IntSys
The Jade Emperor saw the rapid decay of Reborn City, and shed his tear over the iron jungle. The tear split into two. A dark, muscular dragon, and a white, feminine dragon. They flew over the skies, discussing what they should do to restore the city. The discussion lasted for days. Eventually, they reached an agreement - They shall morph into a human together, embodying their thoughts. The human shall carry out both of their plans, with conflicts kept within the battle of minds. They used up most of their powers to form a neutral human, named "Tao". Unsure about the human's ability to simply survive, they accompanied the human as "partners", albeit significantly weaker than their usual selves. Knowing that they cannot catch too much attention until their powers are restored, they made a deal to not appear in the battlefield at the same time, until they were strong enough to fend off large amounts of hostile threats. They had also realized that their sheer presence causes caught Pokemon to be unable to fight alongside them, so whatever battle Tao faces, there won't be any allies unless there's another trainer. Tao disguised themselves as a challenger of the Reborn League, and took the train to the infamous city... -RULES- I can only take on Single Battles and Tag Battles with one of the two Pokemon until both of them reach Level 50. I cannot have any other Pokemon aside from HM Slaves. Zekrom and Reshiram start at Level 5. Dragon Rage is deleted due to how powerful it is in the early game. Impossible Bosses can be skipped, but I'll definitely find ways to get past them.
IntSys
Part 1 - Arrival Spoiler Tao stared blankly at the Tourmaline Desert. The sandstorm clouded a part of the arid wasteland. The faint outline of a structure can barely be seen. And then, the train went into a tunnel. When the view brightened again, the gloomy slums and alleyways were at sight. Well, this is what they're supposed to fix, right? A woman by the name of Amethyst came to them and asked for basic information, almost as if she's distracting us from the unpleasant view. Except their name and their gender, they faked the rest of the background information. Just when she was about to let them go, a loud alarm went off - a bomb? The train stopped at Grandview Station. In emergency, the woman grabbed them by the wrist and pulled them out of the station, which immediately exploded after. What the hell? As if the city hasn't given enough bad impressions already, now this? That's one more thing on the list to fix. Come on, let's stop sulking at the mess. We'll get to the bottom of this. Whoever's behind this, he's going to be SO dead - wait, is that a CHEERLEADER? Oh, Pop Quiz! Are you going to take on the Reborn League? Of course we are! Why else would you come to this hellhole? We did come here to fix everything. ...Right. So that's a Yes? Yes. Correct! Then I'll be seeing you very soon, because I'm also the Electric Gym Leader! The Electric Gym is the first gym? She must be the lousiest of the bunch, then. No matter how lousy she is compared to the other leaders, she's still stronger than us. We'll see about that soon. I'll be looking forward to your challenge, so go on, get down to the Grand Hall already! Tao walked through the lower Peridot Ward, avoiding the beggars. They made their way to the Grand Hall, where Ame greeted them. There was another girl at the counter, Victoria. Ame took Tao upstairs first to choose a starter.Oh, oh! I know, pick Mudkip! Why? Because it evolves into a Ground-type Pokemon! Perfect for taking on Julia. It won't even matter. They're mentally incapable of fighting alongside us. Well, we have to pick one, or she won't let us go. What's your choice, then? ...I don't know, actually. Then we're taking Mudkip. Settled? All right. Let's not keep Victoria waiting. Which one did you pick, Tao? As if we'll tell you. It won't hurt to tell. If she's going to pick a grass-type, we'd have an advantage. Oh, don't worry, I won't pick just to beat you; that's silly. I already know which one I want anyway. Good to know. Ame then took Victoria upstairs. Footsteps came from behind...Tao turned to see a purple boy with a funny hairstyle. "Heyyyy, you're cute." Zekrom, don't say anything, I'll handle this. Watch and learn. Tao raised their eyebrows, acting confused. "What? Haha, no, I didn't say anything! Hey, was Ame just here?" Tao nodded and pointed toward the stairs. "Ohhhh, so she's with someone else. 