[IC] Lowlife Chapter 0.9: A heated discussion

Yours Truly

Recommended Posts

Simon coughs as he recovers from the hit given by this tank of a man. "What in the bloody... Nope, nope, nope, this has got to stop..." Simon says with an angry tone in his voice.

Simon, who was still disoriented from this hit, called upon the powers of weeb-slaying to at least make a headshot.

He says: "O great gun of weeb-slaying, may this shot destroy weebs and this non-weeb. May this shot be infused with my bitter hatred for weebs. Amen."

Simon shoots for the man's seemingly human head, hoping he dies from a headshot.

"Damn this thing!" Darien grumbled. He hit it with his hand, as though he thought it were malfunctioning in some manner. Sighing, he brought it up to his cheek, pointed it towards the mage's torso, and fired three more shots. He had to hit the guy this time.

Darien fires three shots at the guy he keeps missing.

Simon successfully invokes the power of the Slayer of weebs, and he manages to blow a small hole into the man's head, which causes him to flop down, seemingly dead for now....

Darien's aimed shots hit home, causing the man to jump backwards like someone who has been shot in an old and most likely bad western movie, in his final moments he throws a powerbolt at Darien which while weak staggers him long enough for...

Rorik successful bear hugs Darien, and he proceeds to whisper sweet, and drunken nothings into the man's ear, one wonders why he had decided to pursue this course of action....

Maria would find no valid targets for her power bolt spell.

"WHAT THE HELL. Get off of me!" Darien growled this bit, trying to push the apparently non-malevolent stranger away from himself. He pulled his way over the the woman he had clocked with his gun, still feeling a bit woozy from the hit he had taken. Darien knelt down, and began to rifle through her pockets, grab her gun, and her ammo.

Darien tries to escape the stranger, and loot the machinegun toting woman.

Simon goes to the seemingly dead Not-Terminator and points his gun at his head saying one word only a necromancer would say: "Die."

Simon goes onto shooting the guy's head more until Simon is entirely sure he was dead.

"Rest knowing that your life was but a flicker among a sea of flames." Simon said as he looted him.

After several dozen awkward moments Darien managed to break free from Rorik's grasp, and it didn't take much for him to strip the unconci-. I mean collect the loot from the unconcious woman, yet another submachinegun, although a much more stylish one with a folding stock and three different, yet regular pistol clips.

Simon managed to make some more small holes on the surface of the man's head, and he managed to snag the shotgun and the stick and shock rounds loaded inside of it from the hopefully dead man.

You are now reminded of the fact that at some point somebody would have noticed the many loud gunshots, and you may want to leave to your choice of hideout for now, perhaps after grabbing some loot?

((If combat is not over, disregard this action))

Maria, seeing all the robbers were incapacitated, jolts up, makes sure her hood is still up, and begins to loot the Mage guy. After that, she stuffs her pockets with food, and rushes to exit the Stuffer Shack. She doesn't have a specific destination in mind. He will lead her to safety.

Maria would not find much inside of the pockets of the mage, other than a broken certified credstick that had at some point contained three thousand nuyen, or at least that is what the partly shattered display said before turning off for the last time, and a Rating 2 Magical foci in the shape of a wand, it seems to be able to increase the power of certain offensive spells.

Maria would most likely either head towards the nearest Lodge or Angel's occupied space.

"Oh! These will be handy. Is there anything else?" Darien muttered. After a quick inspection, he grabbed the machine pistol. He checked through the pockets of the woman, and, after that, dashed out of the store. He had  no real idea where he was running, so he simply followed the magic woman, at a decent distance. His only real thought was to get out of the Stuffer Shack before anyone misinterpreted his actions.

*CRASH*thud*

"AAAARRRGH fuck this!"  Aerumna screamed at the monitor, who did not have the same unfortunate fate as the mouse .... yet.  He had been attempting to solo an instanced dungeon, but after ~20 attempts he was on the verge of giving up.  He had tried with a random party before, but everyone was so incompetent it had been even worse.  "Where is Rozen when you need her? Also why i keep playing games where this eye is so useless? Doesnt matter whether you know if you will crit or not if you can't do anything about it!"

He stood up. Immediately he felt his balance failing him, so he held on to the desk.  After adjusting his balance, he slowly and gently walked towards the outlet of his frustration: the mouse. His legs were improving, but still had much more to go.  He picked the mouse up and checked it out.  Yup. It could still take some more beating before it would break.

He took his seat back in front of the PC and stared at the screen without focusing anywhere. The time on the bottom right clearly told him he would be better off sleeping instead of wasting his time in fruitless endeavors.  Maybe it was right. He prepared to log out but-

>Friend DeadlyRozen is now online.

...or he could stay up a little longer.

