NatJones
I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to Ame and the reborn team, for making such an amazing game. Playing this has helped me through a very difficult period in my life. I am currently fighting very severe depression and anxiety, and in being able to lose myself in such a well thought out game has helped massively. So again, thank you. Administrators Amethyst Posted November 18, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 18, 2016 it is absolutely my pleasure. i would like to say it was my intent to make something that could do that-- but most of this has turned out by happy accident. however things i am working on now for the distant future may resonate even further with those kinds of themes. i hope you will stick around, not only for them, but for a community that i think many people within (including myself) can relate to such issues we've got your back. ^^
NatJones
Thanks Ame I plan on sticking around, even just reading a lot of topics manages to put a smile on my face
RebornRejuvinator
Yeah, i love how this game doesnt shy away from making their characters with real conditions rather than the censoring from main series games (pokemon multiverse theory ftw, makes every fangame canon). i played this while suffering from a similar condition and cain made me have a few laughs that i didn't think i had in me. Kurotsune
While I'm no longer part of the dev team, I'd like to assume I've enough of a part in the making of the game to reply to this thread. I've struggled with depression for a long time now - And while I can't personally say I've had therapeutic experiences with Reborn, I'm always happy to know someone has. It's always a positive surprise to learn the impact a video game can have on someone. It's even better to know, with admittedly a tinge of pride, that I've my hand in that impact. Reborn may not have been made to help people with their issues (even if it does) but it doesn't mean we ourselves are unwilling to offer assistance. If you ever feel like discussing your condition, feel free to approach me - Or, if you want to learn about my experience with mine, I've written a short exposé on my own life a while ago, for my birthday. Thank you for playing the game, and I'm glad it has helped.
Alistair
That's one heartwarming thread to read. While we're at it and since I just realized I never thanked the team properly for this game, lemme jump on the bandwagon and say: THANK YOU AME AND CO FOR BRINGING HOLY REBORN TO US! It is a wonderfully designed game that provided me with a richer and more satisfying experience than any other fan game I played. Possibly even more so than any canon version. I look forward to playing the last parts of Reborn and Ame's next projects.
