"That's the beauty of photovoltaic cells," Alexandria informs Atton and Doherty, "They have no moving parts, which as you might imagine makes them very low-maintenance and user-friendly.  You just plug them into a battery, the battery into whatever you need to run, and the panels in the sunlight.  Or in this case on the roof of the transport.  Battery technology can get complicated, but for a relatively simple, low-to-moderate draw mechanism like a gasoline-based ground vehicle, a simple one should suffice.  Just remember to immediately jettison the battery if it is ruptured.  Once it starts leaking corrosives, Mr. Battery is no longer your friend.   I can make it bullet-resistant, but bulletproof is unfortunately out of my reach with the materials at hand.  And I'll need to replace the panels if they get damaged, but they should be able to resist machine gun fire of up to fifty caliber rounds.  They can get tougher than that, but not without heavy industrial machinery to do the manufacturing."

Once the sheets have been completed, Alexandria starts slowly running her hands down them, leaving behind a dense web of silvery lines, and a dull black surface on the other side.  "The silvery side goes down; the black side goes toward the light source.  The blue wire is the positive lead, the red wire is the negative lead.  They can be cut like wood, along the grain of the silver wires, without breaking.  You can fit them to your roof that way.  Mar!  Do you have any good acids or bases?  Ideally ones that won't eat through metal, of similar strength to each other."

The specialist had started taking notes on a small and equally grimy looking journal as soon as Alexandria started speaking, almost dropping his pencil when she mentioned how durable it was "That's almost stronger than the armor we have on the half track, and you're telling me that's just something you're making with your bare hands?...ah think we might need a better half track sir, we're just getting schooled in just aboot everything right now."

"Oh Mar, I'm sure there's some use for something that induces sobriety. Humans tend to lose some fine motor control when drunk, so this would allow them to regain that after a fair amount of drinking, I would think. And. . . if that still seems useless, perhaps you could reserve it as punishment for the unruly, or enemies that we take alive?"

Edmond asked all this as he leaned against the workbench, watching Lancer carefully. Given that the plush had recieved little instruction on what queries to answer, it would be quite interesting to see what the first things it attempted would be. The actions might give some indication of how significantly corrupted it still was, among other things.

"I wouldn't wish that on a Trespasser" Mar only slightly jokes.

"I have not yet tested it, but I may have a substance resistant to bullets that I can produce." Mar says to Atton and Alexandria.

"Synthetic Adamantium absorbs kinetic energy, and slowly releases it as heat."

At Alexandria's request, Mar digs up a jar filled with a preserved stomach and an oil covered rock, channeling his power into them, he creates a bottle of pure hydrochloric acid.

"Will this work?"

"Ah, the holograms seem to work perfectly," Ritsu remarks after seeing the letters pop up finally. She's also pleased to hear that Lancer feels more to her original form now before thinking on her last question.

"Truthfully, I'm not entirely certain. Right now, the grail is no longer present, and you are able to sustain your own existence. Granted with your current form, the things you can do are...limited. As such, provided you were to accompany us, I would take measures to alleviate that, if only slightly. Naturally during that process I'll listen to any requests or accommodations you may desire, but this is only provided you decide to join us." Ritsu states before pausing as she recalls an earlier remark.

"Once before, you mentioned that God was in control of your actions. Right now, who is in control of your actions?"

I. A long pause, in which the plush seems confused. God still commands that your group be destroyed, regardless of my wishes. My honor obligates me to inform you that if I were given the capacity to fight at full strength once more, that I would turn that strength against you.

Alexandria cautiously dips a finger into the bottle, and it strips the finish right off.  "That can work, but it is a bit stronger than I was anticipating.  I will need a liner for the battery that is not metal, because this will eat through metal.  Or a resilient casing material that this cannot eat through.  Hydrochloric acid, I think this is.  Nasty stuff.  Useful, but nasty stuff."

"Oh, that's lovely. But it's nice that it's got its sense of honor intact. I'm unfamiliar with a great deal of magic, Ritsu, how much do we know about the corruption and stuff that the Servants experience, and whether it's something detectable by the powered individuals in our group?"

Edmond turned to the plush for a moment. "You say, regardless of your wishes, you're ordered to harm our group. Do you have other, contrary wishes that you're stifling to follow the mandate of God?"

"Truthfully, I'm uncertain as to the exact details of the corruption but...I may be able to search for it, though I can't guarantee success. Anything past that I cannot say. Entities such as this aren't something I've come across much in my life," she responds before waiting for Lancer's response, which will likely affect future actions.

