"Nothing much, we just caught a few Pokemon, explored most of this place's expansive tunnel system, broke down some crystal walls, got some metal figures back from a rather naughty Sableye, and generally did our jobs properly". A sudden surge of pressure appear in Sena, a pressure from the dying tree, choices he have to make, and most importantly fear. his hearing has returned, and he knows that everyone's hearing also alright. "you guys can hear me right? If yes... we're fighting that thing. So... let's do this! We don't know what that thing capable of, so might as well study how it will attack." Uno blushes slightly, her pale skin showing at least some semblance of a coloration. Kai picks Uno up and starts their descent. As the two girls fit through the hole, the last sight that catches Kai's eye is an Absol observing them from above... Before they arrive at a brightly lit chamber. Kai jumps down from the hole down to the chamber's floor. It's a small fall, nothing much. Uno, stepping onto the ground, looks around and quickly points towards Terry, who seems to be sitting in the middle of the chamber, legs crossed. "K-kai, who's that man?" She asks. Terry doesn't react initially. Only after opening his eyes to peek through does he stand up and run over to the girls. "You! Kalva, Taylor and Sena have all went ahead. I couldn't follow them. You need to go after them!" He says, pointing at what appears to be a crack between two crystals in one of the chamber's walls. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GROUP 1 (SHELLY, FREDERICK, CATHODE, EMMANUEL & RADOVAN) *+ Betani, Zeta, Clarence & Sableye* Betani catches the Shard. "Hmph. I'm not gonna follow you to that girl's location." She says, arms crossed. "I'll go check out what that Absol was trying to keep you away from. You can go with me if you want." She asks the team. She looked over towards the direction he pointed towards, finding a crevice that she might be able to fit into better than the last one. Kai pulled out her A-Comm before making her way into the crevice, not checking for a signal before leaving a call for the others to hear. “Everyone, I found Terry here, but he’s not with the other Cadets. I dunno if something bad is happening, but I’m gonna go check and see how they’re doing. He could probably use a friend, but I don’t think I’m allowed to be that, so someone should maybe come and get him.” After hanging up and seeing if her call got through, she ran towards the crevice. “Can you fit through here, Uno? While it was important that they make sure Kalva and co. were okay, what if something happened to Betani after she reached the surface as they were busy in the depths of the Nexus? He turned to look at Cathode. She seemed fairly reliable, having escorted Zeta safely."I'll go along with Betani, since it wouldn't be safe to go alone. Take care of Radovan and Frederick and find the others for me, alright? I believe in you," he smiled at Cathode before turning back to Betani, ready to follow her. He shouts, putting a finger into his ear to try and clear it out. "Anyways thanks for helping them!" Uno walks by him, eyeing him carefully, at which he just crosses his arms, snorts, and sits back down. Kai and Uno proceed into the next chamber and...in a moment...they're already wet from head to toe. [Kai's reconvened with Taylor and Sena] Before the Tree of Life stands another child. [Kai has taken Kalva's place in the battle] [Uno joined the battle as NPC support] Taylor, Sena and Kai need to summon their Pokemon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GROUP 1 (SHELLY, FREDERICK, CATHODE, EMMANUEL & RADOVAN) *+ Betani, Zeta, Clarence & Sableye* "I'll be coming with Betani too! Sorry, Cathode, but that Absol... I want to know what it wanted." Zeta says with an unsure voice. Betani looks at her and Emmanuel and flicks her hair. "I can't stop you from coming with me. Let's just move, then." [Zeta, Betani and Emmanuel move to exit the dungeon] Meanwhile, Cathode leads the way towards Kai. Betani leads the way silently, with only her footsteps carrying the weight of her motion. Zeta seems nervous and sticks close to Emmanuel as they walk. She glances around often, most likely expecting the Absol. Emm can't read fear in her eyes, though. It's something else. Something more complicated. Either way, Absol doesn't appear and the trio make their way to the steps leading up. Emm's A-Comm displays a new map. The red dot marks their location. They seem to have emerged outside of the marked map. However, Emmanuel can conclude they came out from a hole beneath the rock