Bazaro Posted January 20, 2017 Share Posted January 20, 2017 So for you creepers who spend every waking moment of your routinely life monitoring Episode 17's development progress bars, you may have noticed that sprites are at 99%! "But Bazaro, what about the last 1%? Why are you bringing this up?" Well, to preemptively answer your questions, I have been in charge of making Reborn's very own custom shiny sprite for... *drumroll* Silvally! "Well if its only one Pokemon, why is Silvally taking so long to make?" 18 forms, front and back aside, I've decided to turn this into a HUGE spriting project where every form has a completely different sprite. Let's take a look at regular Silvally: Reveal hidden contents Silvally has many chimeric elements, such as reptilian claws forelegs, a silver-feathered canine-like head with a beak, purple bulges on its hind legs, and a fish-like tail. The most notable aspect about Silvally though, is the large fin on top of its head. It changes colors based on Silvally's form, but that's not all. The inside of Silvally's tail, the irises of its eyes, and the bolt-like objects on its cheeks also change color accordingly. "We know this already, why are you telling us this?" Well... With the custom shiny Silvallys I wanted to go above and beyond, emphasizing on its ability to change its type. So with Silvally's shinies, I have been completely altering portions of its body to give a more "elemental" vibe to the Pokemon as a whole. I've also included a few aspects of custom Pokemon into the forms, to also show off Silvally being a crude fusion of several other creatures. "Golly Bazaro, this all sounds really neat, but why are you telling us all this instead of just showing us the sprites and being done?" I'm glad you asked, random-voice-inside-my-head-number-eleven! I've been pretty busy with life and various other projects around the forum like the Redemption League which you should totally check out like right now and haven't been able to keep up with the sprites very well and I don't want to be "that guy" who delayed e17's GenVII release just because of some crazy ambitions I had. So here's the TLDR (finally amirite?): I want more people who can help finish the Silvally sprites so we can get this show on the road. I have a few done as examples already, and I'll continue to put as much time and effort into this as I can. So here's the Master List. I'll keep up edits with it whenever I can. If you do decide to help, leave a comment on which type you would like to reserve to work on. Front and Back sprites need to be done as well. Please leave your sprites in your post or PM them to me over the forum and I'll put them here myself. Normal: Bazaro (Done) - Back Reveal hidden contents It's Gladion, I don't regretti Fairy: Bazaro (Done) - Back Reveal hidden contents Psychic: Unclaimed Reveal hidden contents Fire: Bazaro (Done) - Back (WIP) Reveal hidden contents (I just made the flames for the backsprite so far, anyone's welcome to finish it) Fighting: Unclaimed Reveal hidden contents Rock: Bazaro (Done) - Back Reveal hidden contents Ground: Unclaimed Reveal hidden contents Electric: Bazaro (Done) - Back Reveal hidden contents Bug: Unclaimed Reveal hidden contents Grass: Bazaro (Done) - Back Reveal hidden contents Ice: Unclaimed Reveal hidden contents Flying: Unclaimed Reveal hidden contents Water: Bazaro (WIP) - Back Reveal hidden contents Dragon: Unclaimed Reveal hidden contents Ghost: Zumi (Done) Reveal hidden contents Poison: Zumi Reveal hidden contents Dark: Zumi Reveal hidden contents Steel: Bazaro (Done) - Back Reveal hidden contents Notes: Try to avoid changing the Elemental Colored parts (cheek, eye, tail) at all costs. The head fin is okay to change though, as long as the focus is on the parts sticking out the back. With the rest, get as creative as you want, as long as you stay true to the Type and stay true to Silvally's general assorted body parts. And I'm obliged to tell you to have fun. Yay fun. These sprites are saved as 192x192, It'll be easier if you changed them to 96x96 when working on them, and back to 192x192 when posting them. I started Steel's Front sprite and Fire's Back sprite but I ran out of ideas/energy respectively, so I'll pass the reigns for now. Currently, I'm working on Rock while tweaking Water and Fairy. Typical Seriously though, these are all looking great Baz, I'm looking forward to seeing what you and others do with the rest of them, I'm so glad you went with the Gladion idea for normal Silvally!
