"This vest's better than I had expected." Halley patted her vest and stepped a few feet closer to the wall. She took a deep breath and yelled, "Hey, sucker! Take a load of this!"

She bent her knees slightly and opened fire at the guard relentlessly.

Action: Basic Attack on Leopard Guard F.

Lexiel summons some Dragon Fodder, and orders the goblins to defend her.  The goblins find themselves some rocks and silverware, and start making obscene gestures at everything that moves.  But they do position themselves between the archangel and the incoming fire.

Round Two

For those on a high salt, low fluff diet

Leopard Guardsmen E is feeling rather gentlemanly today, and she decides to teach the halberd carrying interloper who is currently in a rather interesting position with her wrong tree teammate by only leaving several dozen marks on his skin with her non lethal, yet extremely accurate gel rounds. Dealing 6 points of damage.

Leopard Guardsmen A would have successfully thrown two throwing knives and brutally murdered one of Lexiel's goblins with each thrown knife, but rather unfortunately Frank's rather sudden movement thrown him off balance, causing both knives to clutter harmlessly on the floor with a commanding shout of "Goddamn it Frank! Not again"!

Halley deals a whopping amount of damage with her rays, a quite intimidating 2 points of damage, yes my friends, the gigantic number two.

The opposing and quite imposing Leopard Guardsmen F retaliates by slashing Halley with the right kind of cut above the eyes, that would have bled if Halley actually had any blood to spill, it dealt an equally intimidating 2 points of damage.

Lexiel summons several barbeque covered goblins, this causes her to become a much more attractive Sniper Bait.

Leopard Guard B tries to suplex Izumi and take her down without any lethal damage, but rather unfortunately he was knocked away by Goddamned Frank again "Oh fuck you Frank, have you taken your medicine yet?"

Leopard Guard C who is also known as Frank quickly rose up from the ground and tackled Izumi with a perfectly executed Suplex. Granted he did knock away both Leopard Guard A and B in the process, but he did 8 damage and suplexed her so who really cares anyway?. He responds to their complaints with a cry of "WRRRRRYYYYYY"

While Visrii tries to escape using his superior Dexterity, Leopard Guardsmen D, also known as Wrong Tree Hill for reasons we shall not describe here. Continues to try and knock Visrii out with his suplex of doom, he only manages to deal 2 damage to the tough bastard.

Visrii is presumably contemplating his life choices, but mostly his navel.

Did you know that being suplexed hurts? Well Izumi certainly does.

The dust settled, leaving an extremely disappointed Halley and an equally disappointed guard facing each other once more.

"Tsk, I don't have all day!" Halley fired another paralyzing shot at the guard.

Action: Blaster - Paralyzer against Leopard Guard F.

It was at this point Visrii wondered if something had gone off in the Ios and now the chances were always stacked up against his favor. In the past 2 days, he had failed to do so many of the things he should have been able to accomplish easily.

Then again. Doing favors for that prick Solomon was probably where it all started.

...

Damn it. If I start missing people like Lukas and Melina that's where I know I'll die.

Visrii tried again to turn the tables by using his halberd to twist out of the man's grip and strike him down.

[Use DEX to escape suplex. If successful, use Thunder Strike, dealing 2d4+DEX+SYN damage]

Round 3

Leopard Guardsmen E "Yukkip" casually shoots a goblin in the head with a live round just to see what it does while also trying to not notice Wrong Tree's Wrestling match too much. She is rather disappointed to find that the goblin does nothing other than dying.

Leopard Guard A "Samuel" narrowly misses Izumi as she flies towards a nearby window.

Halley successfully weakens the Guardsman with another spray of her patented "Jock B-ware" Paralyzer blast.

Leopard Guardsmen F tries to kick Halley in a way that makes them hurt, but only succeeds in dealing 1 point of damage with his limp....socketed? kick.

Lexiel hits "Samuel" for 6 points of damage, and healing Izumi by 6 points.

Dirty Duncan unceremoniously shoots Visrii repeatedly in an area better known as his spine while he is being suplexed, dealing 10 points of damage that hurts like hell.

