Apologies in advance if answers to this question exists, but I have read through a 100 different sites and what not on breeding, and I think, I think that I might have gotten a small hang of it. I started off with my Mankey form very low IV, and now have a Male and Female with IV - 30, 30, 31, 31, 30 30. Both Male and Female have the same. I also have a few others with just 1 or 2 IV's different. But now can someone please tell me what is the next step to make all those into 31 perfect IV's? I tried using Destiny Knot, but I end up with baby pokemon with like low IVs then. I dont know what im doing wrong.

If you use destiny knot only 5 stats from the parents is inherited by the baby and the last has the 1//32 chance of being 31.

Destiny knot works like this.

It picks 5 stats out of 12 avaible ( Means from both male and female parents) and transfers it to baby

(Inherited stats are random from parents. It may pick attack stat from male, and defense from female for example.)

Assuming you have 2 pokemons at 6 31 IV. If you have a parent holding destiny knot, it will pick 31's from both parents and 6 th IV will be randomized, means u will have a 5IV guaranteed baby pokemon.

Wrong assumption here is that destiny knot transfers the IV's from the pokemon that is holding it, thats not true at all.

Another example is this, lets assume you got 2 parents at 0/31/0/31/0/31 and 31/0/31/0/31/0. If a parent holds a destiny knot, u may end up with all zero, or all 31.
