Yours Truly
Lowlife "The year is 2060, the place...Seattle, you are a newly recruited Power in the 47th Street Angels gang. Your life as one of the SINless has a never ending stream of edge and poverty, but things are starting to look up now, and perhaps you will be able to make your mark in the annals of history....." All-right, so this will hopefully be a light hearted romp through what is otherwise one of the edgiest settings I know by heart, discounting Reborn of course. The players will take on the roles of one of the many Powers (the lowest rank in the 47th Street Angels gang) who are striving to survive another day and achieve a higher rank. But for the most part you will simply die in new and interesting ways, unless the admiral and the lady smiles upon your efforts of course. How Bad is the system going to be? Almost everything in the system will be based on dice, and due to how dramatic things will be, I will only ever use large single dices. For example, an action would be 1d12 + Relevant Stat + Relevant Skill + Relevant Equipment vs 1d12 + Relevant Stat + Relevant Skilo + Relevant Equipment. This only applies to actions that generally involve a living, breathing, metahuman, but of course this does not apply to convincing another Player’s character to do something. Things that don’t involve an NPC in any capacity would be (Relevant Stat + Relevant Skill)/2 + Relevant Equipment vs the Target’s Security Rating, mainly to discourage people from attempting to become the jack of all trades, since the security rating will gradually increase as the group starts attempting missions in places with higher security. Of course this means that the player will always succeed if they can succeed. Battles are meant to be quick and decisive events, and not something that you’d want to be in if you had a choice. First things first, initiative is determined by the simple formula of 1d20+Reaction, and of course the battles will be split in several different rounds, which will continue until one group ends the battle by either decimating the other group, causing them to rout, or somehow escaping. Health in this system is...odd; first things first Health is called Status, and every character has 4 Status points; the character dies if they go lower than 1 status, and status is recovered by certain magical spells and items, and increased by equipping better armor. Dealing damage in this game are calculated by first using the rather simple formula of Weapon/Spell Rating + (Stat + Skill)/2 vs Armor Rating + Physique or Eccentrism for dealing damage, if the attacker’s score is higher than the defender’s score, a single point of damage will be dealt, every attack will lower the defender’s armor rating by 1 until a point of damage is successfully dealt. The entire point of the battle system is to try and place an emphasis on stealth and utility skills, if you try and brute force through the game...then you better bring a lot of body bags. Stats, Skills, Archetypes, and all of the things you’d need to know before trying to build a character At the start of the game every single character will get 14 Karma points for them to spend freely on the various Stats and Skills, this is essentially an abstraction of the money your character has spent in the past, and the training they have taken before joining the gang, the first thing you need to choose for your character is their metahuman race, which determines their stat and skill caps. And the metahuman races the players can use are: Elves: Out of the four non baseline metahuman races, Elves are considered to be the most socially acceptable, as they essentially appear to be tall and thin human beings with pointed ears. This may also come from Popular media’s depiction of them, and the distinct advantage of being one of the first metahuman races to appear in the initial occurrences of UGE, and there have been rare cases of Elves being born before the year 2012 as one of the “Spike Babies”. Most food that passes for Elvish these days is Native American, more specifically the Native Americans everyone refers to as Indian, due to the rather large Native American and Elvish country of Tir Tairngire. Mechanically they get an increased stat cap of 10 in Reaction, but only 8 points in Physique, as their frames and general builds have a tendency to be on the lighter side. Dwarves: Out of the four non baseline metahuman races, Dwarves are one of the more ignored ones, as they appear virtually indistinguishable from regular, non metahuman dwarves, other than their distinctive broad frames and pointy ears. Dwarves are never any taller than 4 feet and 10 inches, and they all share a hardy constitution, extremely strong willpower, and anger whenever someone derisively refers to them as a small child. They are also one of the first two metahuman races to appear in the initial occurrences of UGE, and there have been rare cases of Dwarves being born before the year 2012 as one of the “Spike Babies”. Dwarves do not particularly care about their food, and as one of the more ignored races, there are no dwarven restaurants or bars listed in any travel guides, it would probably be rat based dishes even if it did exist though, at least you still have ketchup though... Mechanically they get an increased stat cap of 10 in Eccentrism, but only 8 points in Reaction, as their short legs prevent them from moving too quickly. Trolls: Out of the four non baseline metahuman races, Trolls are one of the most hated, as their horns and large imposing figure, when combined with their twin tusks has a tendency to unnerve people. As one of the two metahuman races to appear in the latter occurrences of Goblinization, Trolls appear to be a baseline human until puberty, when they start to goblinize and receive their various trademark traits, this does not help people love them even more. They prefer meaty and spicy foods, just like their brethren the Orks. Mechanically they get an increased stat cap of 11 in Physique, but only 8 in Modernity and Presence as very few schools and people will agree to teach them, and as they are not seen as being particularly “Socially Acceptable” Orks: Out of the four non baseline metahuman races, Orks are usually considered to be nothing but cheap labor, and while they are the second most common metahuman race (Only losing out to the incumbent of regular humanity) they are almost as looked down upon as the trolls, they essentially appear to be regular human beings with bulky looking frames, two tusks, and angular looking faces. They prefer meaty and spicy foods. As one of the two metahuman races to appear in the latter occurences of Goblinization, Orks appear to be a baseline human until puberty, when they start to goblinize and receive their various trademark traits. Mechanically they get an increased stat cap of 10 in Physique, but only 8 in Presence as they are seen as being only slightly more “Socially Acceptable” than Trolls. Humans: If you want a general description of how they look like, look into a mirror for once in your life. Humans have the unquestionable advantage of not only being the most socially acceptable race, but also the advantage of being the most populous metahuman race. Humanity has existed before the words “Metahumanity” or “The Fifth World” became a thing, and their foods and cultures are extremely varied. Mechanically they get an increased stat cap of 11 in Presence, but only 8 in Physique as they are the most socially acceptable metahuman race, but also one of the weakest. Inside of this Spoiler you will find the various stats you can obtain for your character Physique: Essentially nothing but a measure of your character’s physical fitness, it is an abstraction of how strong and tough they are. This stat will mostly be used whenever you character needs to fight off physical ailments or act like a modern day techno Viking with a waraxe Reaction: A measure of your character’s reflexes and general dexterity. This stat will