'Kay~ My name's Cain, how about yours?" Tao quickly gave him his name. "Tao...Pretty name. So by the looks of it you just got your first Pokemon. Are you gonna challenge the league? I'm not exactly a new trainer, but I-- well, I had to leave everything behind due to some... circumstances. Sooo, whaddya say to a battle, Tao?" All yours, Zekrom. With pleasure! Boss #1 - Cain Zekrom and Reshiram's IVs. Spoiler Moves: Thunder Fang / - / - / - Moves: Fire Fang / - / - / - Take this, Thunder Fang! One more, and... Piece of cake! "Cute AND talented~ Very nice! C'mon, let's get our Pokemon healed up. There's a center built in right over here." Tao and Cain walked to the Pokemon Center. Even though Zekrom left the battle without a scratch, they used the healing machine anyways. Victoria immediately asked for a fight, as Amethyst takes Cain to register. Boss #2 - Victoria Hah, I can take three of these Tepig at the same time! "Wow... I don't know what to say! You're no ordinary trainer, are you..." "Heyy, Ame is waiting for you guys when you're done! I'm gonna hit the road. See ya~" "Oh, good. Let's go get registered for the League!" The two went back to the counter, and received a Pokedex, a Pokegear, and Running Shoes - sponsored by Silph Co. Ame and Victoria left, leaving Tao alone. Tao went to the Electric Gym, only to see a note telling Julia to go to a factory. They went there, and saw a boy instead of Julia. "Ugh, where are they? They said to meet at the old factory. Maybe they meant the other factory. They should've specified." "Hm? Hey, what are you looking at? Got a problem? I hope not. You don't know who you're messing with. Name's Fern. I'm the cool cat, and the top dog. Got it? Cuz I don't think you do. Get ready for a lesson in class!" Reshiram, I'm not comfortable with fighting this jerk. How about you do it? Leaving the worst for me. Alright. Boss #3 - Fern Spoiler U He never stood a chance. Perhaps he'll become a bigger threat in the future. Unlikely. "Whatever man, I don't have time for this. Unlike you, I have places to be, and people waiting for me. So what if you're doing the Gym League challenge? You don't even have a badge yet? Talk about lame. Maybe you should go work on that. I, however, am required elsewhere." "Later, loser!" Tao came back to the gym, hoping to finally challenge Julia. She appeared, but she's going to another factory, saying that it's a hideout. They went to the factory and tagged with Fern through the whole factory. Eventually, they found an admin of the crime syndicate Team Meteor. Julia and Florinia took them on, and Tao and Fern faced the two lackeys he had. I feel right at home! Let me wreak havoc. I'll steal the thunder from Fern! Boss #4 - Aster & Eclipse Spoiler Bah! Chewing on the Magby burnt me! But, it won't matter anymore, with me having this! Take this, Ancient Power! Darn, Fern got the last hit. Julia set the factory to self-destruct, and everyone ran out. Before Florinia parted with Tao, she left them information on Electric Terrain. Way to sell Julia out. After scrambling through the gym, Tao finally arrived at the arena. You up? Of course! No. You got the last one. Now it's my turn. Then why did you even ask me? To sass you. ...... Boss #5 - Julia Take 1: Oops, AFTERMATH! (P.S. The game still takes me as the victor, but I can't just win like this!) Take 2: AFTERMATH, AGAIN. Take 3: Yeah, only Contact moves trigger Aftermath. Clear! Those Sonic Booms really hurt like nothing else I've felt before. I guess she did go boom with them. She also gave us the TM for Charge Beam. A decent move for you, I guess, but I'd appreciate it more if I can learn it. Unfortunately we're not Mew. "Tao! Did you win your first badge? That's great! I was thinking about challenging Julia, but I heard something awful! Apparently something weird is happening in the Obsidia Ward. The plants are coming to life and attacking people. As soon as I heard, I knew I had to go over there and see if I can help! I'd stay and talk more, but I need to hurry! Bye!" It was almost as if the problems just came up because of our arrival. They were going to happen anyways, with the whole city being so chaotic. On the plus side, we're making progress! The city will become an utopia at this rate. Let's be more real here. Unless some divine force or a really convincing figure appears, it's going to take at least an year. We ARE the divine force. Go and get'em! Tartar
Seems like an interesting run you've started. Though despite having 2 legendaries, you'll probably struggle quite a bit later on. Zekrom and Reshiram versus Arceus is going to be fun.

