"Wait- " The door was slammed shut again. Halley knocked the door once more. "I'm here to pick up the grenades." She shouted. Strangely enough, Visrii did not reply through the comm crystals. He better not die. The SIN goes away with him if he does...

Edmond sat bolt upright in response to the cackling and the alarm, and promptly slammed his head against the roof of the coffin. Oww... He sank back down, rubbing his small injury.

"A violin? I suppose we can stop by...it won't take more than an hour or so, right? I need to get back in contact with some of my friends." He opened the door to his coffin, and slid himself out with his belongings. He stepped over to the coffin which Theo occupied, and rapped on the door.

"You awake? I'm going to be going down to an apartment building to pick something up. Do you want to stop by the Pirate so that everyone knows where we are? Or do you want to tag along?" After allowing Theo to make his answer, Edmond pulled out his map, and set towards the Huxtaby building.

After a while Solomon shouts out the barely audible words "The grenades are with Izumi, also what warehouse?".

Edmund would find the shotgun's response to come with a rather excited tone, like one talking about his most prized possesion "YES! It won't take more than a hour, just take a taxi; the place is near the coast, it isn't a very valuable violin, just one of sentimental value".

"Ah. Good. I used to play some myself, a while back..." Edmond flagged down a taxi, and handed over his crestick and told his destination. He sat in the back seat, pondering what the others who had not been involved in the murder fiasco...That would be...that jumping guy...what's his name?...also Izumi, and that Katsuo person...This is going to be an exceptionally difficult mission to pull off with so few people...

"The warehouse of- bah, never mind. Where's Izumi anyway?" Halley asked in return, her back against the door. She looked around. There were still a few people sitting about in the bar, but they didn't look like interesting individuals, nor did they look like they're bounty hunters.

What a night... As his first sleep in this otherworldly realm, The Bullet's night was restless, beset by dreams of his homeworld and what could potentially become of it should he fail here. He truly must stay dedicated, for who knew of the consequences of doing otherwise?

Shaking the sleep out of his body, he approaches Halley waiting at the door to the lounge. "Good morning, Miss... I don't believe I caught your name. What exactly are we doing today? Is it something to do with the room behind this door?"

"Hi, er, Mr. Bullet? My name's Halley." She hastily introduced. "Behind this door, there's this guy called Solomon. He's my only hope of further information right now. If we don't get the information we need from him, we'll have to wait in the bar for awhile."

Ah. More locked doors. Sighing, the Bullet faced towards the door. "Well, miss Halley, do we have anything we could potentially bribe him out with? I do not know of the customs of this world, but that tends to be a fairly universally known practice."

When the Fire fades... its old guards awaken...

Visrii... are you ready?

Visrii...

Visri...

Vis...

And there he saw it. The Fire, its light, its life giving light, burning itself, consuming itself, ripping itself apart from the darkness that had sprung within. The air was filled with rotten ash, poisonous clouds wafting through, corroding what was left of the holy grounds. Suddenly, there was a crack, the impossibly high, impossibly large shadow, collapsing on top of Visrii, swallowing him in its infinite midnight...

Then Visrii opened his eyes, breathing in air so rapidly that his chest hurt from the strain. His whole body was covered with sweat, the sheets twisted with what was apparently his struggle against his nightmare. As he usually did, he pieced together his mind and got back his strength - until he felt a piercing shock on his shoulder. The flame. It's dying. This fact burned into Visrii's mind as he crawled out of bed and looked about.

...what is this?

He remembered having the conversation with Lukas before he apparently was transported here. There was no memory in between. He immediately charged up the comms crystals and contacted Halley.

"Halley! Give me sit-rep!"  When he got no response, he tried again. "Halley, this is Visrii. Respond!"  Was she in danger? Was he in danger? Was anyone else in danger?

He realised quickly what had happened. An AMF. Something arcane was stopping him from contacting Halley. He felt a tinge of nervousness when he realised that he couldn't contact his fr-no, his team members. He couldn't afford to have his own preferences in the way of his operation. That too, included Wolfe, Wyvis and Lukas. They were better acquaintances. None more.

He slowed his pace of thinking and examined the room. There seemed to be no hostility in here. But being in an AMF didn't explain this either... what was going on?

He cautiously retrieved his weapon from what appeared to be an umbrella stand, and burning it, stored it as ash. Then with equal slowness, tried to open the door to his room.

A book falls on top of Halley, it is called 'The Idiot's guide for social situations', after a while a sound vaguely recognizable as vodka being drunk follows Solomon saying "You do realize that it is very rude to talk about someone right next to them while acting like they don't exist right? Also I don't fucking know where Izumi is, she went somewhere with one of my phones, I don't know where she is".