mostly be used whenever you need to dodge enemy attacks, sneak around, or use non-thrown ranged weaponry. Modernity: A measure of how caught up with the times your character is. This stat governs how well your character would come off while attempting to seem intelligent, slap some sense into a contact, or whenever your character operates a computational device. Presence: A measure how charismatic your character actually is, it is an abstraction of your character’s raw charisma, self-confidence, and generally how highly other people will think of you. This stat governs how well your character would come off when attempting to make inspiring speeches, convincing an NPC contact to do something risky for you, and how well you get along with your spiritual mentor if you have one. Eccentrism: How out of touch with the meat world your character is. Basically it is an abstraction of how magical your character is, and how well they can resist magical effects. This stat governs your character’s magical potential, and how good they are at internalizing their own problems, so if your Street Samurai ever needs to not get mind controlled and kill off the entirety of the team, you should probably invest in this stat even if you no longer have any magical potential whatsoever. Edge: One of the definitions of the word Edge includes the interesting “a quality or factor that gives superiority over close rivals or competitors.”, this is technically not a stat, and while you can only ever get one at the start of the game (For free, this does not come with a karma cost) that single point in this stat can be spent to automatically succeed in any roll, or cause any other roll to fail, and yes, the damage formula does count as a roll in this case. Essence: This really describes how much of yourself you have lost after applying cyberware and bioware to yourself, or perhaps you have had an encounter with a shadowy spirit that ate part of your soul, this stat starts at 6.0 for every archetype that aren't Deckers or Riggers, Deckers and Riggers start with 5.9 due to the datajack drilled into their heads, the less essence you have the worse you are at using magic, and a magic user wouldn't want to go any lower than 6.0 unless they have a way to make up for the loss of essence. Which they uh, do. You cannot spend karma to increase Essence. Skills: The skill cap is always 1.5 x Stat governing the skill rounded down, and most of your Karma would most likely be spent on improving your skills. Gunplay: This skill is an abstraction of how well your character is acquainted with the entire concept and usage of guns, this is used whenever you need to threaten or attack anyone with guns, or if you ever need to repair your good old weapon of choice. This skill is governed by the Reaction Stat, as gunfights have always been a matter of quick reflexes and dexterity in the movies. Close Quarters Combat: This skill is an abstraction of how well your character can use melee weaponry, and yes this skill is basically the Gunplay skill but applied to melee weaponry instead. This skill is governed by Physique. Decking: This skill is an abstraction of your character’s experience with entering the matrix using the aid of their Cyberdeck and Cyberjack and hack into computational devices, this is also used with computers that do not require datajacks to function. If you want to be as much of a computer nerd in this game as you are in real life, then you should invest in this skill, and expect your grandmother to call you about how her browser is broken any moment now. This skill is governed by Modernity. Etiquette: This skill is an abstraction of how well your character does in social interactions; essentially if you ever feel the need to say or do anything, and want people (Read: NPCs) to listen to you and be convinced, this would be a good skill to have. This skill is governed by Presence. Magical Potential: This skill is an abstraction of well...whether or not they have magical potential, this is used whenever you need to cast spells from any of the three main magical power sources, although your character’s type of magic will be decided by their highest non Eccentrism stat. This skill is governed by Eccentrism. Piloting: This skill is an abstraction of your character’s competence with driving literally anything, this skill is used whenever you need to perform any maneuvers, this can be anything from keeping up with a speeding car inside of your heavily armored van, to dodging bullets inside of your flying drone. This stat is governed by Modernity. Athletics: This skill is an abstraction of your parkour skills, and generally how nimble and mobile you are when walking on foot. this is used to boost everything from movement speed (which is something ridiculous that doesn't actually exist) and to boost your on foot movement. This stat is governed by (Physique + Reaction)/2. After all of this your character’s starting equipment and general background will be decided by the highest stat you have, and the skills you have chosen for your character, this set of equipment and background is called “Archetypes”. Street Samurai: The most common Archetype due to the sheer lack of effort it takes to become one. Despite the name not all Street Samurai are katana and nodachi wielding duelists, as it is simply the most commonly used name for a man who relies on their skill with arms to be an asset for the team in Seattle. It doesn’t really take much to be a Street Samurai, all you really need is to have Higher Physique or Reaction than any other stat, no karma invested in magical potential, and at least one karma point invested in either Gunplay or Close Quarters Combat. Pick this Archetype if you want to eventually crush your foes using Cybernetics; love the idea of being the badass neutral mauve shirted man/woman/other, or if you hadn’t read anything before this very specific section, and somehow decided that I was running a clone of All Guardsmen party. If your Physique is higher than your Reaction, you will start with a Rating 2 Machete and a Rating 2 Padded Vest. If your Reaction is higher than your Physique, you will start with a Rating 2 Hold Out Pistol with 2 full seven round clips of regular 9mm bullets and a Rating 2 Bullet Proofed? Vest. They both start with a single use slapdash patch that heals 1 health point. Decker: You are for all intents and purposes, a computer nerd; this is not necessarily a bad thing, as competent deckers are an important part of any gang’s existence. Your entire job revolves around data, whether it involves manipulating and stealing it, or protecting it from rival deckers. It is quite rare to find a Power that specializes in decking, as not a lot of people are well off enough to have the funds and education necessary for it, but it is quite worth it if you want to have one of the safer jobs inside of the group. Safe in the sense that you are less expendable than a Street Samurai that is. The Matrix is crawling with various deadly and deck frying threats, and all you have is a rating 2 Cyberdeck with capacity for four saleable pieces of data, and a program spread of: 0 Masking (Used for rolls to see if the System Detects your presence if you fail a roll) 1 Spoofing (Used for when you need to download a file without the proper permission) 0 Editing (For when you need to edit a file without the proper permission) 0 Deleting (For when you need to delete a file without the proper permission) 1 Cracking (For when you need to deal with ICE or crash a system) You also have a Datajack to use your cyberdeck properly. In order to be a Decker, your Modernity must be higher than your other stats (it cannot be tied), and have at least one point in Decking. Rigger: You love machinery and robotics in general, you especially love jacking into said stuff and making them dance to your will. Due to your rather low rank and general wet behind the ears nature, you cannot afford an actual drone, but you still have