IntSys
@espeon860 I had them injected into my game through a request on the Request-A-Mon thread. Part 2 - Pulsating Vines Spoiler Tao headed east to Obsidia Ward, but they encountered Florinia and a police blockade.Tao. Greetings. However, my immediate departure is necessitated. Obsidia remains in a volatile condition. My attendance is mandatory. Farewell. One of the policemen made way for her. Reconsidering... Tao, are you attempting to access the Obsidia Ward? The area remains currently restricted for all outside civilians in reaction to the damage currently being inflicted. However, given the previous assistance granted at the factory, an exception may be possible. Florinia turned to the policemen. This person may be able to assist the present situation in Obsidia. Is passage permissible? Uhh, sure thing, Miss Florinia. Very well. Access granted. Situation briefing: An unknown force has recently begun continual engagement in the over-stimulation and manipulation of malignant flora life. Cause remains unknown, however previous incidences of this behavior have resulted in large-scale destruction. Objective: Isolate and eliminate the source of the extraneous growth immediately. The target area has been narrowed to the Obsidia Park, hosting the majority of floral species in the ward. Operation assets will assemble there. Do attend shortly. Farewell. Florinia left east. The policemen clearly only understood the "permitting passage" part. ...what? I'm just gonna go by Victoria's information. That was pretty much what Florinia said, yes. Tao strolled through the Obsidia streets, looking for a way to the park. They came to a daycare, and after a series of questions, the couple's disguise were exposed, and they were quickly beat. Tao then looked around further and finally noticed a winding path to the south. The locals told them about the slums, but that did not halt their plans. However, Victoria stood in their way. Tao! I'm not sure what to do. The main road is blocked off thanks to the plants destroying the city... The only other way through is through the Obsidia Slums, down this way. I went in there, too, but it's dangerous! All these men kept trying to attack me, and it was like the debris in there was moving on its own! Tao, are you going to go through the Slums? Tao nodded. I was worried you would say that. Isn't there anything I can say to stop you? It's really not safe. If you think you're strong enough, then prove it to me! Come now, you gotta hand this one to me. And I will. Show her what you got. Boss #6 - Victoria (Round 2) Spoiler You'd be right on that one! Step up your game, Victoria! Easy as usual. Ahhh... Maybe you'll be all right. Fine... Just promise me you'll be careful, okay? Keep a sharp eye. And, good luck. Victoria gave up and left. I'd appreciate her tagging along through the slums instead of that. I guess she was really traumatized by the street rats living in there. Fair. We'll have to do this on our own, then. Tao entered the Obsidia Slums. A grimy place, it was. Even more so than the gloomy streets outside. The hobos were mostly drunk or mad, scorned by the society, and left here to rot. A weird box kept barring their access, but eventually they made it to the end. ...a Scraggy? A gang of Scraggy lead by a Scrafty suddenly appeared, ready for battle! Oh, come on! Even the wild Pokemon are against us? They must have taken the place as their hideout. Look, they even control the shutter behind them. How do people get through the slums, then? I doubt if the place even gets many visitors usually. However, that's not our main concern now. Get ready to fight! Boss #7 - Pokemon Gang (Scrafty) Spoiler Tough bunch, but he's gonna need a stronger move than that! Payback! The Scrafty reluctantly unlocked the shutter, revealing a passage. He left upset. Tao exited from the slums through the passage. The policemen held up another blockade, forcing them to go south into Coral Ward instead. Why didn't Florinia pass the message around? Surely she could permit us passage through more than just one subsection of the ward. She's probably still preparing the 'operation assets' she spoke of. Talk about inefficiency. Wait, look. Over there, at the dock. Oh, hello! Sorry, could you hold? That Oshawott is trapped over there and I need to get it to safety. I'm a Water Pokemon Trainer, but if any Pokemon touches the lake, it's going to be seriously hurt! Woah, Florinia wasn't kidding about the toxicity of the water here. At this rate, we'd need to get Suicune to help us out. We'll manage. The city probably has a Water Treatment Center, so perhaps we can go there and see what's wrong soon. Heyyy, Tao! A hint of fragrance approaches, piercing the putrid smell of the lake. It was Cain! Hmmm~? Making friends in high places, are we? Ahaha, I wouldn't necessarily say 'high places'. Tao looks a little lost. This is Amaria, one of the highest-ranking Gym Leaders in Reborn! You really didn't know? Can't