Guard "C" or Frank clings tightly onto Izumi's leg as she flies towards the window pane, despite his rather precarious position he is completely and utterly unfazed by every single piece of abuse that Izumi would have dealt to herself if she wasn't immune to window panes, dealing 2 points of damage by what he did next.

Visrii is kicked on the face by a steel toed booted Wong Tee Hill in a stunning display of Police brutality, dealing 2 points of damage.

He then picks himself up and fries Guardsman Wong Tee Hill until the man stops twitching, Visrii would then hear the telltale sound of gel rounds being switched with APDS rounds.

Izumi flies like a big, grappled eagle and into a nearby and conveniently located glass pane and into what seems to be a futuristic server room, which is thankfully not currently occupied by a Spider in frank defiance of basic security laws, although Izumi would probably be thanking this fact even more if she hadn't been immediately drop kicked by the Guard from earlier.

Lexiel: 19/40, 1 Goblin left
Izumi: 19/38
Halley: 22/38
Visrii: 5/34, Floor is calling the cops

Samuel's All Guardsmen Party
Leopard Guard A "Samuel": Quite operational
Leopard Guard B "Dirty Duncan": Healthy
Leopard Guard C "Frank": Injured
Leopard Guard D "Wong Tee Hill, It's Wong Tee Hill guys, not Wrong Tree Hill": Crispy
Leopard Guard E "Yukkip": Healthy
Leopard Guard F: Injured, almost completely impotent.

"Oh for- He's still on you?  Lightkeeper of Emeria!  I call you!  Keep these peons from finishing off the edgelord," Lexiel's lesser angel dutifully trots over to body-block incoming fire for Visrii.

Visrii, not waiting for another second after getting out of the grapple, quickly lunged forward at another guard with his halberd aiming at his torso.

Round 4

Leopard Guard E fires a single APDS round at Lexiel, which is rather fortunately blocked by a spear throwing goblin, which explodes into rather messy chunks, but not before dealing 5 damage to Guard E.

Leopard Guard A somehow throws a knife so perfectly at Izumi, that despite almost hitting Frank, immediately curves to hit Izumi twice, dealing 11 damage to her and leaving several pretty little cuts on her torso.

Halley successfully deals 6 points of damage to Guardsman F, this does not cause him to stop however.
Leopard Guard F stumbles back from Halley and swiftly pulls out a rather big pistol and points it at her centre of mass.

Lexiel successfully summons the Lightkeeper to protect and heal Visrii for 8 points of health.

Leopard Guard B hums a jaunty little tune as it ventilates the Lightkeeper, dealing 18 points of damage and being hit by it's bell for 6 points of damage.

Leopard Guard C panics and suddenly discharges his weapon everywhere that isn't Izumi, which thankfully prevents her from being ventilated.

Visrii deals 18 damage to Leopard Guard A with his halberd, and surprisingly enough the halberd did absolutely no damage to the man's armor, although he did pass out.

Izumi fires her weapon at Leopard Guard C, dealing 14 points of damage.

Visrii's weird flame thing deals 10 points of damage to Leopard Guard B.

"Oh, so now you're bringing out the gun." Halley mocked the guard and took aim at the intimidating pistol. A stream of energy blasts came right at the gun, covering the areas where the guard could hide his gun. Of course, that meant even if they missed, they'd hit the limp sucker anyway.

Lexiel has the Lightkeeper of Emeria turn her healing light on Visrii, restoring 10 HP.  Should put him to 15.  Then, shaking off a lingering sense of 'I just got hit by a draw 1 discard 1 effect', she amps up her aura of light, humming a tune that somehow became stuck in her head.  Izumi, Visrii, and the Lightkeeper are each healed for 8 HP, and the music lingers in the air, loud enough to be audible.  "...That felt weird.  Eh, worry about it later.  Come on, y'all!  This is no time to flag.  Feel the beat, and get in there!"

The roar of twin engines dissipated as dropped the final six inches to the floor. Edmond pivoted his head to look around the cubicle which he found himself in. There was a corpse; killed by blunt force trauma it seemed. Not Visrii then, it isn't his style. I'd expect more blade wounds and blood from him. Not Lexiel, I hope. For an angel of justice, that wouldn't make sense. Halley likes her blaster. Izumi perhaps? There was also that other sentient bullet thing...that would make a bit of sense. Good, no need to conclude that there's someone else here killing people in Aztech.