your trusty, mostly made out of duct-tape Rating 1 Sony Cyberdeck, and a Datajack to help pilot any vehicles you may find. The Rigger is always the best candidate for the team’s driver, as they are quite used to piloting vehicles, and they have the benefits of being the least likely to die, and once they obtain weaponized drones and vehicles, they will be able to be quite powerful, but until then you will simply have to be content with plinking away at the team’s problems with a Rating 1 Submachine gun, which is like a pistol, except for the bit where it is harder to conceal. In order to be a Rigger, you need to have more Karma invested in Modernity than any other stat, a Reaction stat that is at least 3, and more points invested in Piloting than in any other skill. Hermetic Mage: You are the kind of awakened to appreciate the art of proper beard grooming, or in other less insulting words you are a wizard, and your entire method of casting spells involves study, supplies, and memorized formulas, a whole lot of them. Despite the gang’s best efforts, the gang’s mages have a rather high mortality rate, this is due to the good old piece of street wisdom “Geek the Mage” this essentially tells the listener to kill the person who seems to be the mage before literally anyone else if possible. But the thing is; any halfway competent mage can turn the outcome of any battle by just being there, presumably by also getting shot to death in the battle. Chaos Mages come with a Rating 1 Heal spell that well...heals 1 point of Status to a single target that can be used every two rounds, a rating 1 hold out pistol with two full seven round clips, a rating 1 set of vaguely armored clothing, and a single use fetish that summons an elemental wind spirit that has 1 HP and a Rating 4 Weapon that deals 2 damage. Avant-Garde Thaumaturgist sees magic as just another way to make beautiful art, and this is demonstrated in everything they do, including their flashy and possibly over embellished rituals, and their glitzy, and some might say gaudy, symbols. They start with a Rating 1 Heal Spell that are a blatant copy of the Chaos Mages spell mechanically, and a Rating 2 FireBolt spell that acts as their weapon, and a rating 2 set of securetech armored clothing in whatever style or color that catches the mage's fancy. In order to be a hermetic mage, you need to have more karma points invested in Eccentrism than any other stat, and more karma points invested in Modernity than in Presence or Physique or Reaction. Shaman: You practice shamanism. Congratulations on being a pagan. Your entire method of casting spells involves attempting to gain the guidance of your chosen mentor spirit on how to utilize your natural magical potential. You have the ability to use a unique totem power granted by your mentor, cast unique utility spells that nobody else gets, and eventually gain the ability to summon a spirit based on your mentor of choice to attack their enemies. A shaman needs to have more points invested in eccentrism than in any other stat, and more points invested in presence than in any other stat that isn’t Eccentrism. But anyway I have these four mentor spirits to use for the shamans in Lowlife: The Bear: Protect your family and friends, grit your teeth and maintain your composure through all of life’s troubles, and never give up, and the Bear will favour you. Totem powers: (Active) “Healing Surge” You flood a small area with low level healing magic which heals 1 point of damage to everyone in the group once per battle, (Passive) “Bear hugs” +2 to rolls involving friends, big focus on healing and toughness in the spells they gain. The Bear’s starting kit: Rating 2 Armor in the form of an enchanted furred winter coat,, Rating 1 Spell that grants a single rating point of armor to a single target with no cooldown and does not stack. The Eagle: Keep a watchful eye, don’t take anyone’s word for anything, and create your own path through life, and the Eagle will favour you. Totem powers: (Active) “Insight” Your constantly watchful gaze allows you to add +2 to the result of two different rolls once per battle. (Passive) “Analeyes” +2 to rolls involving Monitoring something, big focus on buffing aim and preventing the enemy from advancing with their spells. The Eagle’s starting kit: Rating 2 Weapon in the form of an enchanted Revolver, Rating 1 Spell that builds a fiery wall around one target that makes an attack to anyone attacking the target with a close ranged attack which lasts for two rounds and has a two round cooldown. The Cat: Be mysterious and playful, let people figure things out for themselves, treat life like the game it is, and have fun along the way, and The Cat will favour you. Totem powers: (Active) “Just as planned” Reveal what is obviously a secret plan that you have had since the start of the battle to world, this causes you to ignore a single point of damage taken in combat, once per battle. (Passive) “Cat’s Grace”: +1 to rolls involving dodging and misdirection, a big focus on buffing dodging and staying invisible with their spells. The Cat’s starting kit: Rating 1 Armor in the form of a barely enchanted, yet extremely comfortable pair of character appropriate clothing, and a rating 1 weapon in the form of a knife. Rating 1 spell that provides a boost when it comes to tricking security systems, that is automatically on for the shaman, but can be applied to a single character for the rest of the mission once per mission. The Horned God/The Adversary: The Adversary is a representation of Rebellion and Cynicism, he is simply a stand in for every single rebel in existence, to some he is Sid Vicious fighting against the establishment; to some he is the original fallen angel, still rebelling against god, and for others he is a trickster, one who brings change into the world, positive or not. If you are a rebel without a cause, or a dictator and manipulator leading your banana republic against the rest of the world, The Adversary will be there, watching, waiting, and plotting. Totem Powers: (Active) “Spirit of Man”: Summons a spirit with the appearance of a tall and slender humanoid, which latches onto a single target, which convinces them to help the group directly with their actions for two rounds, once per battle, can be used outside of battle with no cooldowns, but only one can be active at all times, and it only lasts for as long as the summoner can succeed their rolls. (Passive) “Duplicity”+1 to rolls involving etiquette and finding loopholes. They have no real focus on their spells... other than being able to buff their Presence. The Horned God’s followers are varied, and he will support both the dictator restricting people’s freedoms for his own personal gain, and the rebel attempting to overthrow him The Adversary/The Horned God’s starting kit: A rating 1 spell that increases their Presence by 1 point that is always active for the shaman, but the bonus can be given to another character instead, a rating 1 spell that heals a single point of status for one character that can be used once every two rounds, and a Rating 1 Powerbolt spell that acts as their weapon Physical Adept: As I once said to a friend of mine to describe Physical Adepts in general “They use magic to become the Bruce Lee of awesomeness” but in all seriousness a Physical Adept has the advantage of looking and seeming exactly the same as a wet behind the ears Street Samurai to any non Awakened (read: magic using) men and women, until they start channeling their magical powers and tearing into the opposition. If the Physical Adept’s Physique is higher than their reaction, they start with a Rating 1 Killing Hands weapon and a Rating 2 Magic Armor spell that needs to be activated to actually provide it’s bonus. Physique based Physical Adept is focused on tanking hits and charging towards the enemy to unleash the Night Train on them and ripping and tearing their guts. If the Physical Adept’s Reaction is higher than their