"I see. It sounds like us cooperating with Lancer is not an impossibility then. Rather..." Ritsu pauses before performing a quick scan on Lancer, and sure enough finds a source of corruption, a group of tendrils poking into her spiritual core. "It seems there is a need to deal with this 'god', though magical purification isn't exactly my strong suit, nor do I have any materials on hand that can handle such a matter," Ritsu remarks before looking at Mar.

"Mar, would you happen to have a substance that can absorb corruption or purify an entity? Something like that could help with removing the corruption in Lancer."

"Oh, that's high praise actually! So, what exactly is this corruption? Is it like. . . a magical virus, something that'd spread if given the chance, or is it something that's sorta contained and can't really grow on its own?" Again, his own inexperience with all this felt blindingly apparent. However, he told himself, there was no better way to familiarize with the more strange and unusual powers than a project like this. And he himself had helped with the amplifier. Sort of. It hadn't been totally necessary it looked like, but he'd made it nonetheless on request.

Thinking aloud to himself, he said, "Hmm, I wonder, do you think that Atton has any abilities regarding this? He seemed fervently religious in battle, and perhaps has some power in this domain, given that Lancer sees the corruption as God." Edmond raised his voice a bit "Mr. Atton, do you have a moment?"

Atton's engineer slowly picked up his pen and continued writing as he asked "Ah'd need to put it through rigorous stress testing first, and ah'm already worried that it might turn our Half Track into a hotbox after a sustained barrage, but it certainly sounds promising, especially if we can design the plates to channel the heat away or convert it into useful work.."

"I can... check." Mar says, thinking.

Pulling out a chunk of Lapis, and a piece of chocolate, he mixes the energies from them together, creating a purple, brown mass of liquid energy.

"This magic will cause a fever, intense and uncomfortable"

"It may cure spiritual maladies."
He says, looking to Lancer.

With the energy in hand, Ritsu applies it to Lancer, making sure to observe the corruption and how it responds. And fortunately, it does appear to affect it, although slowly. Lancer herself starts to appear woozy and asks for an explanation, which Ritsu provides as simply being the side effects of a treatment for an abnormality inside of her. Once applied, she looks over to Mar.

"The good news is, this treatment is effective, and should deal with the corruption. That being said, the process will likely take some time, and a few more treatments, but it should work in the end," Ritsu explains to him and the others around.

"Oh, excellent." If Atton had noticed, Edmond will appologize and indicate that nothing's needed.

"Do we have any estimates on how long 'some time' will be? A few hours? Multiple days or weeks?" Edmond asked the android maid.

"It's hard to say for sure. I wasn't exactly designed to do things like this, nor do I have that much information on this sort of matter. However, I can say with confidence that I can determine when the treatment is complete. So until then, we will just have to wait," Ritsu explains before tilting her head.

"Perhaps I should respec myself so that I can better perform magical treatment operations? Well, I don't have the exact materials to do such a thing often, but being capable in such a field would be quite useful. Hmm..." Ritsu mutters, mulling over her options as her tail sways.

"So what it comes down to is, you don't really know? That's fair, at least you managed to get something that works."  Edmond gave a small laugh, and then continued with more curiousity.

"That'd definitely be useful, though it should be balanced against whatever specialty you'd be giving up. As far as materials go, is there anything particular that you need? I can keep an eye out or maybe help if there's something particular you need done. I can offer my small talents as an engineer, and, while I'm admittedly not very good at all, I've been practicing some small amount with magic, so maybe with time I could integrate that a bit more into my specialties. . ."

"Truthfully, expanding my medical capabilities would merely be an extension of an existing skillset within me, rather than replacing any other skills. It's more a matter of reordering priorities if anything," Ritsu explains. "As far as materials...magical metals, mana sources, or other such things would be useful to examine and take notes on. Furthermore..." Ritsu stops as she begins looking over Mar's stone tablets.

"I'm going to spend some time looking through these tablets. Though I may not be able to perform the skills required to act on this knowledge, being aware of it could be of use if I need Mar's services in the future," Ritsu finishes as she starts scanning through all the tablets present.

"Do not forget, I am no magician, truly." Mar admits.

"My true skill lies in Flintknapping.  If you have need of something broken perfectly, or to make broken fragments of something which cannot normally be fractured, I would be far more serviceable in that regard."

For Atton, Mar produces a piece of Synthetic Adamantium.

"What would you like made of this, for your testing?" Mar asks.

The engineer scratches the back of his head for a moment before he finally says, "A kettle, I want to know if it will start to boil if we fill it up with running water and shoot it a couple of times with the browning."
