Riolu Event not working?

Ok, so I'm trying to get that Riolu egg from Ametrine Mountain by defeating that Lucario. But I can't trigger the event. I've talked to the old man that tells you how the mountain is "harsh and unforgiving" and if he wonders if "that pokemon is still out there..." Yet when I go to the spot where Lucario is meant to be at with the egg (the cliff just above the entrance to Ametrine City from Ametrine Mountain), I don't find Lucario. Is there something else I need to do? I've beaten Blake, beaten Terra, helped resist Team Meteor at the house, beaten Ciel, and helped Ame, Arclight, and Victoria with the Meteors in the city. I've checked Day, Night, and Morning and no sign of Lucario. Did Ame just take out Lucario from the game? And please don't link me any YouTube videos, I've looked at all the ones that show the Lucario event, they're not helping me.

Talking to the old man triggers the event, but it doesn't cause Lucario to appear at the cave. There are a number of places you have to find Lucario before you can get Riolu. The first place you find it is at the very northwest of Ametrine on top of a building. You don't have to climb to the top of the building or anything, you just see it up there and it'll hop away. If you've already seen that, go talk to the old man again. If you get stuck any more I'll try and help how I can.

May i see a screenshot because i have you may be in the wrong area is it by a building or cave

Thank you so much! I got it to work. I tried looking for instructions online, but most videos skipped a part and I never saw the Lucario on the rooftops. Cheers mate!