Physique, they start with a Rating 2 Pair of Hold out pistols and a Rating 1 Evasion spell that provides a +1 to any dodge rolls and twelve 7 round clips for their hold out pistols. A Reaction based Physical Adept practices the ancient art of the Gunkata, treating the gun as a total weapon while also not getting shot to death. What a character sheet would look like Name: (Should be self evident, what is their real name?) Alias: (What obviously fake, yet Runyon approved gangster name do they use?) Age: (So that people won't have to trawl through your backstory to find out how old they are) Background: (How did they get here? What skills did they hone in their early life? Shouldn’t be particularly long, but please do try to at least complete the sentence) Personality: (What are they like?) Appearance: (What do they look like?) Archetype: (Which Archetype did you get stuck with?) Stats (28 to spend on both stats and skills at start of game, this means that if you spend all 28 points on Stats, then you just won't have any skills) Race: (Which Metahuman race are you a part of?) Physique: (How fit are they, really?) Reaction: (How dextrous are they?) Modernity: (are they caught up with the times?) Presence: (Are they a force of personality?) Eccentrism: (Feel free to be weird) Skills: (List the ones you have here and put their rating there as well) Equipment: Depends on your chosen Archetype Factions: Downtown Factions: The 47th Street Angels: A vaguely benevolent militia protecting the area in and around 47th Street University way, the gang is led by the only surviving member of the original three Archangels, and the entire ranking system is based off of an odd and corrupted version off old Christian Angelology, with Archangels being the highest rank, and Powers being the lowest and most common rank, their symbol is a winged circle surrounding the number 47. The Ancients: One of the largest gangs operating inside of North America, The Ancients control the smuggling operations to and from Salem, Portland and Seattle, the gang is composed primarily of Elves, and they have a rather marked distaste of baseline human beings. The Ancients's presence on the political scene can be seen as being Pro Elven/Pro Metahuman, although they are currently locked in a war against the Spikes, they are also known for frequently attacking Humanis Policlub members and for butting heads with The Cutters. Their members are easily identified by their black and green leather jackets, and they use the old symbol for anarchy, but with a modification that is specific to each gang. In short, they are a bunch of elves that focus on hit and run attacks and an emphasis on avoiding collateral damage, to protect the environment of course. They are led by an Elf calling himself "Belial", and most of their non square gang names invoke old demonic or pagan forces. The Cutters: A mostly human gang that appears to have ties to the old Russian mafia, they treat their gang like a business, and they have no real identifying symbols, other than the many suits that they wear, and their preference for the colors gold and yellow. And of course there is the rather high amount of brutality they display whenever they need to protect or obtain more assets. The Cutters have a marked distaste of elves due to their ongoing feud with The Ancients, although they will accept members from any other metahuman race, they have mixed feelings about the 47th Street Angels, as the Angels are occupying territory that was once theirs, but after the incident in 2054, they are quite content with simply rebuilding their forces and preventing the Angels from taking any more territory. Their leader is a sophisticated black human called "Blake". The Yakuza: a term used to describe one of the many gangs originating from Japan, they are known for keeping a strangle hold over Seattle's black market scene, generally not the sort of people you'd want to mess with. The Haloweeners: A large and ferocious street gang bearing the symbol of a flaming jack o lantern, every single member is almost constantly dressed in their signature colors of orange and black, and they fight mainly using flame based weaponry, they primarily commit their crimes against the Mega Corp known as Renraku, in retaliation for the gang's almost complete destruction several years ago. Merlyns: The largest wizard gang currently operating out of Seattle, they have close ties with the Finnigan Mafia Family, although most of their membership and activities are unknown. THE EXCHANGE: THE EXCHANGE (always in caps) are a mysterious group with a large network of willing operatives throughout Seattle and perhaps even the world, once you slot in a THE EXCHANGE chip into your PDA, you will instantly become part of their network, and you will be asked to perform odd jobs for vague "karmic rewards" that often come in the form of something good happening for you, although if you refuse a job, or try and quite THE EXCHANGE, you may find that things will start to go badly for you. All you really need to know about Shadowrun All I have bothered to write about the story Picture your average Gibsonesque cyberpunk setting, imagine the ruthless mega corps and their private armies, the wage slaves whiling away their existence, and the many SINless scrabbling to survive inside of the cracks of society; then smush all of this up with bits taken out of a low fantasy setting and now you have Shadowrun.Technically all I am doing is taking the setting and putting you in the shoes of a slightly better than average gang member inside of the 47th street angels, which as previously mentioned is a vaguely benevolent militia that has recruited you at some point in the past. A short (Most player characters die early unless you are really good and intelligent) romp throughout a world that is fail to live in but awesome to play in where you do your best to either pull off inspired yet stealthy heists before the plan all goes to hell and you end up shooting your way out or doing something REALLY difficult. To be honest the reason why I haven't written an actual outline for what the story is like is simple, Shadowrun has always been nothing but a bunch of missions loosely tied together. It is an episodic format game, you do the job, you somehow survive, count your losses, collect your pay, and consider what you are going to do with it until the next mission; this is basically an extremely free form RP. Character limit is 8 until further notice, and the players will be split into two teams of four based on their skill set in an attempt to create two balanced parties. The Rules#1. The first rule of Fight Club is that we do not talk about Fight Club. #2. The second rule of Fight Club is that there are no rules in Fight Club. #3. Remember the community rules? That is still a thing here, if you want to post your character's sordid tales of drunken debauchery and excessive gore, write it down somewhere else, but not here, this is just not the place for that. #4. Have Fun, things won't always go your way, and there is a very real chance of your character dying, but don't worry you can always roll for another one. #5. Have Respect for your fellow players and the GM. Remember folks, no godmodding or bunnying, that is just poor form and well....generally not something I'd want to encourage. Strider
I certainly think this could be a lot of fun. Will probably be fairly edgy, but depending on how it's done, that won't be a bad thing.
Yours Truly
2 hours ago, Strider said: I certainly think this could be a lot of fun. Will probably be fairly edgy, but depending on how it's done, that won't be a bad thing. It depends, are pink mohawks edgy? Because the general tone is something like snow crash as opposed to Neuromancer, since I am treating this like the first Tim Burton Batman movie, and I am not trying to make this seem like the depressing Batman v Superman movie. And yes, I am trying to use the word edgy as much as possible.

