Anyone remember this and also this topic from some months back that I forgot to update? Yeah. The run actually got completed, and I'm here to tell you the tale of how a brave warrior and his soldiers liberated Elibe.

Now that that's out of the way, you're fully up to speed with how my Fire Emblem 7 run with custom units went. I'd like to call it Dorcas Emblem, but there's already a hack with that name sooo...

 

BUT! It's been several months since Dorcas and his army beat the hell out of Nergal's forces in Elibe now. It's been a good few months. But this was not meant to last, for a new challenge rises!

 

CUSTOM FIRE EMBLEM 2: SACRED BOOGALOO

 

Yeah, you heard that right. I'm doing it again, this time not with Fire Emblem 7, but rather Fire Emblem 8, The Sacred Stones. And once again, I am opening up submissions for my run. And once again, there's a template and everything that will be used to sign up characters because I'm very professional and send help Sacred Stones sucks compared to Blazing Sword.

Oh yes, we are back in business. And as the sign-up template is back, another thing returns as well.

As before, no Dancers because one is enough, no Manaketes because I like to keep my game nice and un-broken (lol as if), and no Soldiers because Soldiers are godawful garbage. Also no monster classes. I originally wanted to allow monster classes, but decided against it.

So basically, you can take the base stats of these characters, and add 13 points to them to complete the base stats of your level 1 character. Should you decide to nerf a base stat of a class, for example, a male Knight with only 8 defense, then you're allowed to invest one extra point in another stat for every point you subtracted. Then, add 300% worth of growths, and the character is finished!

Oh, you want an example of what could be a submission? Just scroll down to the end of this post, because apparently Rebornevo does not like spoilers inside spoilers, and threw the example to the end of the post.

Still reading, are you? Good! Because there's another thing you may be interested in. You see, Fire Emblem 7 only worked with 'regular' units. You can reach level 20 with them, promote them from level 10 onwards... But in Sacred Stones, there are three certain classes that don't follow these rules. Every person who has played The Sacred Stones knows what I'm talking about.

The trainee classes. Trainees are much, much weaker than the regular classes, but on the other side, they level a lot faster and they get 10 extra levels compared to regular units. I will be accepting a maximum of one Journeyman, one Pupil and one Recruit. Nothing more than that. And it's probably going to be first come, first served.

 

Because trainees would be very powerful if they got the same boosts as regular units, I decided to allow only 10 extra points to be allocated in their stats. They still need a total of 300% growths, though.

I've boosted the base HP of the Fighter with 6 points, the Strength with 3 points, the Resistance with 2, and the Speed, Skill and Defense with 1. That brings the overall total to 14 allocated points, which is one too much. So I subtracted one point in his Constitution to make the total 13.