formation Suzie was trying to carve a path towards earlier. What changed, however, are the trees. They've all crystallized now. The Beedrill area is completely barren of life. However, that also means that the path to the Wishing Well is cleared as well. Betani shakes her head. "Damn Uno. She disturbed the place by messing with the Shard. Well, whatever, we'll go to the place you marked on the map on your last visit. This seems to be the only way to reach it." And true she was. The cocoon formed by the trees around the Wishing Well wasn't gone. It was just petrified and crystallized. Light poured from the crystals. It felt almost like the group was still underground. "Let's go." Betani leads the way to the Wishing Well. The party arrives at the Well. No water is coming out of it. It's dried. But you can still hear water from beneath the ground. Dripping...like rain. "Oh no! The Well!" Zeta exclaims worriedly, grabbing hold of the well's side, at which Betani pushes her aside to get a better look inside. "What's going on here-?" She says. Yours Truly Posted January 6, 2018 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Radovan patiently stood in place as he waited for the others to choose where they wanted to go, and for good old Red to finally say or do something, anything in response to what he had said earlier. After a few more moments of mostly awkward silence and staring at each other had passed and the group seemed to be on the verge of breaking off into several smaller groups once more, Radovan politely decided to break the ice by coughing just before he poked them on the shoulder and said "Alright, I am heading out, and you should follow me if you want to continue the conversation". He then walked towards the chamber they had found earlier in the hopes that the Absol that guarded it would be long gone by now, and that he would be able to find the exit they were looking for and finally reach the surface once more. He rushed to examine the well. It was no longer filled, but instead, with a glowing pit. The purple glow almost felt familiar, like the other purple hole he had just seen in the video chat with Kai. He looked for a pebble or a fallen piece of branch and dropped it into the well to get a sense of its depth. If there weren't none, he would just use the Glowing Branch Poochy's holding instead. InnocentSerenity Posted January 6, 2018 Share Posted January 6, 2018 “Environment anomaly: Rain underground.” Kai ran towards the tree, covering her eyes in reaction to the glow before they finally adjust to reveal the three Cadets, running to their side. “Hey guys, what did I mi-” The girl cut her speech off as her energy seemed to drain away as she got closer to the tree. “Energy depleting..” She put her hand to her chest, the rhythmic beat of energy slowing down. To add to the distress, her legs seemed to be having trouble keeping her body up. Looking around the room, the only thing that caught her interest was the tree, the blue eerie glow telling her what she needed to do. She looked at her allies, finding two of them ready for battle while the green-haired boy seemed occupied by the pressure. “Stay in the back, Kalva. Your friend’s got this.” The girl pushed herself into a straight posture before giving a smile to the boy. Her eyes seemed to have less of an energetic glow to them, barely noticeable and only to anyone willing to pay enough attention. Kai swiped the Aether Ball on her waist, not making quick movements to keep her energy up. “I'm ready to go!” The girl cheered on, knowing the danger she was in if this presence wasn't eliminated before her energy depleted. With a simple throw, Broughton was released onto the field. "Let's fight with everything we've got, everyone." Broughton came out of her Aether Ball ready for a fight, with what could be assumed to be a glare towards the tree. The Crabrawler tried to act tough by standing up straight, clearly using much more energy due to the heavy gravity from the pressure. Reaching where Kai was, she found no one, and a hole in the room was suspiciously implying the other girl's destination, especially after noticing that her signal was now lost too. It seemed pretty steep but if Kai could go down there why not her too? She was partially wrong. Just after halfway, she slipped and tumbled down the rest of the hole, falling painfully flat on her ass. Groaning, she shakily stood up and gazed around the new place. Life without danger holds no meaning. Wishes become but fleeting thoughts. A group of braving young Cadets' journey began when they met the Nexus Girl, Zeta. A legend of life and death told by the mysterious strangers. Explorations of the inhospitable underbelly of the Crystal Mines. Uno. Betani. What do these two adopted sisters want from the Tree of Life? The way to find out the truth has been slammed open by the group that made it to the Tree. Taylor, Sena, Kai, Kalva and Uno engage the Tree led by the vision of unyielding death. The 8th Aspect. Life and Death in stasis. Hold out until the rest of the children come. