close by the vicissitudes of hearts too romantic for their own good, or in this case, a jackass with the survival instincts of a lobotomized panda, the poor bastard.

Really, how did he get roped into all of this? Perhaps, perhaps she should go after all, if only to keep him out of trouble...

No, no! That's how it always starts, there's just that one person who looks oh so pitiable, and maybe, they are, maybe they aren't, but regardless of it all, before you know it, there's a room full of corpses, and a knife in your back. Possibly wielded by that dame or gent, if you're luck is on your side. If it isn't, well, down the rabbit hole you go.

And this "Theo" boy, isn't that innocent. Of course he isn't, he would be here if he was. No one brings together knights, dragons, and eldritch beings for innocuous affairs, and for dirty business like this, well, who's going to be bringing just any kid? He's probably no stranger to violence, he's probably got some magic up his sleeves, or stained them enough to not even need it. He's not some naive-

She sighs again, out loud this time.

"Leo, we aren't leaving just yet, are we?"

The dove hops off her arm, fluttering onto a nearby chair.

"Tell me when they start going."

"Understood."

Visrii looked suspiciously at the new arrivals, wary and scornful of the strangers. He wasn't even finished analysing the original group; now there were more and more strangers joining their group. This was both an advantage and a curse. As much as the group needed as much power to storm through the beastial threat that loomed over the town, more strangers meant more risk of decoherence, betrayal and implosion. And since he wasn't very good at fraternising, this situation was getting very uncomfortable for him. He remembered his original plan of gaining allies within this peculiar company, and though he couldn't help of analysing ways to murder everyone whom he met, he decided to eat the bitter herb and continue with his interactions. The giant lizard, then. he muttered as he swept through the street. That's probably something I'd rather keep on friendly tabs.

The grey cloaked man slowly walked towards the engineer, he tried his best to remember the man's name... was it Edmond? or Edmund? it was a trifle, but it might make a difference.

he retained his 'Serious' expression as he walked towards the young man who had been inspecting his.... plasma gun from earlier; it was a very interesting weapon, and Solomon wondered how it cooled itself, and where it stored, or perhaps generated it's lethal payload.

The grey cloaked man turned to face Edmond, and despite himself; he smiled as he said "Hello Edmond, I am here to converse with you about returning my ring to me; before you ask, I need it to perform a trifle; that and I hate walking and I can use my ring to fly".