Edmond pulled out the mirror out of his pack and peered around the corner out of the doorway. When he had observed that there was no one approaching the cubicle, Edmond turned to the computer. First he checked whether there was anything resembling external data storage...flashdrives were a thing in this era...

Edmond then turned to the computer which seemed to have just exited a video call, and began to search through the files.

Check computer for files, and if there is an external storage device, download the contents of any files relating to Aztech or illicit dealings.

Spoiler

In DM updates: Edmond, Solomon, and the laughing man traveled to the cottage, and picked up an iron man suit which Edmond flew over to the Aztech building, and then into the hole which The Bullet created.

Let's end this.

Visrii kicked away the guard's body and pulled the bloodied halberd out.

Visrii exhaled deeply, his halberd now burning with intense chaos. With a burst of power he swept in and executed 5 powerful slashes of fire against the nearest Guard.

Round 5

Leopard Guard E cuts his losses and applies more dakka towards Lexiel, dealing 17 points of damage to her

Halley succesfully deals 8 points of damage to the fleeing guardsmen

Leopard Guard F runs away from the battle by running down the hallway Halley is in and heading towards the left.

Lexiel heals Izumi, Visrii, and the Lightkeeper using a song for 8 points of health, The Lightkeeper then shines it's healing light on Visrii, healing an additional 10 points of health

Leopard Guard B shoots the Lightkeeper for 9 points of damage

Leopard Guard C looks at Izumi, and he looks at his broken squad and gets the hell away from the active combat zone.

Visrii then bloodies his halberd by cutting Leopard Guard B repeatedly, dealing 42 points of damage and killing him rather immediately, he then deals 8 points of damage to Leopard Guard E, who passes out from the heat.

After the rather bloody and sudden battle, the room has been filled with an unnecessarily large amount of bullet holes, dripping gel, lava, an actually open flame that has set the bed and various wooden pieces of furniture on fire, and several guns have been left on the floor, including a rather large pistol held by the Afro wearing guardsman, an assault rifle held by Leopard Guard E, a much more reasonable submachinegun held by Leopard Guard B, and the melted remains of several other guns that had fallen into the spreading flow of lava.

Computer Hacking

Edmond would find no external storage devices in the small office, it would appear that Mr. Guadelupe was a law abiding wage slave. Although Edmond could see the remains of a smashed PDA that may have served as an external storage device, and after salvaging a piece of not completely damaged cable from the man's brain, he would find that it fits perfectly into a port on the PDA that Edmond had gotten earlier, and that the other end had helpfully already been plugged into the computer.

Edmond would find a lot of data on the completely and utterly unlocked computer, and he would find that they were all mostly useless and not very incriminating, except possibly for a tiny bit of this message here talking about ball gags and whips, except wait no that was just him talking to his wife about what he wants to do the next time he gets back to Aztlan.

After a while he would have to settle for downloading some locked files about Project "Euhumerous", maybe he can get to work on cracking them later.

Edmond would be surprisingly unmolested by the presence of Leopard Guard, and in fact the office was quiet....a bit too quiet, I mean there wasn't anyone there but some Biker Guy smoking a cigar next to the-wait what, he wasn't there before now wasn't he? And doesn't the man look a bit...familiar? I mean how many Austrian bodybuilders in biker outfits do you see everyday anyway?

We need to go deeper, she's got all this mana it would be a real shame to waste, and any damage to this building is good damage, Lexiel reasons.  After all, she might get lucky and destroy the mission objective.  "Hahahahahahaha!  It's boom time," She crows, raising her arms to the sky.  Blue light blazes from the mysterious vials and tanks strapped to her body, and lightning crackles around her Izzet mana gauntlet.  Then she brings her arms down, gesturing at the floor a debatably safe distance from the group.  "Overloaded Comet Storm!"