Yours Truly
If this ever gets off of the ground, it would most likely have around 8 characters running around in one of the missions I give or wandering in downtown Seattle, but the thing is, I am actually planning on playing this like a game of Paranoia at the start, which of course might mean the death of a character.... Also fyi, team work is hella useful in this RP, you actually want to not be a murderhobo, if only so that you don't end up running out of bridges to burn or cross, or if you'll pardon my bad writing (Since using two metaphors maked them both weaker), you will be up the creek with a paddle....but no canoe. Yours Truly
Not really sure what to do next, other than editing the things here to make an official OOC, I would like to make a Discord server for this, but I think I'll wait until the actual OOC thread is up. Raindrop Valkyrie
Well you can either just convert this one and then change the title ((it's possible from the editor on the main post. just click in the title field and change the tag.)) Or you can create another thread for the OOC. I'd prefer the former since it is less clutter and I will just have to lock this old one anyway. Yours Truly
Turned this into the OOC thread like Hukuna suggested, still haven't written more info about the gang as I have apparently forgotten to do that underneath all of the rewrites. Stay tuned to find out more.
Strider
Alright, a character. "I am really finished, and it should do for now" Spoiler Name: Darien Polk Alias: Bumble Age 29 Background: Since he was a small child, Darien had a fascination with machines. Due to his status as a non-human, he learned only the very fundamentals of how they worked. He was kicked out of his father's house at the age of fourteen because he was simply another mouth to feed who was providing no real income. However, this was in fact a blessing in disguise. He had the good luck to join a (very) small gang for a while in South Seattle. Due to the relative lack of talented people, he was able to perform the task of rigger in the crew. Despite the small size, Darien had the opportunity to learn by experience most of the knowledge necessary for his position. He learned, of course, mostly by doing, and often by failing. This is where he got the name "Bumble". However, that is now all in the distant past, due to a small run-in with the Ancients. Darien wandered the streets for a while after this, and sought out his old home. However, byt this time it was empty, and his father had since died. After a week or so he found his way to the 47th street angels. Personality: Darien is a rather coarse, uneducated troll. He has aspirations , but many are likely beyond his reach. He is vaguely aware of this, and hates humanity as a whole for the race relationship that prevents his success in the world. He has no hate for individual humans though. He can't be openly hostile to humans, because that would preclude the attaining of any of his life goals. So in essence, he is a somewhat nice opportunist, a guy who will suck up to the person in power, even while hating them, in the hopes of receiving benefits. To those of equal station or lower, Darien is simply a coarse guy who loves his job. Appearance: He looks like a troll. However, he is slightly shorter than average, and has a slight limp. Not large enough to affect his movement, but noticeable. Archetype: Rigger Stats Physique:3 Reaction:5 Modernity: 5 Presence:1 Eccentrism:1 Essence: 5.9 (Datajack -0.1) Race: Troll Skills: Gunplay:5 Close Quarters Combat:1 Piloting: 7 Decking: 2 Etiquette 1 Equipment: Rating 1 submachinegun. Rating 1 Sony Cyberjack, Rating 2 Street level contact (Clarice Gottard (A.K.A. Siren, A.K.A. Caramel): An old friend from Darien's old South Seattle gang. Darien is vaguely aware of her status in the Merlyns, and every so often he will contact her to exchange information, or just have a drink. Bismarck
Name: Rorik Alias:An Interesting Guy Age 22 Background: Spent his childhood as an internet troll, intelligent but feels the need to lower himself for acceptance. Spent his entire childhood doing sports he hated for the affection of his parents. Being shut in as a child he has developed to be socially obtuse and rude, making him unlikable by many, despite basing his arguments in reason. He is capable of technical understanding yet he often feels the best response is physical. As eventually all the magic in the world will be useless against rage and the slicing of tendons. So utilizing years of self loathing from doing things he never wanted to do, most problems are simplified. Having the reasoning ability to understand the need to adapt instead of specializing is soon to come into play hard and fast for him. Appearance: Human, average brown hair green eyes. Tall and robust. Archetype: Street Samurai Stats Physique:7 Reaction:2 Modernity: 3 Presence:1 Eccentrism:1 Essence: 6.0 Race: Human Skills: Gunplay:2 Close Quarters Combat:7 Piloting: 3 Decking: 2 Etiquette 1 Equipment: Rating 2 machete. Yours Truly
https://discord.gg/2TXRBDf Discord server is now up, there are currently 7 or so people considering making a character, Rorik is now accepted despite his inherent min-maxyness, Damien will have to wait until Strider03 can actually make his character's non place holder [everything that isn't the stat spread]. The game will start sometime after four characters have been accepted, also @Bismarck, you may want to fix that spoiler.
DarkChampionAkihito
Spoiler Name: Sing Hun Lee; English name: Simon Lee Alias: Soulless One; Angel of Death Age: 21 Background: Originating from South Korea, Sing Hun was born into a middle-class family. However, his mother died from giving birth to him. His father was so angry at him that during his child years, he endured mental and physical abuse. His father was later arrested since the police were able to make a case and lock him away. While he was finally alone, he closed off all of his emotions and his only fear was his father. Later in life, he was left in the care of his grandfather who lived in Seattle and was once an exiled military general. His grandfather lived through many years of change and always hated it. He hated the fact that Korea had fallen so far as to join forces with their long, ancestral enemy: Japan. Due to this fact, Simon was subjected to his harsh and brutal training. Simon learned the ways of stealth and masking one’s presence. His father instilled into him the hate that he bore: that Japan was the sickness to Korea, and only he was the one to cure it completely. Simon believed that he was the key to freeing Korea once more. After Simon learned many of the techniques his grandfather once knew, he sent him to the 47th Street Angels for training in marksmanship, where he learned exceptionally fast how to snipe from long distances. He was given the name “Soulless One” from many of the other gang members. His superior’s gave him a more fitting name: The Angel of Death. In one shot, he could bring justice one man at a time... Personality: After his father’s abuse, he is quite emotionless. He always keeps to himself, and he never trusts anyone at the drop of a hat. He’s pretty obedient to his superiors and quite known to distance himself among a group of people even to the point of completely disappearing. He can be quite crafty when he wants to be and knows how to strike fear into his targets. No one has seen him smile or even laugh after the abuse he went through, therefore, people call him a soulless human being. Appearance: Unlike most Koreans at the time of this century, Simon kept his black hair. He’s always wearing a hoodie with a red x on it and has headphones on his ears. He wears black jeans and a hoodie. His eyes are dark brown and wears mostly black Vans or Converse. He’s not much of a fan of combat boots. Archetype: Physical Adept Race: Human Physique: 3Reaction: 4Modernity: 2Presence: 2Eccentrism: 5 Skills: Gunplay: 5Close Quarters Combat: 1Decking: 0Etiquette: 1Magical Potential: 3Piloting: 0Athletics: 2 Equipment: Rating 2 Hold out Pistols, 12x7 round pistol clips Rating 1 Evasion spell Rating 3 Street level (Ex-Korean Military) Contact Contact: (Rating 3) Jae-Seong Lee Contact’s description: Simon’s grandfather and a member of the Pro-Korean Movement. He got to know Simon when he was given custody of him shortly after his father’s arrest. They developed a more father-son relationship as Simon was curious about his grandfather’s journey through life. Contact’s personality: Jay is quite hateful towards the Japanese. He goes off whenever he hears the very country being mentioned. He’s quite crafty and knows where to get the best information. He’s a bit harsh toward Simon at times in order to mold him into the hero that would save Korea for the better. Yours Truly
