Okay so with the new site updated we needed an updated Where to Put your Topics thread and site archiving stuff stopped us from editing the old one so here's a new one with all of the sparkly new subforums.

Well there you go, now hopefully you're clear on what each subforum does. If you're interested in seeing what the old versions of the forum's subforumswere you can check out the old thread which we unfortunately had to abandon due to site archiving stopping us from editing it.

Edit: there also appear to be some words breaking over two lines... that's odd

Do you archive topics or can we do it on our own and if so, How?

The topics that are archived are generally pre site-update, although if they're inactive for over a year or two its an automatic process. We don't actively archive anything, as generally it just makes life more difficult as we can't edit them, and the site automatically stores everything that's been created.

If you want to make it so that one of your threads can't be replied to anymore, then we can lock it. Users of the veteran class or above (which you get once you've been on the forum long enough) can lock their own topics, but if non-veterans like you wan't a thread locked feel free to pass it onto a moderator who can do it for you. The best way to do this is by reporting your own thread and just mentioning that you want it locked in the report.

Hopefully this answers your question, let me know if I've missed the point!