-"DeadlyRozen nice timing for your insomnia to strike ^__^

-DeadlyRozen: oh please ...   But yeah, if i had a chance at namind the neighbour's dog, i WOULD name it Insomnia..

-"DeadlyRozen hah.  Regardless, you are my only salvation in this universe of noobility.  Mind logging with your healer and coming with me to dark diamond chasm?

-DeadlyRozen: oooh i would loooove to buuuut i still have 13 hours before i can re-enter that one. sucks to be you :'(

-"DeadlyRozen  shit...

Simon, now satisfied with the dead Not-Terminator's corpse seemingly lifeless body on the ground, grabs the shotgun from the body. He notices some leftover ammo left in the gun. He hears sirens and the sound of combat boots in the distance. As he heard these seemingly distant noises, Simon procures more snacks and the shotgun and proceeds to climb up a nearby fire escape which lead to a rooftop that made a beautiful skyline. Simon's phone rings and he quickly answers knowing that it was the gang leaders.

"Yes, mission complete." He says.

He ended the call and headed to a close building with a fire escape to climb down. As the rain began to come down heavily on Simon's hood, he walks off to the base as the night covered him.

Dave has always liked Simon; the man was quite dependable. Granted there was that time when he almost started an unwinnable war with the Yakuza, which is part of the reason why Straight Dave never really gave Simon any of the more important missions, or you know, let the man do much of anything other than practicing shooting paper targets.

This was why he had sent Simon over to get some snacks; it was a late night and he knew that three other Angels (Although of course none of them looked as good as Simon) had already went there, and he thought that it would make a good opportunity for the young man, a way to get him to come out of his shell a little and learn a life skill that isn't related to brutally murdering Japanese citizens.

This is why when Straight Dave finally met Simon in the apartment on 52nd street, he was quite surprised to find the man's clothes to be drenched in blood, and not to mention the shotgun that he is carrying around.

It was at this point that Straight Dave realized that he has made a mistake. "Are those the snacks I asked you to buy? Or are you just happy to see me?".

There were in fact, many different fronts for The Black Lodge, one cannot just set up shop across the street of a Catholic church and call yourself "The Church of everything that is unholy and against everything the church across the street stands for" after all. Well you could but you wouldn't last long.

But somewhere inside of 48th street in University way lives a certain talismonger in a certain idyllic looking church, her name was Sister Maria, and she was in fact, a member of the Black Lodge.

Rorik slowly coming too, and hazily recollecting events prior.

"Did I try to fuck a guy?" he thinks to himself, noticing the scurrying of people around him. He gets up and notices the bed of broken glass he had, nothing more than papercuts but not the greatest feeling to have beer poured into. Stiffly walking as though he has a rash (he nicked his taint) he picks up a wooden broom to use as a cruch before stealing some painkillers. He starts to walk out of the store.

Simon, weary from the battle, gave Dave the snacks as promised. He suddenly faints in his arms from the traumatic battle that had happened at the convenience store. Simon later woke up in a bedroom. He checked his surroundings and Simon was indeed back at home. Simon lives in an apartment with his "boss" "Straight" Dave. Simon notices that his black and red hoodie had been taken off. Upon closer inspection, he noticed he was patched up as well.

"Dave really took care of me, didn't he...?" Simon said to himself.

He then started to repair his arms(weapons) for another day of possible combat...

Maria would find that the sturdy double doors of the church does not have a crack, although the lack of sirens or shouting should clue her in to that fact.

Rorik successfully shuffles out of the store, and he can in fact see several Lone Star cars converging to the Store's position, although he is far away enough to not be suspected of being involved.

Simon would hear a polite knocking on the door leading to his room, and a muffled question of "Are you decent?" Straining to make itself heard behind the door.

A block or so behind the woman, Darien finally came to his senses.

"Why am I following this person?" he grumbled. With a grunt, he turned around, and began the long traipse back towards his apartment on 52nd street.

Rorik has finally made it back to the apartment complex and think's to himself "What the fuck did I go out for last night?", heading back into his apartment he notices the bare cupboards and it all starts coming back to him, that he's still pretty fucking hungry.

Simon, still repairing his first pistol in which he named Shi which meant death, kept working at breakneck speed to make it look and work as good as new. He heard a muffled voice beyond the door. He picked up the still-bloodied shot gun from the Not-Terminator, and slowly opens the door. He goes through the opening, tackles whoever was near the door, and points gun at his cranial area.

"Who goes there..?" Simon said

Darien would eventually be greeted by the majestic sight of the Royale apartment building, or at least it would have been majestic if you weren't used to living inside of the grimy little place that is.

Simon would be greeted by an inquisitive "It's Dave, may I come in?".

Maria would be greeted by Sister Maria, an aging woman in a brown jacket and pants combo of presumably no relation with a simple "It kind of ruins the point of having a secret hideout if you're just going to barge in like that, and I thought I taught you better than that".