It should be obvious to anyone who has read the IC thread, but Aki's character is accepted, that and Eris by S34N1C who I had reviewed inside of the Discord server, only 4 out of 8 though, I guess I should just keep going for now and ignore the disappointment. DemICE
Name: Aerumna Alias: Rec Age:41 (biologically 18) Background: AM SO HOPELESS I TRIED TO WRITE A BACKGROUND AND I WROTE 5 MS Word PAGES OF BACKGROUND (it's not even a background anymore. its more like a story) SO HERE IS A SUMMARY IF UR BORED TO READ THE WHOLE THING He is one of the many trolls who had been abducted from their homes, -either by simply raiding and selling everyone as slaves or simply abduction during the night-, and brought to various facilities as a guinea pig. In his case, it was optical cybernetics development. His left eye's pupil and lens have been replaced by cybernetic equivalents. The pupil can follow movements that are impossible for a normal eye, and also features a function that the scientists didn't purposely implement: it can see the layer that exists behind the first, in everything (for more info read the 4th paragraph of the long background) . The lens, can record, save, and load again, everything that is reflected on them, hence his alias. This way not only he can capture and recall information that is very hard for anyone else to remember, like the whole batch of a source code, but he can learn things very quickly, and not forget. During his many years as a subject strapped on an experimentation table, he was using his eye to absorb every information from every monitor around him, especially from a slacker scientist he had nicknamed the Nerd, who was browsing and playing games almost all the time. After the facility got attacked in 2037 by unknown forces for unknown reasons, the scientists put him in a cryostasis capsule and buried it underground, in order to possibly retain their valuable (after all that work done on him) test subject at a later time, which never came. 23 years later, a human and a dwarf Powers from the 47th street were chasing some "elf bastard" from the Ancients who in an attempt to shake them off had used a cave, that lead in an underground complex which was directly below the remains of the cybernetics facility. he set up a bomb to block their way, which caused the upper ground to collapse, dropping the cryostasis capsule our troll guinea pig was in. The two Powers, found the capsule, and since they were unable to continue their pursuit, decided to temporarily help the troll. After he was revitalised and was filled in with the much required information, they offered to bring him with them back to HQ, as a new Power candidate. When asked for a name, he realised he didn't have one, so he picked a name that he liked from an article the Nerd had been reading. Shortly after, the "elf bastard" had managed to find a way around the blockade, and ambush them, killing them both but getting killed by the dwarf too in the process. Before dying, the dwarf urged him to pick up their papers and head to the 47th Angels HQ with them, report what happened, and join them. Him being talented with computer stuff, and especially hacking, was a key point in persuading the Angels to work with them as a Decker, since they are still having suspicions that he might have been the one who killed the man and the dwarf, despite his physical frailty very clearly indicating that his chances on taking on them and actually killing them would be an impossible task. Nevertheless his work shows so much promise that they prefer to turn a blind eye for on that for the moment. Spoiler Being a troll, would be a sufficient enough reason for a non-human to not have a normal childhood. His past wouldn’t even be considered surprising, if not for some minor details. As a representative of a race looked so down upon, it is not rare for troll infants to be targted by poachers, and get abducted either by a blatant house raid -in which case most people around wouldn't even bat an eye-, or during the silent of the night. He was too little to remember anything from his "normal" life, or his first years in the place that he was kept in for what felt like an eternity. His first conscious memories were blurred by the accompanying pain. Eventually as he managed to endure it, they become more clear. Most of the time he was strapped in some table, and was passing his time by looking at the surrounding monitors, or mimicking the scientists’ hand movements with his own hands. There was also a lazy one, that he had nicknamed the Nerd that was mostly browsing, playing games, or watching videos of human intercourse, but without the biological purpose behind the action, which he always found weird at that time. Yes, he was absorbing everything. After all that was what he was good at, what they made him be. Probably the reason why his initial memories are a blur of pain. His left eye’s pupil and lens, had been surgically cut off and replaced with a very realistic-looking alternative, which had certain enhanced capabilities, like following movements that a normal eye would barely register. The feature that the scientists seem to be cared more about, was the ability to record, save, and load everything reflected on the artificial lens. They would usually conduct civilized, painless research on him, mostly in the form of questionnaires based on things he was ordered to observe and recall at a later date. At other times though, they would replace his mechanical parts with a newer model, and conduct more experiments. They were using anesthesia after that first time, since it seems they had difficulty with him screaming and flailing in pain. When they were not dealing with him though, he was free to use his eye to learn quickly, and never forget, everything he was watching on those monitors. Their content was his world, his entertainment, and his sanctuary. At times he would reload a record he liked, in order to watch it again, like that movie with the plants and the zombies the Nerd had watched. Eventually, after years of continuous screen-watching, he realized that the first feature of his eye, which he considered the least interesting of the two, had an additional function. Whether it was an oversight, or someone’s secret input, he didn’t know. What he knew, is if he concentrated hard enough for his mind to feel like being overloaded, he could see the layer that existed behind the first, in everything. If applied on solid objects, he could either see behind them, or through their molecular structure. If applied on people, he could recognize the lie from the truth, or the sadness from the smile. If applied on his beloved monitors, he could either see the mechanical structure behind them, or the formulas behind what they were showing, including the ever-changing variable values. It was the last part that intrigued him the most. Where others could see text, he could see the javascript. Where others would see an empty box waiting for a password, he could already see the password. Where the Nerd was shooting an arrow, hoping that it crits, he already knew if it would crit or not. The first time he was sure of this function, he overused it to the point of overloading his brain. The scientists dismissed it quickly as something unimportant, after they could not identify any medical instabilities. Of course he would never let any of them know. It would only mean more experiments on him. At 27/03/2037, 02:46:57, he noticed