tell, honestly. It should be pretty clear by now. Oh? Tell me, how did you tell? Any person here with remotely outstanding gears must be an important figure, especially one not concerning about their livelihoods. On top of that, she did say she has a type specialty, so that narrows down the possibilities by a lot. ...I...never mind. Really, it's no big deal. More importantly, we need to figure out what to do about Oshawott. Oshawott? Ohhhh, is it trapped there? And here I thought you two were just staring off into the sunset together~ PRIORITIES, CAIN! If it can't get out of there, it'll be in serious trouble! Nah. What? Cain suddenly started singing. Why are you singing? Grimer, I choose you! Cain singed on, as the Grimer swam to the lighthouse. Heyy, Oshawott, hop on! The Oshawott rode on Grimer, which ferried it back to the dock. That was fantastic! Yeahhh, I get that a lot. Usually from boys though. Great work, Grimer! You can return now. Welllll, your Oshawott is a-okay. Later, then~ The Oshawott chased after Cain. Awwh, he seems to have taken a liking to you. Huh? Well he's a cute little guy, but I usually make a point to stick to Poison types. Sorry, little one. The Oshawott defiantly pressed on. Heyyy, you don't listen, do you? I dunno, he seems pretty set on coming with you. Surely he can be an exception, right? Fiiiine, the pretty girl gets it her way~ Ahaha. Still, Oshawott seems a bit jittery to me. Heyy, heyy, no reason to jitter, jitterbug, you're in good hands~ Maybe it would do Oshawott some good if it had a battle? Tao-- that was your name, right? Would you be willing to give this little guy a workout? I've heard worse ideas. Well, Tao, here's our rematch~ Bah, I'll take it. Boss #8 - Cain (Round 2) Spoiler Sorry, buddy. You still got a long way to go. Well well, this adventure's heating up~ I didn't expect Oshawott to be on the losing side! I'm sorry, I didn't realize how strong Tao was. What?! How little faith do you have in me? That Nidorino definitely looked more intimidating than you were. Shush, you. Well, Tao's full of surprises, and in all the right ways~ That saiiid, I gotta get back to the Wasteland. I told my sis I'd meet her out there, and then totally got sidetracked. Somehow I didn't think I'd accidentally pick up an Oshawott of all things. Oh well~ Cain hurried away. That's a relief. I hope he takes great care of it. I should probably get back to the Obsidia Ward. I kind of left Rini hanging, huh? Oh, you know Florinia? You're the one she said helped at the factory! Well, what are you doing here then? Actually, what am I doing all the way down here? We should both get back to the park before it gets much worse! Come soon, okay? Tao followed Amaria all the way to the Obsidia Park. There, Amaria gave them TMX1 - Cut. I heard that these HM-like TMs can be forgotten easily. So, how about you take it? Oh well, might as well as use this to get rid of Imprison. Zekrom cut down the tree blocking the park. Florinia and Amaria took the lead, but they were quickly captured by some unknown forces. Tao stepped forward to greet the new threat. I TOLD you they would get here too soon! If you had made this machine go faster... No! Tangrowth wouldn't be able to take anymore! The speed has already been optimized. Be glad the Pokemon was able to capture those two girls. You're really strong to be able to do everything so well, Tangrowth! Hey! How much longer are we gonna ignore the other problem? Oh, hello. Um, my name is Lumi-- Only three of you entered? We expected more. Three are easy to deal with. Um, it might be more polite if we introduce ourselves. I'm-- ?You've already introduced yourself, Lumi. Needlessly, at that! I, however, am Zero. I am Eve. Collectively we are referred to as ZEL. And we're not gonna let you touch the PULSE! But that's probably what you came here for, right? All of the growth here is a result of this machine. And Eve built it all by herself! Correct. The Link System is a simple hybridization-amplification mechanic. So with that machine behind it, it can manipulate even the smallest root into a massive arbor wrecking ball! Think you can stop it? Just try! Let me handle this. My flames are the perfect response to this overgrowing monster. Boss #9 - PULSE Tangrowth Spoiler Bah, what a monster! Even with that machine, you're still far from my par! ...This is why you shouldn't talk so much, Lumi! Zero, next time, rather than showing off the mission's keystone, let's fight with our own Pokemon. I'm sorry, Tangrowth... I should have intervened. Stop yelling at me! You said this machine was supposed to make it stronger! Your misjudgment was the key factor. Regardless, with Tangrowth incapacitated, the malignant growth will now regress. So it's all going to go back to normal? Correct. So there's no longer any purpose to remaining here. Recover the model, and escape at once. Hey, Tao, right? Don't think this is over. Nice, you knocked them silly! Anytime. Amaria and Florinia were let go from the vines that captured them. They bid Tao farewell, but Tao still have a gym to conquer! Onward, to Onyx Ward! -End of Part 2-