Edmund would find himself staring at the faux marble facade of the not very large Huxtaby building, it had a rather small amount of windows, and it had several large lion statues decorating the place, and a rather large and well maintained garden, with several shrubbery sculpted into various shapes, mostly lion shapes.
Yet despite the general "High end Hotel" Aesthetic present in the staff, most of the people living here are hanging out in their pajamas, trenchoats, leather jackets, and that one tusked man walking around wearing nothing but a pair of slacks; some of them are carrying rather if seemingly ornamental weaponry..
In general Edmond would feel that this building is meant for a better class of criminal, the kind that has grown rich enough to invest in marble walled apartment buildings and non obviously threatening weaponry.

Visrii would find the door has rather stubbornly remained closed.

"Fine!" Halley yelled back, throwing the book on the ground. "Just, tell me the number. I'll borrow a phone later."

She sighed and looked at the book. Does he treat everyone like idiots? She kicked the book away, sliding under a nearby table.

"So where do we go now?" Edmond muttered to the gun. Those around him seemed likely to have made their way in the world through organized crime rather than petty theft and street gangs. He slowly walked through the lobby, heading towards the elevators, awaiting the spirit's directions.

Solomon proceeds to tell Halley the number in a way that does not involve anything of interest other than the number, a wall of books prevents Halley from even seeing the door immediately afterwards.

The shotgun made slight up and down movements, as if it was attempting to shrug, it then said "First things first, try to pretend that I don't exist, you are a stranger with a loaded weapon walking into their house, you will have body parts lopped off and suffer a fate worse than death if they see me, but anyway go to Apartment Three B, it is on the third floor, because duh; take the elevator".

Halley memorized the number immediately and walked to the bartender. "May I borrow your phone for a second? I need to make an urgent call." She asked the bartender.

"Right." Edmond kept his eyes downward as he made his way over to the elevator, and ascended to the third floor. There were a few doors, but he headed straight to the one marked B, and attempted to open the door.

The Bullet followed behind Halley, while she waited for the phone. "Uh, miss... Would it be of too much trouble for you to enlighten me on the other members of the group who are with us? It would be nice to know my lieges in this fight against multiversal destruction."

"Uh, I think it's better if you just ask them as you meet with them. I'm sure they can tell more about themselves than I ever could." Halley replied with a light smile, she then turned back to the bartender.

The bartender wordlessly hands Halley a disposable phone as Theodore enters the club without any problems or interesting sights, other than the bouncer high fiving him and him passing two musclebound men fighting each other using their fists and a nearby derelict building while a woman runs away from an ancient jukebox playing the song "Why can't we be friends".

Edmond would find the door to be quite locked, and there does not seem to be any obvious way to open it, but after a while the shotgun says "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?".

Surprisingly enough, Lexiel's ill advised experiment does not lead to a catastrophic explosion, and instead successfully upgrades the weapon.

2d3+1d8+INT instead of 2d3+INT

Special quality: Ride the lightning: Half of the weapon's damage is treated as lightning damage, the weapon now propels the dart using silent bolts of lightning.

Edmond shrugged. "54, I suppose. Why do you ask? Also, do you have any advice on how to open this door? It is your place after all...it might be nice if you could get it open." Edmond frowned a bit, halfheartedly kicking the base of the door. He was a little perturbed at the nonchalance of the shotgun. Edmond had hoped to have been in and out of the building quickly, as, after all, he had other things he intended to do today.

Halley took the phone and dialed the number given by Solomon. She thought for a second, and decided to make a change in the plan.

*beep*

"Hi, Izumi. This is Halley. We're pretty much ready on this end. Meet up at the Psychedelic Pirates ASAP if you're ready as well."

"What? Forty-two? I'm certain that's not correct...so I just need to say forty-two? Does that open the door somehow?" Edmond placed n emphasis on the word forty-two, and then tugged at the door handle again. Returning to a topic that had occupied his mind on the way over, he pulled out his phone, and searched through the contacts list, to see who was there.

Edmund would find that the door clicked open the moment he said the words "What, 42", the shotgun does not comment on the door opening, although you can't help but feel like it would be smiling smugly right now.

Edmund would find the following contacts:

Prick

Dry cleaner

Izoomi

Other phone

EXplosive Runes

Lodge

Other Prick

Armstrong

Oh...wow. I have Izumi's number, the lodge, and...Armstrong? Isn't that the guy Halley killed?! "Just a moment" Edmond muttered, more to himself than the shotgun.

He sent off one message to Izumi: "In case you aren't aware, some of our compatriots attempted to assassinate someone and got their faces all over the place. Try to maintain a low-profile, as infiltration will be difficult if more people are wanted. Try to keep them from doing more damage if possible."

To the lodge: "Don't ask me how I got this number, but I'm the guy you sold the shotgun to yesterday. I'm currently at the his old apartment. How much danger is there in being here and following his directions in general? He told me he just wanted to pick up a violin."

To Armstrong: "Is this the person who was assassinated yesterday?"

To every other contact in the phone: "Who is this? I'm not sure how this contact got in the phone, but I'd like to know who this is."

Finishing this, Edmond stepped through the now open doorway and inspected the room around him.