and started following the traces that presumably a hacker was leaving as they were progressing through the central monitor’s security system, then to the research data, a big portion of which were about himself, and then, to the building layout maps, and then nothing. The Nerd, who was on his nightshift at that time, didn’t notice of course. He was busy swearing at some Charlotte game character as he was pressing F12 over and over again. Not that he would be able to notice either way. Some days later, he woke up to the sound of multiple simultaneous explosions. According to the monitors it was 13/04/2037, 04:01:12. The scientist who was in shift was trying frantically to figure out what was going on, then proceeded to make one call after the other. When he finished, he approached the troll strapped on the table. The troll could see the worry in his expression, though it was not for his well-being or anything. He could tell he was about to do something. Once again, he concentrated, trying to see past the layer of his brain, but it was for naught. Even after all this time trying, all he could see was the molecular structure of the brain, but not a single thought. He was no telepath after all. “You a valuable item to us. We will not allow whatever is happening to damage you in any way.” he said as he pressed a series of commands on the monitor. The troll on the table could see where they were leading, and could not help but scream and squirm, even though he knew it was a pointless reaction to the inevitable. Cryostasis. The equipment around the table sprang to life, and began to isolate the table, for a pincer to pick it up, and transfer it to the part of the lab that was behind the table, the part of the lab he had never seen. He was placed in something that seemed like a small case, just barely large for him and his table to fit in. He felt his skin punctured in various places, the needles being connected to tubes, and the temperature gradually decreasing. He kept screaming and squirming. He knew what was going to happen to him, and for the first time since he thought forever, he cried. The temperature kept dropping, excruciatingly slowly, with him crying, for what seemed like hours. At first he left his feet and hands being a foreign object to the rest of his body. He cried even louder. Then it hit him. If he used his eye, maybe he would find a way out of this situation! He stopped crying, concentrated, and starting seeing past the layers of everything around him. Out of his case he could see a material with a molecular structure that was new to him. He could also see that he was actually going down through that new material…. Was the case plunging underground? He cringed at the thought. There was nothing he could do in that case. The despair returned twofold. And there wasn’t even any monitor In that case to distract his attention from it. Eventually all he could feel in his body was his heart beating faintly, and his thoughts were a haze, which was normal since according to the cryostasis sequence, the heart and the brain had to pause in exactly the same time. He cursed his eye for revealing to him all this information, as the last glimpse of his thoughts, feelings, and sight left him. The next moment, he opened his eyes again, but all he could see was blurs, thought they were slowly adjusting to more solid forms. Though one form kept shifting, as if not having a fixed shape. It was a bright orange, and was sitting atop piles of wood. Right, he knew about it from his monitor observations. It was a fire. And in the opposite side of it, there were two people. One was sitting and gazing in the distance, and the other was laid down, sleeping. They were dressed like those militia men in the war games the Nerd was playing. He then rolled his eyes to get a grasp of his surroundings. He was in what he knew as a cave, stalactites and stalagmites decorating the surfaces. What the awake man was gazing at, was a big mass of slowly flowing water in the distance. An underground stream perhaps? He tried to stir, which made a slight noise that alerted the man. “Oh? Look who decided to leave Dreamyland to come back to our humble Earth!” The troll could only dizzyingly stare at him. “Are you alright? Can you talk?” Could he? He tried to put his thoughts in some order and utter something that came out as “..I.. what..”. The man motioned him to pause. “Okay okay, I get it, you don’t have to try. It’s pretty understandable in your situation to be in a confused state. So let me take it from here. We were searching for some bastard who decided to use this cave to try and shake us off. And guess what? He fucking did! Because he set up a bomb to detonate part of a cavern to block us from running after him. That’s where you come in. Apparently the explosion destroyed a part of the cave ceiling, and you fell from there, locked up in THAT!”. The troll followed his pointing, to find an apparently forcefully opened capsule, with a table with straps hanging loose from it. Everything came back to him: the lab, the monitors, the experiments, the explosions, the cryostasis agony. He felt tears forming and trickling out of his eyes. He reflexively screamed and squirmed like he had done some moments ago, and he realized that there was nothing restraining his movements, that was a new feeling. He did not remember any time where he was not strapped on that table, with only his head free to move. He tried to stand up, like every other person he had seen, but failed, and dropped back on the ground. His feet were so weak that they couldn’t do what was so simple for everyone else! He tried again. Once again he fell down. The man, who was watching him all this time got hold of him “Hey calm down! You are still in no condition to do stuff like that! You were frozen man! You didn’t let me finish and I was getting to that part! You were inside there, restrained, and frozen, and your heart wasn’t even beating! When we forced the thing open, some emergency mechanism reacted and stuff was being fed into your body by those tubes. We couldn’t do anything but watch. After some hours, you started being defrost, and your heart remembered how to beat again. So we took you out of there, and tried to slowly bring your body to normal temperature. And then you woke up!” The troll tried to process all that information in his confused state. Took more than one try. What the man said seemed like a very logical continuation of his events, but at the same time so unbelievable. “Wha? The troll is alive after all?” A sleepy but surprised voice interrupted his thought process. The second man slowly raised himself to a sitting position. “HOW can you STILL stay sleeping after all the ruckus this guy made some moments ago? Seriously…. Anyway yeah he is awake, but confused and frantic, and I need your help to calm him down!” The first man said. “..I.. am calm..” the troll said. The two stared at him in unison, eyes wide open. “I am calm … just very surprised”. Yes he regained his ability to talk normally. This served as a self-confirmation that he had indeed calmed down. “What happened still seems like a far-off dream”. “Well” the second man said and cleared his throat, “you might not be so wrong on the far-off part at least. Considering the fact that the facility above us was attacked , blew up, and got abandoned twenty three years ago. You … might have been in cryostasis for those years.. Well, look at the bright side… cryostasis stops your body from aging, so you didn’t lose any years from your life in there, aaaand you get to see a little more of the future than you would have been able to.” Another piece of surprising information to be processed. First try failed. This time he got it the second time. Twenty three whole years. And he still felt like all that happened at most half an hour ago! “Lost in thought again? Hello!” He was interrupted again. He stared at the man, who grinned at him. “Don’t worry, whatever your past was, you keep it to yourself. We keep ours too. Many people in our group have their own messed up past, so it’s an unwritten rule to not dig up on such stuff. By