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ EMMANUEL and RADOVAN *+Betani, Zeta* Radovan catches up with Emmanuel and the girls. Zeta addresses both Emm and Radovan, urging them towards the Well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE TREE OF LIFE KALVA, TAYLOR, SENA, KAI *+ Uno* CORE PHASE CONTINUES Verna tries to blow the wind at the Tree of Life using Gust, but as she readies her wings, she suddenly realizes there is an extreme sense of weight pressing down upon her from above. Not only that, but her energy seems to be dwindling... It must be the effect from the Tree. More specifically, the move Gravity. It's why the water is pouring upon you as well instead of flowing upwards. Verna cannot stay ariborne anymore. [Verna is grounded] Uno follows Kai and gazes upon the Tree. "It's the Tree of Life! I-L-Lampy, let's go..." Lampy nods and runs up to join the fight. "O-oh Mr. Terry, I'm glad to see you're okay. Clarence was indeed a big help so far! She said smiling shyly to him. What is this blue shard? O-oh! More importantly, before that, Mr. Terry! We found two mechamons down here! One depicts a gabite, and the other a pokemon that looks like a porygon2 but... a bit different... Clarence claimed that you might know about the latter one!. "I'm sorry but I still can't hear ya. I can't hear anythin. Watch out with these crystals. They seem to reflect attacks somehow." He raised an eyebrow tho when she retrieved the P-AZ mechamon from the A-Comm. Cathode can't really see clear enough in the bright light but a blush seems to appear on Terry's face as he observes the toy. "O-oh. That looks like the new security program over at the HQ...I had no idea they made a Mechamon for it...it must be one of a kind... You mind...if I...may I...touch it?" Then she took out her device and typed with perfect punctuation like the nerd she was. "So you have no clue about this apart from what it has been designed after? This is weird though. We found this, and these too, I reckon, either scattered around the place, or in the possession of wild pokemon. Also what would that blue shard might be?" He was also clearly overjoyed to be holding the P-AZ Mechamon in his hands. He held it close to his eye, examining every nook and cranny with precision and sensibility unbecoming of his large fingers and hands. "These two are good too. That Exeggutor was part of the #04 line of Mechamon. The Gabite isn't seasonal but is still one of the relatively rare figures. I got only four." The excitement from examining the Mechamon quickly died out when he figured Cathode asked about the Shard too. "It's a Splash Shard we've encountered with the Wailord. It merged with the Nexus. She figured she would learn about this later from the others. Terry seemed to fail to understand the most puzzling issue about these mechamons, so she typed down, "The issue is that they were scattered in this new nexus. How would they find their way here? He said as the little bat return to her pokeball, "Kalva, change with me, Verna won't be able to battle as long as this gravity kept Verna from airborn." While the rest of the team was probably more versed with the area from there time here, she had no idea what was here. If she could find some form of advantage to help them, she’d need to make use of it against this powerful enemy. She pulled out her A-Comm, trying to find an application to help her analyze the area before following her allies in combat. “Everybody, try to weaken its defenses!” Broughton nodded her head as she tried to keep up off the ground as Gravity attempted to pull it down. “Rock Smash and lower its defenses!” She dashed towards the tree, readying her fist while trying to push through the whirlwind to strike the tree’s bark. Radovan reaches out to gently pat Emmanuel on the head when they turned to face him. "Of course I am coming with you! There's no real use in just standing around here after all". Radovan then waits for Emmanuel and Zeta to make their way down the well first before he does the same, as he reasoned that he would be strong enough to help lift them out of the well if something unfortunate happens.