IntSys
Here's a small update. The next two Tangrowth will have to wait~ Part 3 - Desert Rose Spoiler The sun cleared up, so Tao went and bought several scoops of Ice Cream. They quickly came back on track, to the Onyx Trainer's School. However, just when they were about to enter... Tao. A little birdie told me you were coming here to challenge my sister. But see, I know you, Tao. You don't deserve to challenge her. You're not good enough. And I'm not going to let you. Trey, go tell the other kids not to let Tao in. Skye, go hit the switch for the gate. Maybe you don't understand why I'm doing this, Tao. It's not like I'm trying to stick up for the Flobot. But it's a matter of our family, and our school's pride. And you're not worthy. The shutter closed down, barring the entrance. Now he has crossed path with us for the second time! I really want to just tear through the shutter now. We'll find a way around it. It's not like this is the only entrance. Detour it is. Tao entered the school from the main entrance, fighting multiple lackeys of Fern's, before finding Fern, standing just before the door to the room of the arena. Sigh. Those dumb kids can't do anything right, can they? Look, Tao, really, don't take it personally, you're just a loser. Plain and simple. So really, by not letting you embarrass yourself in our gym, I'm doing YOU a favor. And you won't even thank me! But it's fine. I got ya. Now, just turn around, go home, and give up. ...Yeah, I didn't really think you'd be smart enough to listen to me. Fine, have it your way, man. Okay, now, you gotta let me do this one. Sure, except I'm 100% more suited for the bro and the sis. Fine. Boss #10 - Fern (Round 2) Spoiler Same could be said for you, really. Still just as weak. ... You're infuriating, really. You think you're SO cool, just because you're doing the whole Gym League thing, huh? No, you know what? Two can play at that game, Tao. If a second rate trainer like you can do it, then I won't have any problem sweeping the Reborn League. I should thank you, Tao. But I'm not going to. I've got things to do. Later, loser! Fern left the building, seemingly toward to the Grand Hall. Tao stepped into the arena. Welcome, Tao. Your assistance in Meteor-related affairs is appreciated, however, that alone fails to merit the appropriation of a badge. In order to determine eligibility for badge-ownership, further testing is required. Do not mistake the impartial application of these tests as unthankfulness. It is simply procedure. Accordingly, let us begin. Audience, please take notes on standard battling procedure. The demonstration will commence. Hypothesis: Subject possesses insufficient data for conclusive results. Expected outcome: Failure. Now, before I fight, I should suppress my powers a bit, seeing that I'm dangerously close to reaching above the cap. Let's see...I'll just have to take one of these Common Candies. Boss #11 - Florinia Spoiler Take 1: Leech Seed + Smack Down + Super Potion = Oops! Take 2: Forthcoming... That was close. If all of her other mons were Lileep instead, I wouldn't be able to win as easily. ...Very well. Challenger remains due to receive Canopy badge. The Canopy Badge encourages proper behavior among Pokemon up to Level 35. Additionally, as per custom, accept this TM. Nature Power varies based on the terrain and Field Effects in which it is used. To use it effectively, one must exercise proper knowledge and understanding-- a staple of an effective trainer. Use it wisely. Where do you intend to go now? If you do not have other intentions, I have one final request for you. Because of my status as Leader and faculty at this school, I cannot stray far from it right now. However, there is still a crisis in this city. As you no doubt know, the Jasper and Beryl Wards have been ransacked by the same machination as Obsidia. However, whereas we caught Obsidia in a budding state, we were not so fortunate with those wards. Being that you alone have had the successful experience of terminating the previously active project, I ask you to venture to the Jasper Ward. Discover if there is not a similar plot behind the destruction there. If you will acquiesce, I have created another application that may be of service to you. This -- the PULSE dex -- will install to your Pokegear, and will read data output from the PULSE Machine we encountered before. I have already entered the data obtained regarding the Tangrowth you engaged, but any future subjects must be added separately. It may be possible to find data print-outs for each machine in an area near their application, so remain watchful. I will make preparations for your passage to Jasper. I might wish you good luck, however, luck is merely an illusory essentialization of statistics, and is neither inherently good nor bad. Regardless, farewell.