the way how would u like to come back with us after we ‘re done here? We are known as the 47th Street Angels. We belong to the lower ranks. Mostly people trying to survive another day, which I pretty much see in your future too. You could fit decently in there”. “Are ya good with anything?” The second man interrupted. The troll considered the question. What good would some troll strapped to a table for his whole life be at? “I.. um.. can may be good with computers?” he muttered. “Hear that man? The second said jokingly. We got ourselves a hacker! Hah!” The first grinned and then asked the most difficult question so far: “Anyway, got a name?” A name. Such a thing was never needed for him ever. Why would he ever need one in a life where he would just stare monitors, and getting experimented on? But if he would be a part of the rest of the world as of now…. Rest of the world? .. Free? He would really be free? This was such a new expectation, never allowed itself to be thought of before. Tears started forming again from his eyes, but they were from joy this time. He let them stroke his cheek on their way to his chin, as if consoling him for his past, and trying to wash it away. A palm started going up and down in front of his face and distracted him. “Hello? Still there? I just asked for a name dude, I’m sorry if I caused this”. “No, It’s okay” the troll said. He also now noticed how short the second man was compared to the first one. He also had pointy ears and a broad build. Possibly a dwarf, he figured. “As for my name…” he started, and proceeded to try and think of one. He would just name himself on the spot. Nothing wrong with that. He quickly scanned various records with his artificial eye, trying to find something good from all that browsing he had observed. He remembered a specific article, and smiled. He liked that one. “Aerumna” he said. Man and dwarf looked at each other and started laughing. That was not a response he expected, he felt slightly offended, though at the same time a bit happy. It was the first time he had made someone laugh in such a genuine way. “.. haha .. hah .. ha that’s a quite a feminine name you got there, dude. Did they hold you in that facility as a sex change subject? Or are you a Japanese troll, they have names like that!” He felt slightly embarrassed, but he would still not change it. “I like it, its too late to change my decision now”. “Wait so you just named yourself? That’s-“ Whatever he was trying to say got interrupted by a -thud- like sound, and now the point of an arrow bathed in blood could be seen coming out of the man’s mough, his eyes wide open in surprise, which only lasted a moment before he hit the ground, dead. The dwarf screamed in surprise, then swore, and jumped to his double barrel shotgun. “Shit!” He swore again. “That elf bastard found another way around? IM GONNA FIND YOU AND BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT YOU LITTLE SHIT!” He said and started running from cover to cover towards the way the arrow had come from. Aerumna could only watch all that in slow motion with his artificial eye, without actually being able to react to anything. He was petrified in fear, but even if he was not, he would not be able to do anything about it, his arms and legs being as weak as they were from constant immobilization. He concentrated, and tried to see behind the rocky formations for the “elf bastard” When he located him, he figured the elf was just behind the rock towards which the dwarf was advancing, and was about to check behind. The only thing he could do was shout a warning. “HE IS BEHIND THAT ROCK” just when the dwarf was about to check behind it, firearm ready to shoot. The dwarf heard that and in the heat of the moment did not question it. Instead, in an attempt to surprise the ambusher, he tried to jump with as much explosive power he had, to make him miss the arrow, while shooting in the area behind the rock. The yell of pain of a high pitched voice confirmed that the ambusher was successfully shot. In the next moment though the dwarf clutched his chest, and kneeled. An arrow visible sticking out where his right lung should be, uncomfortably close to the heart. Aerumna tried to run, which was impossible, walk, which was also impossible, then started crawling towards the fallen, still alive dwarf. “Hah .. damn it.. ow” the dwarf said in a fit of coughing. “Aerumna was it?” then he coughed again. “I guess I would be a goner either way, but good job on -cough- …on helping me take him with me. I don’t know how did you figure out his position, but u seem to have some qualities”. Aerumna tried to crawl even faster, which was comical enough for the dwarf to actually laugh. “Don’t bother, you can’t do anything about this even if you come faster”. Aerumna concentrated, and tried to see through the shot spot. What he recognized like broken arteries confirmed the dwarf’s claims. “Instead,” the dwarf continued “-cough- just crawl back to our camp, and take our papers. Then bring them to the 47th street Angels HQ and tell them -cough- the whole situation and that we invited you to work with us -cough- ” He grinned darkly.“Go get ‘em hacker”, he said, and didn’t speak again. Twenty minutes later, Aerumna had found the papers, and also their food supplies. Waiting there for his legs to gain enough strength for walking seemed like not a good idea, since they might never do so, after so many years of atrophy. So he wore some militia clothes that barely fit him, stuffed away the papers in his new spacious pockets, tied the food supplies to his neck, and started crawling towards the only way the cave had, since the other side was blocked by the explosion debris. He would later use his eye to try and find the way out. As he was slowly crawling on his way, he reloaded the record of the article he took his name from. Apparently it was the name of an entity of bad luck, which also radiated bad luck to everything around it. A bitter smile appeared in his face. How fitting. He was bad luck personified. And his two saviors were also his first victims. Personality: Aerumna, unlike most ex-test subjects, who would be messed up and devoid from most emotions after long-time subjection to experiments, has actually developed a pretty normal personality, which can also be very sensitive at times, an emotion trained after recording and watching many dramas that the Nerd (one of the scientists in the lab) was watching. Contary to the stereotype of most trolls, after years of continuous absorbing information from the monitors in the lab, he actually has a vast knowledge of things, with the big flaw that he has zero practical experience with them. He is neither a saint, nor a jerk, and will simply try to pave his own, way, while helping where its worth it, if its gonna benefit him long-term, and trying to do it in a way that does not cause -too many- problems to others. He is for the most part, trying to hide the fact that many of his accomplishments are done by abusing his cybernetic eye parts, though it’s not so easy all the time. He is obsessed with computers to the point that if you put him in a room with a computer, food and internet access, he can stay in there for years. He is occasionally being picked on for his feminine-sounding name, but he still defends it with a passion. Appearance: Well, as a troll, he has troll-ish characteristics, he is of average height, though he would be pretty tall if he had received proper nourishment while growing up. Two small horns protrude from his forehead. His left eye, has its pupil and lens replaced with very realistic-looking cybernetic alternatives. He has ginger curly hair, and likes to have it long, and tied in a ponytail. He also leaves quite a good amount of facial hair unshaven. She believes that he is indeed an Ancient spy pretending to work for the the Angels (he has not said he is a Troll), and that he simply keeps it secret from everyone. She still tries to figure out the truth though. She tells him news from the Ancients, while he does the same from his side. Even if it is not confidential information, every bit counts.
