David0895 Posted January 27, 2017 Share Posted January 27, 2017 (I don't know if I can write this here, so if someone corrects me, I would appreciate) As you all know, 7 gen introduced the Poke Ride, that removed the requirement of Hidden Machines to access in certain routes or even continue the story. If this feature (or something similar) would be reaaaaaaaaaaally awesome. I suffered too much when I taught Waterfall to Milotic to go down into the Water Treatment Center... Seriously having to carry Rock Smash on one of your pokemons for the 9/11th gym is beyond annoying. It gets even worse when you need Surf, Dive AND Waterfall to traverse certain areas. Greninja always seemed to have one move he didn't need, so I would keep switching which TMX he had. Having the Tm for dark pulse freed up another spot for the few times I needed two at once. If some new system comes, I hope it's not PokeRide honestly. While parts of it are cool, some aspects have never made much sence, even for a Pokemon game. I can't confirm this for E16 right now but in E15 you could make the Pokémon you're surfing on forget Surf to learn Dive or Waterfall and forget Dive while underwater (needed for resurfacing though), so basically you only need one moveslot for all the water HMs. Surf and Waterfall are the most reliable Water-type moves, so keeping one of them in the 'battle' moveset isn't that bad.
