Training spot

I'm currently having trouble with the fairy gym, mainly because I don't have any good steel or poison pokemon. So I decided to level an Aggron and a Drapion. I just have a bit of trouble trying to level them up quickly. Is there a nice training spot available to use to level them up? I am currently fighting with aggron and a lucky egg, and drapion with an exp share on the mountain, but it goes quite slow. Any tips?

I was trying that, but I keep getting beaten... either my team is very weak, or I'm just not good enough :/

I could also just be really unlucky, getting my rhyperior frozen by ice punch just when I was about to finish of his electivire, then dying because of this, and losing 1/2 of my team

 

any other suggestions?

Hmm, what are your pokemon? Also, if you don't use the exp share and just the lucky egg, I think the lucky egg holder will gain more since the exp share isn't taking a portion of the exp. You could try the different days of the week for the trainers since they change and see which ones you could beat

I managed to beat one, I just got really unlucky with that freeze. the yellow haired dude with persian, electivire, glaceon, gliscor and mega blaziken is the only one I am able to beat consistently without the help of pots. Haven't tried yet on other days.

I use Rhyperior(77), Wailord(79), Noivern(67), Typhlosion(79) and Zebstrika(79) next to the Aggron/Drapion(with exp share).

btw, is there an easy way to show all my mons with their levels and moves here? Because I also have a few in my box that I don't use for this fight, but that I have used for switching when battling other gyms.

You could take a screenshot and post it in the text box. The trainers are around level 75 right? I usually just lead out with the pokemon that can ohko/2hko then switch accordingly and try to power through. I'm not sure if the trainers change when you get more badges, but I train on the elder on wednesdays that use delphox/chesnaut/greninja/goodra since I have fast hitting pokemon

I have trouble with most of them, but my mons aren't as strong as I like. I usually search for weaknesses of the pokemon I'm facing/gonna face and have a team with multiple STAB moves so I can plow through them. I heard that traded mons are easier to level, so I might need to switch to a traded one if I wanna level fast... :/ I think I can manage it by repeatedly beating the one trainer that is easiest per day, but it still won't be as fast as I like. Are there other good spots to train besides the clown in the circus and the trainers in the Grand Hall?

Also, do you think I can beat Addrien with that team?(Aggron, and Drapion instead of Noivern)

the team isn't bad, you can also sweep him with a combo of toxic and venoshock, or just keep spamming cross poison and iron head/tail, sludge wave is also a nice move

What levels do you recommand both to have? 78-ish? Also, would Aggron's Heavy Metal ability + Heavy Slam be useful for beating Addrien? I don't really know how strong this combo would be on his pokemon, because of the weight thingy

Depend on their level, go to Pyrous Mt., and beat the bottom level torkoal over....and over....and over...and over again. That is what i did with Mamoswine

For the level try getting them to around level 77 , and yes heavy slam gets a boost from the ability heavy metal

Dude, try the clown in Agate Circus. One hour will make the Pokemon to lv 80 ;-)

I was able to win against Adrienn with Mamoswine's Icicle Crash and Magnezone's Flash Cannon. I had to make Zororak hold a berry that made him attack first regardless of speed (Department store Lv 10) in order t use Scary Face against Mega-Mawile. Also, Once xe used Hurricane and the mist disappeared, the battle was much easier. Thunder wave worked against his Pokemons ^.^