"Euhumerous... humerus is the arm bone...better not just be a pun." Edmond removed ejected the PDA, and shoved it into his bag. After a momentary scan of the room to determine whether there was anything else that might prove valuable, he--wait. Edmond stared at his visitor for a moment. How had the man gotten into the room?! he seemed to be the same man whom Edmond had noted in the Stuffer Shack, and who had been on the roof of the gun store. Either he's quite fast, to get from the Stuffer Shack to Weapons World in short enough time to set up the bomb, or he's a twin... Edmond gave a small wave. "Evening to you, too." Edmond braced himself for instantaneous action, and began to step slowly over to the door, in as composed a manner as he could manage. If the man made any sort of sudden leap or aggressive move, Edmond was prepared to have his gun up in a moment to fire. When he was at the door, he used his mirror to peer outside, then, if the hallway was clear, turned back to the Austrian man.

"I wish you luck with finding clues." With that he would step out into the hall, and search for the signs of carnage that he knew the group would leave in their wake.

Visrii retrieved his weapon out of the remains of the guard. There was no blood as his seething blade had cauterised every cut as soon as he opened them.

With a swift gesture, all the fire in the room abruptly went out, leaving only soot behind. He hid his arm, crackling with lightning from the last overcharge he made.

The Fading's becoming worse.

"'Angel', Halley, Izumi. Any of you injured?"

Then again, this 'angel' looked anything other than injured, seeing as she is ready to kill more civilian bystanders.

Ironic. We're here to stop a war and this angel of justice is more than eager to do more damage to this city.

"Whoa whoa whoa,  cut that shit out! We're heading down the elevator shaft aren't we? That floor is not a shaft." She sends Sif flying out ahead of her, scouting out the way to their destination "We need to get going."

Izumi and surprisingly enough Visrii's warnings went unheard as the more than slightly unhinged mad scientist called several large comets to her current position, causing massive property damage on the floors above, and creating a rather large hole where the floor was a couple of moment ago.

Halley would barely manage to survive the ensuing shitstorm of shrapnel and twenty five floor drops by having the good sense to be near a wall and sliding down it, rather unfortunately several guards survived the explosion near enough to take potshots at her and Visrii's falling form, causing them to take half max HP damage.

Izumi would be completely and utterly unharmed by the shrapnel and explosion, despite how little sense the idea of standing right next to a bunch of falling comets and not getting crushed or hit by shrapnel makes. Sif would respond that yes all they needed to do to get to the elevator shaft was to walk down the hallway a bit, but that the falling comets has set the entire facility on high alert, and that there are several young men and women with rather devious smiles and an array of twisted spirits heading her way.

Halley, and Visrii would find themselves inside of the melted remains of an office, they had successfully landed on a piece of rubble that hadn't gotten melted by the lava, although it seems that the only real way to exit the office would be by gingerly jumping on the other not melted pieces of rubble, and climbing up to the floor directly above them, which seemed to be undamaged and better decorated than the one they are in.

The entire room smelled sulfurous, and despite everything it was starting to get awfully hot in here, I mean there was a door, but it is covered with lava, it's a good thing that all of you can fly right?.

But before all of this nonsense happened Edmond had finally started walking towards the empty hallway to try and find clues, when the Austrian man rather suddenly bull rushed him away from the path of the comets, lava and the generously raining shrapnel, even if Edmond had shot the man he simply stood up, lazily tipped a nonexistent hat to the man, and said "You know you have very rich friends now don't you?" before disappearing out of the building with the distinct roar of a jet engine.

It seemed that Edmond's search for a trail of carnage was rather easy wasn't it?

Oh. Hello, friends. I should have expected this...I don't see The Bullet down there. Makes sense that he would be up here, based on the man's wounds...I'll have to find it first. As Edmond concluded that he would have to join up with the main group at a later time, he realized something.

"In the building, in robotic suit. Don't shoot if you see me." Edmond sent this off to Izumi, then, noticing the hostile guards down the hall standing around a door, concluded that the bullet was there. It seemed that they had noticed him too. Might have had something to do with the comet storm that had occurred in his general direction. Edmond made a split second decision, and launched himself directly towards the group. He accelerated, gen out in front, providing cover fire. Human instinctual fear should be enough to get them out of the way. When Edmond pulled up at the door, he leveled the gun, and attempted to blast out the door.
